27 2. 사상의역사 우리고장사상지역에사람이살기시작한것은기원을전후한 2000 여년전으로보인다. 이는모라동과학장동의 패총유적을통하여김해문화기의김해식토기파편이발견된것으로알수있다. 당시의낙동강하구는패총이남겨진위치가모두언덕위인점으로보아넓은바다였을것으로여겨진다. 이무렵동래에는독로국이있었으므로낙동강하구의동안지역인사상은이세력하에있었다. 이때는삼한시대로변한에속하였으며변한 12국중독로국에속해있는지역이었다. 독로국의이름은기원 3세기중국에서편찬한삼국지위지동이전에기록되어있으며삼국사기에는거칠산국, 삼국유사 동국여지승람에는장산국또는내산국이라기록되어있다. 거칠산이란이름은거칠뫼 ( 황령산 ) 에서온것이며, 신라탈해왕 (A.D. 57~79) 때신라에병합되었고, 신라지증왕 15년 (A.D. 505년 ) 에거칠산군이되었다. 거칠산군에는두개의속현이있었는데, 그하나는갑화량곡현이며또하나는당감동근처에그치소를갖고있던대증현이다. 갑하량곡현은뒤에기장현이되었고대증현은동평현이되었으니사상은동평현에속했다. 그뒤경덕왕 16년 (757) 에이르러이제까지의행정조직체계를정리하고주, 군, 현의이름을중국식으로고쳤으니그 9주중의하나가양주이다. 양주에 12 군이있었는데, 그중의하나가동래군이며여기에는동평현과기장현의두현이딸렸으니사상은구포, 주례, 개금지대에이어진지역으로동평현에속했다. 고려성종2년 (983) 에지방관제가반포되었는데, 전국에 12목을두었다. 이때의사상은상주목에속해있었다. 성종 14년 (995) 12목제도를고쳐전국을 10도로나누고종전의 12목은 12주로고쳤는데사상은영동도양주군동평현에속해있었다. 현종 13 년 (1021) 5 도양계제도의정착으로사상지역은경상도양산군동평현에속했다. 이후조선초기까지사상지역은양산군동평현에속해있었으나조선태종 5 년 (1405) 에동래현의 속현이되었고, 태종 9년 (1409) 에다시양산에속하였다가세종 10년 (1428) 에다시동래현의속현이되었으며그후속현제도의폐지로동래현에완전흡수되었고, 명종 2년 (1547) 동래현이동래부로승격되었다. 영조 16년 (1740) 편찬된동래부지에의하면동래부관한행정구역은읍내면, 동면, 남촌면, 동평면, 사천면, 서면, 북면의 7개면으로되어있었으며사상지역은사천면에속해있었다. 27

28 또한동래부사천면상단지역으로서주례리, 모라리, 괘내리, 덕포리, 장문리, 엄광리의 6 개리가나오는데사천면은 상단과하단으로되었고그뒤에상단은사상면, 하단은사하면으로불렀다. 사상면에는냉정촌, 주례촌, 감동촌, 괘내촌, 덕포촌, 모라촌의 6개촌이있는것으로기록되어있는데면사무소는괘내리동쾌마을에있었다 부 군폐합으로동래군사상면이되었으며 부산직할시승격시면사무소가폐지되고부산진구사상출장소가되었다가 구포출장소와통합, 시직할출장소가설치되고 북구가설치되었으며 북구관할에있던삼락동, 모라동, 덕포동, 괘법동, 감전동, 주례동, 학장동, 엄궁동지역을분할하여사상구로발족하게되었다. 그후 사상구도서관이신설되었고, 모라1동과모라2동이통ㆍ폐합되어모라1동이되고, 감전1동과감전2동이통ㆍ폐합되어감전동이되었으며이로써사상구에는총12개의행정동으로되었다. 28

29 2. History of Sasang The first time when people started to live in the Sasang area seems to have been approximately two thousand years ago. It is proved that in the shell mound remains in Moradong and Hakjangdong, pieces of Gimhaestyled broken earthenware, which were produced prior to the Gimhae Period, were found. During that time, the place in which the shell mounds remain was on the hilltop, so that the river mouth of Nakdonggang River appeared to be a vast sea. In addition, because Dongnogug existed in Dongrea, Sasang located in the Donggan area of the mouth of Nakdonggang River was under the rule of Dongnoguk. At this time, Sasang was involved in Byeon Han among the Three Han States, and Byeon Han had twelve small countries including Dongnoguk. The name Dongnoguk was recorded in Samgukjiwidongyijeon published in China in the third century B.C. It was also recorded in Samguksagi (The Chronicles of the Three States) with a different name, Geochilsanguk, and in Donggukyeojiseungnam of Samgukyusa (The Heritage of the Three States) with different names: Jangsanguk and Naesanguk. The name Geochilsan originated from Geochilmoe (Mt. Hwangnyeongsan). It was incorporated into Silla during the King of Talhae s reign (5779 A.D.); in the 15 th year of King Jijeung s reign of the Silla Dynasty(505A.D.), it became Geochilsanguk. Geochilsanguk had two hyeons: one was Gaparyanggokhyeon, and the other was Daejeunghyeon in Danggamdong. Afterword, Gaparyanggokhyeon became Gijanghyeon, and Daejeunghyeon became Dongpyeonghyeon, so Sasang became involved in Dongpyeonghyeon. In the 16 th year of King Gyeongdeok s reign(757a.d.), the existing administrative organization system was reorganized, so that ju, gun, andhyeon changed into the Chinese system. One of the nine jus was Yangju. Yangju had 12 guns, and one of them was Dongnaegun. Dongnaegun had both Dongpyeonghyeon and Gijanghyeon, and Sasang was involved in Dongpyeonghyeon. In the 2 nd year of King Seongjong s reign of the Goryeo Dynasty, the local administrative district system was proclaimed, and the 12moks system was established. At this time, Sasang became involved in Sangjumok. 29

30 In the 14 th year of King Seongjong s reign(995a.d.), the 12moks system was revised, and the entire nation was divided into 10 dos; furthermore, theexisting 12moks changed into12 jus. Sasang was involved in Yeongdongdo Yangjugun Dongpyeonghyeon. In the 13 th year of King Hyeonjong s reign(1021a.d.), the 5 do Yanggye system was wellpromoted, so that the Sasang area became involved in Gyeongsangdo Yangsangun Dongpyeonghyeon. Until the early period of the Joseon Dynasty, Sasang was involved in Yangsangun Dongpyeonghyeon, but it became involved in Dongnaehyeon in the 9 th year of King Taejong sreign (1409), and in the 10 th year of King Sejong s reign(1428), it became involved in Dongnaehyeon again. Afterward, the Sokhyeon system was abolished, and Sasang was completely involved indongnaehyeon. In the 2 nd year of King Myeongjong s reign(1547), Dongnaehyeon was raised to the status of Dongnaebu. According to Dongnaebuji, published in the 16 th year of King Yeongjo s reign(1740), the administrative district of Dongnabu consisted of 7 myeons (Eumnaemyeon, Dongmyeon, Namchonmyeon, Dongpyeongmyeon, Sacheonmyeon, Seomyeon, and Bukmyeon), and the Sasang area was involved in Sacheonmyeon. Moreover, Sacheonmyeon was divided into upper and lower towns; the upper town of Sacheonmyeon of Dongnaebu had 6 ris including Juryeri, Morari, Gwaenaeri, Deokpori, Jangmunri, and Eomgwangri. Later, the upper town became Sasangmyeon, and the lower town became Sahamyeon. Sasangmyeon had 6 chons including Naengjeongchon, Juryechon, Gamdongchon, Gwaenaechon, Deokpochon, and Morachon, and the Myeon Office located in Dongkwae Village of Gwaenaeri. On March 1, 1914, bu and gun were abolished and amalgamated, so it became Dongnaegun Sasangmyeon; on January 1, 1963, when Busan was raised to the status of a city under the direct control of the central government, the Myeon Office was abolished and the Busanjingu Sasang Local Office was established. On October 1, 1975, it was combined with the Gupo Local Office and became the City Local Office under the direct control of the city. On February 15, 1978, Bukgu was established; on March 1, 1995, Samnakdong, Moradong, Deokpodong, Gwaebeopdong, Gamjeondong, Juryedong, Hakjangdong, and Eomgungdong in Bukgo were unmerged and became Sasanggu. On November 20, 2002, Sasang Library was newly constructed, and on January 1, 2008, Mora 1(il) and 2(i)dongs were merged into Mora 1(il)dong; Gamjeon 1(il) and 2(i)dongs were merged into Gamjeondong, bringing Sasanggu to its current status with 12 administrative dongs. 30
