4 Appearance 3 Each unit of WiseTherm Hotplate, WiseStir Magnetic Stirrer & Hotplate Stirrer has an independent model. 7 Operation guide 1. Power-on: Turn on the Power Switch ( 13), and then get into its default mode. 2. Mode Selection: You can change the mode by click MODE switch 8. Stirring Mode (Mode S/W + Jog S/W) (Mode S/W) Heating Mode Temp. Offset Mode Timer Mode Locking Mode (Mode S/W + Jog S/W) - Push Mode S/W and the Jog S/W simultaneously. We support two different temperature control system as follows whether usage of the external sensor, SS200 (optional PT100 sensor) or SS2100 (optional Teflon coated PT100 sensor) or not. (MS-20D n/a) A. If you don t connect PT100 sensor, the temperature is controlled by the measured value of hotplate itself. B. If you connect PT100 sensor, the temperature is controlled by digital feedback and the current value of temperature (3) shows the actual value of solution. The external PT100 sensor is recognized automatically when you plug it in the device. Set Value and Current Value indicate different value at each operation mode, and it is summarized on the Table 1. Stirring Mode / Heating Mode A. After turning on the power, select one between Stirring Mode and Heating Mode and you can confirm the LED of selected mode is flickering. On the panel, the Set Value shows zero or non-zero and the Current Value shows zero if the device is not operated. i. If the set value is non-zero, it means someone has saved the shown value previously. You can use the value simply by clicking (pushing) the jog shuttle at the each mode. Or, you can change the value by turning the jog shuttle at the each mode and click the knob. Then, the device begins to revolve at the set speed or to heat to be reached at the set temperature according to the mode. ii. If the set value is zero, it means any values were not saved and you can adjust the set RPM or temperature by turning the jog shuttle. Then, push the knob and the device begins to revolve at the set speed or to heat to be reached at the set temperature according to the mode. B. RPM (Temperature) adjustment: When you turn the jog shuttle for adjustment of RPM or temperature, the set value is change firstly and the current value goes after the set value. Then, the current value is reached to the set value, and it means that WiseTherm /WiseStir Hotplate Magnetic Stirrer series are feedback controlled by digital controller accurately. (Control resolution: 5 rpm for speed, 0.5 for temperature) C. Pause and Restart Function: If you click the jog shuttle during stirring operation in RPM mode, stirring is temporary stopped (Pause Status). If you click again the knob, the device is restarted the operation. D. Save the current set value: You could save the current RPM (temperature) in your operation by clicking the jog shuttle for one second. This value is saved in the device while it is turned off and you can reuse it without setting values. 4. Timer Mode A. You can use the internal digital timer to preserve your current operation status during the set time. After termination of the set time, the operation is automatically stopped. So you have to set up the operation modes (the requested RPM and temperature) before you set up the timer. B. Set the Timer: To set up the timer, you have to enter the Timer Mode by clicking the mode button, and then turning the jog shuttle to adjust timer. 9 Click (push and then release immediately) the jog shuttle after turning to set required value. When you enter the Timer Mode, you could see a time set before. You are able to use that value itself, or to modify by turning the jog-shuttle. C. Start and pause timer: Click the jog-shuttle to start the timer. During the operation of timer, the LCD shows the remained time. Click again to pause the timer. D. Restart overall operations: After termination of set time, the operation is automatically paused. And, you need to release the pause of each operation mode by pushing the jog shuttle if you want to restart overall timer operations. 5. Locking Mode After completion of set up the RPM, temperature and timer, you can set the Locking (Safe) Mode by clicking the mode button. In the Locking Mode, the LCD shows the current temperature and RPM in measuring value digit. In this mode, all inputs are disabled using the jog shuttle. If you want to release this mode, click the mode select button. 6. Temperature Offset (MS-20D n/a) Offset Function is addition or subtraction of indicated temperature. It is very convenient function to synchronize displayed temperature of the plate and sample with the measured value by the User. A. Press Mode Switch and Jog Shuttle simultaneously in the Heating Mode (Mode S/W + Jog S/W). B. In this status, it is changed into Offset Mode and the user can adjust the value by pushing the knob once, then the offset would be setup. C. After the setup, the temperature on LCD display indicates the compensated temperature. D. At this time, press the mode switch and jog shuttle simultaneously, then escape from Offset Mode. 7. Storage of the set value WiseTherm /WiseStir Digital Hotplate and Magnetic Stirrer have a Memory function to save each set value. The user can save the set values to be used frequently and does not have to set the same value every moment. A. Set the value of each mode (except Locking mode) using Jog Shuttle. 10 Press the knob over one second, then the set value is blinking on LCD three times and it means that the value has been saved. 8. 11 Safety Instructions 5 Do not modify any part of the machine - the mechanism part or electrical part. Modification made by non-technical person may cause a serious problem of the machine. Do not use flammable material. Flammable materials or Chemicals must not be used in order to avoid an explosion or a fire. The white plate could be raised up to 350 during heating, and touching this surface may cause a serious injury. If you need to touch it, you should have sufficient cooling time down to 70 on the LCD display before touching. The recommended power supply is AC V, 50/60Hz, Single phase. The machine must be standing on a stable, even surface that is as sleep-free as possible. Avoid allowing objects to push or strike the hotplate or stirring plate of the machine. You have to use Hotplate magnetic stirrer at indoor environment, to preserve temperature between 5 and 40. WiseStir Magnetic Stirrer, Hotplate Stirrer and WiseTherm Hotplate (Digital) 11 /30
12 The hotplate is made of ceramic-coated aluminum. Although the ceramic coating prevent the plate from erode by acid chemical, pay attention not to be stained with acid or basic material. Please be careful that liquid should not penetrate into the part of control panel or back plane. Please use the machine in clean environment for use with long lifetime. You must not wrap the plate in aluminum foil, which can be damage the machine critically because of overheating of the body. All circuits and electronic parts used for this product are DAIHAN s own technology, so please do not make it repaired by anyone who isn t our own staff or technician authorized by DAIHAN. 24 동작가이드 1. 전원동작 : 주전원스위치작동 ( 13) : 기본모드로시작. 2. 모드선택스위치 : 모드전환스위치 8 를이용하여아래와같은모드들로전 환가능 Stirring Mode (Mode S/W + Jog S/W) (Mode S/W) Heating Mode Temp. SS 200 (optional PT100 sensor) 혹은 SS 210 (Teflon coated optional PT100 sensor) 의사용여부에따라아래와같이두 가지의온도제어방법을지원합니다. (MS-20D n/a) PT100 센서를이용한샘플의실제온도를측정하여 digital feedback controller 에 의한온도제어를할경우 LCD 창에표현된현재온도수치는샘플의실제온도 수치입니다. PT100 센서를사용하지않을경우에는 hotplate 자체의온도측정값에의해제 어되고표현됩니다. 한편 SS 200 센서는연결하는것만으로자동적으로인식이 WiseStir Magnetic Stirrer, Hotplate Stirrer and WiseTherm Hotplate (Digital) 24 /30
25 되어동작합니다. 아래 < 표 1>, 는모드별 LCD 상에표시되는내용에대해정리한것입니다. 설정모드상위표시창하위표시창 RPM 모드 설정 rpm 현재 rpm Temp. 모드 설정온도 현재온도 Timer 모드 설정시간 잔여시간 온도보정입력모드 보정된현재온도 보정온도값 Locking 모드 현재온도 현재 rpm < 표 1> 모드에따른 LCD 표시 3. 교반속도설정및온도제어설정 Mode 전원을동작시킨후교반속도나온도제어설정모드를선택하면해당설정 LED는깜박거립니다. 그리고 LCD 상위표시창에는기존장비내에저장된설정된값이있었다면설정값이표시되고, 설정된값이없다면 0 으로표시됩니다. 하위표시창에는현재값들이표시되므로동작전에는 0 동작중에는현재의교반속도 (rpm) 나온도가표시됩니다. 설정값이 0 이아니면, 이것은누군가이전에값을저장해두었다는의미이며, 이저장값으로장비를동작시키려면조그셔틀스위치를살짝클릭해주면됩니다. 또한조그셔틀스위치를돌려저장값을조정한후조그셔틀을클릭하면조정된값으로장비가동작합니다. 설정값이 0이라면, 이것은이전에아무값도저장되어있지않았다는의미이며, 이상태에서는조그셔틀을돌려주면설정 rpm창의수치가증가하면서장비가설정 rpm으로동작하게됩니다. RPM 및온도조정 : 조그셔틀스위치를돌려주면먼저 LCD 상위표시창의수치가증가하고이수치에정확하게일치되도록장비의 rpm이나온도가디지털제어되어동작됩니다. 이후셋팅한값과창에측정된현재의값이표시되는데설정값과같은수치를나타내게되는것은정확하게 rpm이나 WiseStir Magnetic Stirrer, Hotplate Stirrer and WiseTherm Hotplate (Digital) 25 /30
26 온도가제어가되고있다는표시입니다. 일시정지와재시작 : 장비가교반동작모드에서교반동작을할때, 장비의조그셔틀을클릭해주면, 장비가일시정지모드로들어갑니다. 일시정지모드에서다시조그셔틀을클릭해주면다시동작모드로들어갑니다. 현재설정값저장 : 조그셔틀스위치를 1초동안누름으로써현재설정된 rpm 이나온도설정값이장비내부의메모리에저장됩니다. 이값은전원을껐다가다시켠다음에도계속장비에저장되어있어또다른조절없이편리하게이용하실수있습니다. 4. 타이머모드 타이머모드는원하는시간 ( 설정시간 ) 동안만동작을하게하고설정시간이후에는동작을멈추게하는기능을갖는모드입니다. 타이머모드가선택되면타이머 LED가깜박거리며 Stirring LED 나 Heating LED는동작중에는 ON, 동작하지않을때는 OFF 상태가됩니다. LCD 상위표시창에는기존장비내에저장된설정된값 ( 설정시간 ) 이있다면설정값이표시되고, 설정된값이없다면 0 이표시됩니다. 하위표시창에는현재타이머의잔여시간이표시되므로동작전에는설정시간이있는경우는설정시간이설정시간이없는경우에는 0 가표시됩니다. 동작중에는잔여시간이표시됩니다. 타이머설정 / 작동 : 타이머를설정하기위해서모드선택버튼을눌러타이머설정모드로들어갑니다. 조그셔틀을돌려원하는설정시간을맞춘후조그셔틀스위치를클릭해주면타이머가작동합니다. 이때하위 LCD 표시창에는잔여시간이표시되는데조그셔틀스위치를클릭하지전에는즉, 타이머동작전에는하위 LCD 표시창이깜박거리다가클릭후타이머가동작이되면서하위 LCD 표시창은깜박거림이멈추고, ON됩니다. 다른모드에서타이머모드에다시들어가면설정해놓은시간과현재잔여시간을볼수있습니다. 타이머일시정지 : 타이머를일시정지하려면타이머모드에들어가서조그셔틀스위치를클릭해주면, 현재동작중인타이머가일시정지합니다. 다시시작하려면역시조그셔틀스위치를한번클릭해줍니다. 27 장비의재시작 : 타임아웃후장비를다시작동시키려면교반동작모드에서조그셔틀스위치를한번클릭해줍니다. 설정시간저장 : 마찬가지로타이머모드에서조그셔틀스위치를 1초동안누르면현재설정시간이장비내부의메모리에저장됩니다. 이값은전원을내렸다가켠다음에도계속장비에저장되어있습니다. 5. Locking Mode RPM과타이머세팅을마친후, 모드선택버튼을클릭하여장비를 Locking 모드상태로설정할수있습니다. Locking 모드에서장비는현재측정 rpm과잔여시간을표시해주며, 모드선택버튼을제외한조그셔틀스위치로부터의어떠한입력도무시합니다. Locking 모드에서벗어나고자하면모드선택버튼을눌러주면됩니다. 6. 사용자온도보정기능 사용자에따라실험의기준으로사용하고있는온도계와본조절기에표시되 는온도계를일치 (Synchronize) 하여실험해야하는경우가있을수있습니다. 그러한경우편리하게사용하실수있도록본제품은측정되어표시되는온 도에보정값을주어일정값을감하거나더할수있는기능을제공합니다. 1) Heating 모드에서모드스위치를누른상태에서조그셔틀스위치를클릭합 니다 (Mode S/W +Jog S/W). 2) 조절기는온도보정입력모드로전환되며, 이상태에서조그셔틀스위치를 돌려원하는보정온도로맞춘후조그셔틀을클릭합니다. 28 3) 이후로현재온도에표시되는온도는그렇게입력된보정값을포함한온도로 표시됩니다. 메인모드로의복귀는모드버튼을클릭하면원래 Heating 모드로전환됩니다 7. 설정값의저장 본장비는각각의모드에서설정된값을장비의내부메모리에저장할수있 는기능을포함하고있습니다. 이는자주사용하는설정값을전원을 OFF 시키 더라도다시전원을 ON 시켰을때별도의설정없이편리하게장비를사용할 수있습니다. 각모드 ( 잠금모드를제외한모든모드 ) 에서조그셔틀스위치를이용하여원 하는설정값을설정합니다. 조그셔틀스위치를 1초이상클릭하면 LCD 우측상단의설정값이깜박거리면서현재설정값을저장합니다. 8. 전원끄기 안전을위해서모든사용을마친후장비의메인스위치를반드시꺼주시기바랍니다.
