PATRICK S CELEBRATION CELEBRACION DE SAN PATRICIO Dear Parishioners of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, The celebration of our patron, St. Patrick, is a very popular celebration in this country that goes even beyond the religious celebration. Therefore, in this year 2013, we want to start a new way to celebrate. The Saturday closest to St. Patrick's Day, which this year will be on March 16, we will have a festival for the whole family in Downtown Norcross at Lillian Webb Park; where this parish was for 10 years. The idea is that little by little we involve schools and other institutions of Norcross. This idea is a way to know and to accept the diversity of our parish, but this also will help to know and to accept the diversity of the society in which we live. This Festival will have music, food, entertainment for all, reflecting the diversity of the parish and the city of Norcross. On Sunday March 17th we will have the liturgical celebration of St. Patrick. Auxiliary Bishop Luis Zarama will preside over the 12:00 pm Mass and the 2:00 pm. Mass on this day. I request the support and cooperation of everyone, especially Parish Council, Finance Council, Liturgy Committee and all groups and movements. La celebración de nuestro Santo Patrono, San Patricio, es una celebración muy popular en este País, que va incluso más allá de lo religioso. Por tal motivo, en este año 2013, queremos iniciar una forma un poco diferente de celebrarlo. El Sábado más cercano al día de San Patricio, que este año será el 16 de Marzo, tendremos un festival para toda la familia en el Centro de la Ciudad de Norcross, en el Parque Lillian Webb, lugar donde inicio esta parroquia y estuvo por 10 años. La idea es que poco a poco vayamos involucrando las escuelas, y otras instituciones de Norcross; que sea una forma de no solo conocer y aceptar la gran diversidad de nuestra Parroquia, sino que conozcamos y aceptemos la gran diversidad de la Sociedad en que vivimos. Este Festival tendrá música, comida, entretenimiento para todos, de acuerdo a la diversidad de la parroquia y de esta ciudad de Norcross. El Domingo 17 de Marzo tendremos la celebración litúrgica de San Patricio, para ello vendrá el Obispo Auxiliar Luis Zarama, quien presidirá la Misa de 12:00 del mediodía y la de 2:00 de la tarde. Pido el apoyo y la colaboración de todos, especialmente Consejo Parroquial, Consejo de Finanzas, Comité de Liturgia y todos los grupos y movimientos. To ensure the success of the event, we are inviting all parishioners to participate. St. Patrick 2013 Festival T-shirts will be on sale for $10 after all weekend Masses. Proceeds are to help off-set the cost of the festival. Also, please consider donating any of the following items so that we can have fun and free games for the young kids in the community. Other items will be donated by various ministries, but your generosity is appreciated. We will post more necessary items next week.
