[ 한겨레 ] 아이티 (IT) 거품이꺼지면서한때침체에빠졌던반도체산업이 10 여년만에최대호황기를맞고있다. 전문가들사이에선반도체사용처가과거개인용컴퓨터 (PC) 일변도에서모바일기기로다양해진데다마이크로소프트 (MS) 가 6 년만에새컴퓨터운영체계인 윈도비스타 를올연말께내놓을경우수요가폭발적으로늘어나는 슈퍼사이클 에접어들것이란전망이나오고있다. 시장전문조사기관들의전망도장밋빛이다. 세계반도체시장은매출기준으로 2002 년 1400 억달러를바닥으로찍고내년에 2800 억달러대로커질것으로예상된다. 2000 년대초아이티거품붕괴와피시수요의위축으로수렁에빠졌던반도체산업이활황을넘어 5 년만에몸집을갑절이나불리는제 2 의황금기를맞게되는셈이다. 호황세를떠받치는버팀목은메모리반도체의두축인디램과낸드플래시다. 주요사용처를피시에서모바일, 게임기등으로넓힌디램이품귀현상을빚자가트너는올해디램시장규모를애초예상치인 248 억달러에서 287 억달러로 16% 올려잡았다. 아이서플라이는올해디램시장이이보다훨씬커진 300 억달러를넘어설것으로내다봤다. 모바일기기에주로쓰이는낸드플래시도고용량화추세에힘입어황금기를구가할것이란전망이지배적이다. 조남용삼성전자반도체총괄부사장은 디램산업은컴퓨터운영체계가도스에서윈도로전환한 1995 년이래최대호황기를맞게될것 이라고내다봤다. 홍대선기자 hongds@hani.co.kr c 2010, BENESO All rights reserved 3
