In this collection fishes of Cyprinidae were 24 species and 4 types, most numerous possessing 59.1% of all. There were 16 Korean endemic species including Acheilognathus yamatsutae and Odontobutis platycephala, 3 endangered species such as Pseudobagrus brevicorpus and Koreocobitis naktongensis (rank I) and Culter brevicauda (rank II) and 2 exotic species such as Micropterus salmoides and Lepomis macrochirus. Fish species transferred from other native rivers were 4 species including Opsariichthys uncirostris amurensis, Hemiculter eigenmanni, Odontobutis interrupta and Tridentiger brevispinis. Dominant species was Zacco koreanus NS type (19.2%) and sub-dominant species was Z. platypus R type (16.1%). The structure of fish community in the Hoecheon Stream was very stable and diverse in having diversity 2.91, evenness 0.77, dominance 0.35 and species richness Fish community was divided into 4 groups such as upper, middle, midlower and lower group based on similarity among surveyed stations. Key words: Ichthyofauna, community structure, Hoecheon Stream, Nakdonggang River, Korea 서 최근다양한하천공사에의해서어류의서식처가심각하 게파괴되고있으며, 외래종의도입과하천간어류의이입이 빈번하게일어나어류의분포상에많은변화가있었다 (ISK, 2003; Chae, 2007). 따라서어류상에대한주기적연구는담수 어류의변화를파악하고파괴된하천을복구하거나종의복원 에필요한기초자료를제시할뿐아니라, 어류의지사학적인 론 변화에대한고찰을가능하게하므로매우중요하다. 회천수계는고령군과성주군에걸쳐흐르는하천으로유 로연장 78.0 km, 유역면적 km 2 의하천 (MOCT, 2000; * Corresponding author: Byung Soo Chae Tel: , Fax: , nuchi@hanmail.net MOCT and KOWACO, 2002) 이다. 회천은가야산 (1,430 m) 의동쪽백운동계곡의용기폭포에서발원하여덕곡면의동쪽으로흘러대가천에합류하는소가천 ( 유로연장 19.0 km) 과김천시증산면수도산 (1,316 m) 에서발원하여가야산의북쪽계곡을서에서동으로흘러성주군수륜면에서회천본류로합류하는대가천수계, 가야산남쪽해인사의홍류동계곡에서발원하여가야천 ( 유로연장 25.8 km), 안림천이차례로이어져고령읍에서회천에합류하는안림천수계로이루어져있다. 회천은고령읍우곡면을지나낙동강에합류한다. 회천과인접한소하천인덕곡천 ( 유로연장 8.0 km), 차천 ( 유로연장 23.1 km), 현풍천 ( 유로연장 km) 은낙동강에합류하는제1지류이다. 회천의어류에대한연구는 Yang (1986) 이 12과 29속 34종을보고하였고, 그이후로가야산국립공원일대종합학술조사보고 (Jeon and Hoang, 1990) 와회천본류및지류 (Chae et 205

Map showing the sampling stations in the Hoecheon Stream and adjacent tributaries in the middle of the Nakdonggang River, Korea. 어류상조사는 2016년 7월부터 2017년 8월까지각지점당 2회씩실시하였다. 각조사지점에서의채집은약 200 m 정도의구간에서실시하였으며, 가능한한다양한서식처가포함되도록하였다. 채집도구로는투망 ( 망목 7 7 mm), 족대 ( 망목 3 3 mm), 손그물 ( 망목 1 1 mm), 유인어망 ( 새우망 ) 을사용하였다. 채집된어류는어종을확인하고개체수를기록한후대부분을즉시방류하였다. 종의검색에는 Uchida (1939), Chyung (1977), Son (1987), Kim (1997), Kim et al. (2005a) 을참고하였으며, 분류체계는 Nelson (2006) 을따랐다. Chae and Yoon (2006) 및 Yoon et al. (2012) 에따라 Z. koreanus와 Z. platypus 를형별로구분하여조사하였고, 이를어류상에반영하였다. 하상재료는 Cummins (1962) 의방법을변형하여 Mud (M: <0.1 mm), Sand (S: 0.1~2 mm), Pebble (P: 2~64 mm), Cobble (C: 64~256 mm), Boulder (B: >256 mm), Rock (R: large stone and bedrock) 으로하고육안관찰에의하여상대비율을구하

3 회천의어류상과군집구조 207 였으며, 하천형의구분은 Kani (1944) 에따랐다. 어류의군집구조의분석에는각조사지점에서채집된어종의개체수를기준으로종다양도, 우점도, 균등도및종풍부도를산출하여비교분석하였다 (Simpson, 1949; Shannon and Weaver, 1949; Pielou, 1966; McNaughton, 1967). 조사지역전체에어떤종이얼마나널리분포하고있는지를나타내는지수로서항존도 (Constancy) 를사용하였으며 [ 각종의출현지점수 / 전체조사지점수 100 (%)] 로표현하였다. 각지점간의유사도계산과 dendrogram의작성에는 PRIMER v5 (Clarke and Gorley, 2001) 를사용하였다. 결과및고찰 1. 조사지점의환경각조사지점의세부적인물리적구조는 Table 1에나타내었다. 회천의본류에해당하는대가천 ( 유로연장 53.5 km) 의상류에는 1992년완공된농업용수용인성주댐 ( 높이 60 m, 면적 35.3 km 2 ) 이있는데, 댐상류부는전형적인계류형자연하천으로양호한수환경을유지하고있고, 댐아래수역은유지수량이연중안정되고풍부하였다. 성주댐상류부는하천의구조 가 Aa형으로암반, 호박돌또는왕자갈이많았으며, 댐하류부는 Aa-Bb형이었다. 안림천 ( 유로연장 42.8 km) 의최상류부는가야산국립공원에해당되어수환경이안정적이고자연하천그대로의모습을유지하고있는반면, 하류부로갈수록평야부농경지와인구밀집지대를지나면서부영양화가심해졌다. 상류부의가야천과묘산천은 Aa형, 이두하천이합류하여내려가는안림천은 Bb형의구조였다. 대가천과안림천이고령읍에서합류한이후남진하여낙동강과합류하기까지의하천은하상에모래와진흙이많았으며 Bb>Bb-Bc>Bc형으로변하였다. 본조사지점중, 가장하류에해당하는 St. 16은낙동강과합류하기직전의부분으로하폭과유수폭이매우넓고수심도깊었다. 회천의하류본류부는주변에서들어오는유기물질로인해다소부영양화되어있었으며탁도가높았다. 그외의낙동강제1지류인덕곡천 ( 유로연장 8 km), 차천 ( 유로연장 23.1 km), 현풍천 ( 유로연장 11.5 km) 은규모가작고매우부영양화되어있었으며, 특히차천의경우달창저수지에서낙동강합류부까지하상의평탄화공사로하천이심하게변형되었다. 4 208 채병수 김상기 강영훈 허남수 유동욱 박재민 하헌욱 2. 어류상과분포 1) 어류상본조사결과, 회천및인접하천수계에서밝혀진어종은 11과 32속 42종 4형으로모두 10,012개체가채집되었다 (Table 2). 과별어종의수를보면 Cyprinidae 어류가 24종 4 형 (59.1%) 으로가장많았으며, Cobitidae 어류가 4종 (9.1%), Gobiidae 어류가 3종 (6.8%), Centropomidae, Odontobutidae, Centrarchidae 어류는각각 2종 (4.5%) 이었고, 1종만출현한것은 5개과였다. Cyprinidae와 Cobitidae 어류의구성비율이매우높은이같은어류상의특징은한반도의서한및남한아지역에서공통적으로나타나는현상이며, 동아시아담수어류의분포특징과잘일치한다 (Jeon, 1980). 조사지점별로채집된종수는 2종에서 27종까지다양하였다. 대가천과안림천이합류하는 St. 12에서는 27종으로종수가가장많았으며, 그다음은최하류에해당하는 St. 15에서 22종으로많이출현하였다. 그외에중류에해당하는 St. 3, 4, 6, 11 및하류에해당하는 St. 13, 14에서 16~19종이출현하여비교적다양하였다. 회천중류의소지류인 St. 5에서는 2종, 가야천의상류인 St. 7에서는 3종으로어류상이빈약하였다 (Fig. 2). 제1지류각각의수계별로어류상을보면회천에서는 38종, 덕곡천에서는 16종, 차천에서는 19종, 현풍천에서는 12종이출현하여회천이많고현풍천에서적었다. 이와같은결과는하천의유로연장과유역면적에비례하는것으로생각된다. 회천과인접하천수계에서출현한어류중한반도고유종은 Rhodeus uyekii, Acheilognathus koreensis, A. yamatsutae, Coreoleuciscus splendidus, Cobitis hankugensis, Koreocobitis naktongensis, Kichulchoia multifasciata, Pseudobagrus brevicorpus 등의 16종으로이지역에서밝혀진전체어종수의 36.4% 에해당하는높은고유종의출현을보였다. 본지역의고유종출현비율은한반도전체의담수어류에대한고유종의빈도인 28.8% (Kim et al., 2005a) 보다더높았다. 큰강의중상류 1차지류들인금호강 (14종, 33.3%; Yang and Chae, 1994), 위천 (16종, 40.0%; Chae et al., 1998), 내린천 (16종, 44.4%; Nam et al., 1998), 홍천강 (23종, 44.2%; Choi and Kim, 2004) 과는비슷하였다. 본조사에서멸종위기야생생물은 I급인 K. naktongensis와 P. brevicorpus, II급인 Culter brevicauda의 3종이출현하였다. K. naktongensis는 5지점에서 17개체가채집되어비교적많았으나, P. brevicorpus는 1지점에서 3개체, Culter brevicauda는 1 지점에서 1개체가채집되어희소하였다. 회천일대에서출현한외래종은 Micropterus salmoides 와 Lepomis macrochirus 2종이었다. M. salmoides와 L. macrochirus는회천의하류부인 St. 13~16과덕곡천의하류, 차천의하류에서식하고있었으며중상류에서는확인되지않았다. 본조사지역에국내이입종은 Opsariichthys uncirostris amurensis, Hemiculter eigenmanni, Odontobutis interrupta, Tridentiger brevispinis의 4종이확인되었다. 이들중 O. uncirostris amurensis는단기간에낙동강중하류의거의대부분의지역에퍼져나가많은곳에서우점종의지위를차지하였고, 기존에서식하던소형어류들에게큰영향을미치고있다 (Yang et al., 1997; Jeon, 1999; Chae, 2000; Jang et al., 2001; Kum and Yang, 2002; Kang et al., 2004, 2005). 또 O. interrupta는낙동강에서분포지역이계속넓어지고있는추세이다 (Chae, unpublished data). 국내이입종에대하여 Chae (2003) 는 7종, Kang (2011) 은 12종, Chae et al. (2015) 은 16종으로보고하여계속증가하고있으며, 현재까지낙동강에는 18종의국내이입종이보고되었다 (Table 3). 2) 우점종회천과주변수계에서는 Zacco koreanus NS (19.16%) 가우점종, Z. platypus R (17.15%) 이아우점종이었다. 그외에 K. multifasciata (6.71%), C. splendidus (5.36%), Pungtungia herzi (4.54%), O. uncirostris amurensis (4.38%), T. brevispinis (4.14%), Z. koreanus NE형 (4.11%) 등은우세종이었다. 반면에 A. macropterus, Z. temminckii, C. brevicauda, Silurus asotus, P. brevicorpus, Siniperca scherzeri, O. interrupta, Channa argus, Macropodus ocellatus 등의 9종은상대풍부도가 0.1% 미만으로써희소종이었다 (Table 2). 각조사지점에서우점종으로나타난어종은 Z. koreanus NS, Z. koreanus NE, Z. platypus R, Rhynchocypris oxycephalus, O. uncirostris amurensis, H. eigenmanni, Carassius auratus, T. brevispinis, L. macrochirus 등의 9종이었으며, Z. koreanus NS가 8개지점으로가장우세하였다. Z. platypus R, R. oxycephalus, K. multifasciata 등 15종이아우점종으로나타나각지점별로달랐다 (Table 4). O. uncirostris amurensis, H. eigenmanni, L. macrochirus, T. brevispinis와같은국내이입종과외래종이우점종이나아우점종의지위를차지한지점은 6지점이었다. 이들지점은주로각하천의최하류지역이어서정수생태계로변한낙동강본류의영향을받는지역이다. L. macrochirus는흐르는하천에서는살지못하는어종으로낙동강본류구간에서는이때까지발견되지않았으나 4대강사업이후낙동강본류에서점차분포범위가넓어지고개체수가증가하여우점종의지위를차지하게되었다 (NERC, 2016). 본조사지역의회천하류 St. 16에서 L. macrochirus가우점종으로나타난것은그영향을받은것으로생각된다. T. brevispinis는현풍천하류인 St. 24에서우점종으로출현한것외에회천과차천의하류부에다수가출

O. platycephala는상대풍부도는 0.96% 로낮았으나항존도가가장높았다. 이는개체수는적지만넓은지역에분포하고있음을나타내는데, 작은물고기를포식하는종의생태적특성과관련이있을것으로생각된다. 그외에 Squalidus gracilis majimae, Z. platypus R, Z. koreanus NS, Coreoperca herzi도비교적분포가넓었다. M. ocellatus, C. argus, O. interrupta, S. scherzeri, P. brevicorpus, S. asotus, C. brevicauda, Z. temminckii, A. macropterus, A. rhombeus, A. yamatsutae, A. intermedius 등의어종은 1~2지점에서만출현하여분포범위가매우좁았다. 이들중 Acheilognathinae에속하는 4종의어류는담수이매패의체내에산란하는특성을지니고있기때문에하천의평탄화나수질의오염에의하여산란장역할을하는담수이매패가살지못하는환경이만들어지면함께감소하거나소멸된다. 따라서최근에더욱빈번하게이루어지고있는하천공사가 Acheilognathinae 어류의분포에악영향을미치고있음을보여주고있다. 3. 어류군집구조 1) 생태학적특성다양도지수, 균등도지수, 우점도지수, 종풍부도등의군집구조를나타내는생태학적특성은 Table 5에나타낸바와같다. 종풍부도는 St. 12에서 3.871로가장높았으며, St. 6, 13, 15 Table 5. St. 5 와 7 에서는 0.4 이하로낮았다. 균 등도지수는 St. 22 에서 가장높았으며, St. 4, 6, 9, 11, 12, 16 에서도 0.7 이상으로높았다. 다양도지수는 St. 12 에서 2.372

St. 5와 17에서 0.4 이하로가장낮았다. 이와는반대로우점도지수는 St. 5에서 1.000, St. 2에서 0.942, St. 17에서 0.910으로높았으며, St. 16에서는 0.5 이하로낮았다. 전체적으로는다양도 2.894, 균등도 0.765, 우점도 0.353, 종풍부도 4.668이었다. 이와같은군집구조와출현어종의수등으로보아회천일대의하천에서는 St. 12와 St. 11의두지점이있는회천의중류부일대가가장다양하고안정된군집구조를지니고있는것으로판단되었다. 회천과주변하천수계에서각조사지점별로채집된어종의수와군집지수사이의상관관계를나타낸것은 Fig. 3과같다. 종풍부도는어종의수가많아짐에따라거의직선적으로증가하였는데, 상관계수는 R 2 =0.9833으로매우높았다. 다양도역시어종수의증가에따라지수적인증가경향을보였고상관계수는 R 2 =0.8235로높았다. 균등도는종수의증가에따라약간증가하는경향을보였으나상관계수가 R 2 =0.2095로매우낮아큰경향성은없었다. 우점도는다양도및균등도와는반대의경향을보였으며, 상관계수는 R 2 =0.7723으로비교적높았다. 이와같은어종수와생태지수의상관관계는영강 (Chae et al., 2014) 과낙동강상류 (Chae et al., 2015) 에서도보고되어있는데, 본조사의결과도이들선행연구와비슷하였다 ) 군집간의관계 Similarity (%) Upper Fig. 4. A dendrogram showing the grouping of fish community. 채집된어종의종류, 어종수와개체수에근거하여각집단 간의유사도지수를계산하였고, 이를바탕으로작성한수지도 는 Fig. 4 에나타내었다. 유사도 15% 의수준에서크게 4 개의 집단으로구분할수있었다. 먼저 St. 1, 2, 5 등의 5 개지점이 하나의집단을형성하였으며, 주로상류에위치하는지점들이 Middle Mid-lower Lower

9 회천의어류상과군집구조 213 었다. 다음은 St. 3, 4, 6, 8 등이포함되는집단으로 8개지점이소속되었으며, 중류및중상류에위치하였다. St. 12와 13을포함하여 6개지점이또하나의집단으로묶였는데, 이들지점은주로중하류에위치하였다. 마지막으로 St. 16, 18 등의 6지점이하나의집단으로묶였으며, 대체로낙동강과합류하는부분의최하류에해당하는지점들이었다. 이들 4개의집단을하천도위에경계선을그어표시하고하천에서의위치및어종의구성에따라서상류집단, 중상류집단, 중류집단및하류집단으로구분하였다 (Fig. 5). 구분된 4개집단각각에대하여어종별개체수를나타낸것은 Fig. 6과같다. 상류집단에서는 Z. koreanus NS, Z. koreanus NE, R. oxycephalus가가장많았고, 다른어종의비율은낮았다. 중류집단에서는 Z. koreanus NS가우점종이었으며, K. multifasciata, C. splendidus, Z. platypus B, P. herzi 가우세하였다. 중하류집단에서는 Z. platypus R이우점종이었으며, O. uncirostris amurensis, R. brunneus, T. brevispinis가우세하였다. 하류집단에서는 H. eigenmanni가우점종이었으며, T. brevispinis, L. macrochirus, Z. platypus R, O. uncirostris amurensis가우세하였다. 4. 어류상의장기적변화 회천의어류상에대해서는 1980 년대부터비교적주기적 으로조사되었다 (Yang, 1986; Hong, 1996; Chae et al., 1996; ME, ). 이들조사결과와본조사의결과를 Fig. 7 에 Upper Middle Mid-lower Lower Middle Fig. 5. The color of the bar means: green bars represent the fish species whose population is decreasing, black bars represent species that have not changed significantly and red bars represent exotic species or introduced species from other rivers in Korea. 서비교하였다. 선행조사를포함한네차례의조사에서우점종이 Z. koreanus인것은변화가없었다. 시기에따라약간의차이는있으나 Z. platypus도계속아우점종의수준으로우세하게출현하고있었다. 또한 P. herzi와 K. multifasciata도계속우세하게출현하고있어서이지역의전반적인특징을잘나타내었다. C. auratus, R. uyekii, A. yamatsutae, A. koreensis, Pseudorasbora parva, S. gracilis majimae, C. hankugensis, P. brevicorpus, Liobagrus mediadiposalis 등의어종은개체수가계속감소하는추세였다. 이들중 C. auratus, P. parva와 S. gracilis majimae를제외한 6종은하천의바닥구조와밀접한연관을 맺고있는종들이다. Acheilognathinae에속하는종들은하천의바닥에사는담수이매패에산란을하는특성을지니고있으며, C. hankugensis, P. brevicorpus, L. mediadiposalis는저서성어류들이다. 이들의생존여부는하천바닥의건강성유지가가장중요하기때문에개체수의감소는하천바닥이많은교란을받았음을증명하고있다. 반대로 L. macrochirus, M. salmoides, T. brevispinis, H. eigenmanni, O. uncirostris amurensis 등의 5종은 2000년대이후출현하기시작하여개체수가증가하고있는추세이다. 이들은모두외래종이거나국내의다른하천에서이입된종들이다. 회천에서 L. macrochirus와 M. salmoides가아직은 St. 13

Appearance ratios of the types of Zacco koreanus and Z. platypus in each station in the Hoecheon Stream and adjacent tributaries. 보다상류로퍼져나가지못하고있는상황이지만상류로의유입가능성이있으므로면밀한감시가필요하다. 멸종위기야생생물 I급에해당하는 Microphysogobio rapidus 가회천의하류지역인 St. 14에서 1995년조사에서소수가출현하였으나 (Chae et al., 1996), 그이후로는출현하였다는보고가없다. 이지역의현재상황을보면과거에비하여잔자갈이깔린여울이축소되었으며, 대부분모래로덮여있고, 하상에는많은녹조류가부착되어있어서부영양화된것으로추정되므로 M. rapidus가서식하기는어려울것으로보인다. 외래종이나국내이입종에의한어류상의변화나고유종의절멸에대해서는많은연구가있었다 (Maezono et al., 2005; Küçük et al., 2008; Leunda, 2010; Mirza et al., 2011; Jelić et al., 2016). 그외의하천의변형, 수질의오염, 부영양화등과같은인간의활동에의한어류상의변화에대한연구도이루 어지고있다 (Gonçalves and Braga, 2012; Pereira et al., 2014). 이러한연구들의결과와본연구의결과를비교해보면회천에서의어류상변화는하상의평탄화, 보나댐의축조, 직강화등과같은하천의개수에의하여큰영향을받은것으로평가되었다. 5. Zacco속어류의형별분포최근국내의 Zacco temmincki는 Z. temminckii와 Z. koreanus의두종으로분리되었고, 그중 Z. koreanus는다시 3 개의형으로구분할수있음이알려졌다. 또한 Z. platypus도두개의형으로구분되었다 (Kim et al., 2005b; Chae and Yoon, 2006, 2010; Yoon et al., 2012) (Fig. 8). 본조사의대상지역인회천일대에서이들의형별분포양상을지도상에나타내었다

12 216 채병수 김상기 강영훈 허남수 유동욱 박재민 하헌욱 (Fig. 9). Z. koreanus는회천의중류에서부터상류에서식하고있었는데, NE형은상류역에서, NS형은주로중류에단독으로분포하고있었다. 안림천지역의상류부에서는 NS형과 NE형이공서하고있었다. 한편차천과현풍천에는 NS형이서식하고있었다. Z. platypus B형과 R형이있는데, 전반적으로보아 Z. koreanus 만큼상류로진출하지못하고있었다. 이들중 B형은중상류지역에그리고 R형은중하류지역에서식하고있었다. B형과 R형이공서하는곳은회천의 St. 6과현풍천의 St. 24 두지점이었다. 이러한분포양상은기존에알려진 Z. koreanus와 Z. platypus의형별분포와잘일치하였다 (Chae and Yoon, 2006, 2010; Yoon et al., 2012). 한편본조사에서 Z. temminckii가덕곡천에서식하고있음이처음으로밝혀졌다. Z. koreanus와 Z. temminckii가구분된후, 낙동강에서는황강 (Kim et al., 2005b) 과영강 (Chae et al., 2014) 에서서식하는것이알려져있을뿐이다. 따라서낙동강에서 Z. temminckii의미세분포에대한연구가필요할것이다. 요약 2016년 7월부터 2017년 8월까지낙동강수계의 1차지류인회천과인접한소하천들에서 24개지점의어류상을조사하였다. 그결과, 모두 11과 32속 42종 4형의어류가확인되었다. 그중잉어과어류가 24종 4형 (59.1%) 으로가장많았다. 한반도고유종은 A. yamatsutae와 Odontobutis platycephala 등의 16종이었다. 멸종위기야생생물에해당하는종은 I급에 Pseudobagrus brevicorpus와 Koreocobitis naktongensis, II급에 Culter brevicauda로 3종이출현하였다. 외래종은 Lepomis macrochirus와 Micropterus salmoides의두종이있었으며, 국내이입종은 Opsariichthys uncirostris amurensis, Hemiculter eigenmanni, O. interrupta, Tridentiger brevispinis의 4종이확인되었다. 우점종은 Zacco koreanus NS (19.16%), 아우점종은 Zacco platypus R (17.17%) 이었다. 회천과인접하천수계전체에서는다양도 2.894, 균등도 0.765, 우점도 0.353, 종풍부도 4.668로나타나다양하고안정된어류군집을이루고있었다. 어류군집간의유사도를바탕으로작성한수지도에서는상류집단, 중류집단, 중하류집단, 하류집단의 4집단으로구분되었다. 사사 본논문은 2016~2017년경상북도수산자원연구소토속어류산업화센터의공기관대행사업을국립낙동강생물자원관이수행한 낙동강어자원생태계조사 의결과임.
