A Wireless Tram is driven by torque, which is conveyed to a wheel through a mechanical gear from a traction motor and a mechanical gear has a lot of shortcomings including wear and damage due to mechanical friction. But unlike a mechanical gear, a magnetic gear doesn t have mechanical contact. This creates a very low noise and maintenance isn t required. This can improve efficiency by using a rear-earth permanent magnet with high energy density. Therefore, in this study, a design model of a magnetic gear was extracted by applying the existing gear ratio to the design specification of a traction motor for a Wireless Tram and characteristics of a pole number-based model were analyzed using the electromagnetic finite element method. Moreover, the biggest factor of torque and torque ripple was selected through sensitivity analysis and tendency analysis was carried out to reduce torque ripple. Keywords : Wireless Tram, Magnetic gear, Gear design for Tram 초록본논문은무가선트램용마그네틱기어설계및경향성분석을통한토크리플저감에관해연구하였다. 무가선트램은견인전동기로부터기계식기어를통해휠에회전력이전달되어기계적인마찰로인해마모, 파손등많은단점이있다. 하지만마그네틱기어는기계적인접촉이없어서아주적은소음, 진동과유지보수가필요없다. 그리고에너지밀도가높은희토류계영구자석을사용하여효율을높일수있다. 그러므로본논문에서는무가선트램용견인전동기의설계사양에기존기어비를적용하여마그네틱기어의설계모델을도출하였고, 극수에따른모델을전자장유한요소법을이용하여특성분석을수행하였다. 또한, 민감도분석을통해토크및토크리플에가장큰요인이되는인자를선정하였고, 경향성분석을통해토크리플을줄이는연구를수행하였다. 주요어 : 무가선트램, 마그네틱기어, 트램용기어설계 1. 서론 기계적인기어는 1차측과 2차측이서로맞물리면서기계적인접촉을통해동력을전달한다. 이것은마찰로인해마모, 기계적인파손이발생하고, 예방하기위해윤활제를사용된 교신저자 : 한양대학교공과대학전기공학과 (julee@hanyang.ac.kr) * 한양대학교공과대학전기공학과 ** 계명대학교공과대학전기에너지공학과 *** 한국교통대학교철도대학철도차량시스템공학과

2 다 [1]. 이러한단점을해결할방안으로영구자석의상호작용에의해동작하는마그네틱기어가자동차시스템, 풍력발전기, 저속및고속기기등과같은여러분야에서연구를진행하고있다. 마그네틱기어는물리적접촉이없어마찰에의한접촉경계면의마모및파손이없고, 윤활유가필요하지않으며유지보수가필요없다는장점을가진다. 또한높은에너지밀도는갖는희토류계영구자석사용으로효율이높다. 아울러물리적인접촉이없는마그네틱기어는매우적은소음과진동의특징을가지고있다 [2,3,4]. 본논문에서는무가선트램용견인전동기의설계사양및기어비에따른마그네틱기어의설계모델을도출하고, 극수에따른모델을전자장 FEM(Finite Elements Method) 을이용하여특성분석을수행하였다. 또한, 민감도분석과경향성분석을통해토크리플을줄이는연구를수행하였다. 2. 본론 2.1 무가선트램용견인전동기무가선트램용구동장치는회전력을발생시키는견인전동기와회전속도를낮추고회전력을높여주는기계식기어를통해휠로동력이전달된다. 이는기어비를통해감속되어힘이전달되는방식이다. 따라서 Table 1에서볼수있듯이무가선트램용견인전동기의설계사양을바탕으로기어비를통해마그네틱기어를설계하였다. Table 1 Design specification of traction motor for Wireless Tram Rated speed Rated torque Max speed Max torque Power 1457rpm 295Nm 4100rpm 105Nm 45kW 2.2 마그네틱기어설계및특성분석 Fig. 1은마그네틱기어의구조를나타낸다. 내측의고속회전자와철심, 외측의저속회전자로구성되어있다. 내측과외측사이의철심양쪽은공극으로구성되어있으며비접촉방식이다. 내측과외측에부착된영구자석은에너지밀도가높은네오디움영구자석을적용하였다. 내측과외측사이의철심의개수는식 (1) 로나타낼수있다. N P P (1) s in out Ns 는철심의개수, Pin 과 Pout 은각각내측과외측의영구자석극쌍수를나타낸다. 기어 비는내측과외측영구자석의극쌍수에따라식 (2) 로계산할수가있다. 또한기어비로부터내측과외측회전자의회전속도는식 (3) 의관계를갖는다 [4]. P in Gr (2) Pout

3 out P in in G r in (3) Pout Fig. 1 Magnetic gear for Wireless Tram(6p 36p) Table 2는무가선트램용마그네틱기어의주요사양을보여준다. 기어비는정확한극수설계를위해기계식기어비 6.29가아닌 6으로설정하였고, 기어비를적용하여극수에따라 3개모델을설계하였다. 따라서기어비를적용하여식을통해계산한값이 Table 2에서보여준다. (a) 는자속밀도벡터도를보여주며, (b) 는토크파형을보여준다. 무가선트램의휠로전달되는 Outer torque는약 Nm으로 Table 2 의요구사양에만족하는것을볼수가있다. Fig. 3은극수별마그네틱기어의특성을알아보기위해설계된모델이다. 내측극수기준으로 8극과 10극을기어비를적용하여설계하였으며, 각모델에대한토크파형은 Fig. 4에서보여준다. 8극, 10극또한 Table 2의요구사양에만족하는결과를볼수가있다.

FEM을통한민감도분석의결과는내측과외측영구자석사이에있는철심의변화에따라토크파형에가장큰민감도를보였다. 철심의형상에비해다른설계변수는너무작은민감도를보였기때문에민감도분석결과값은생략하였고, 철심에형상에대해자세히경향성분석을통해토크리플을줄이는연구을수행하였다.

5 Fig. 5 The main factor for sensitivity analysis 2.4 경향성분석마그네틱기어는내측과외측사이에있는철심을통해자계가변조되고토크리플에큰영향을미치는것을민감도분석을통해알수있었다. 토크리플은진동및소음의원인이되며, 특히휠에직접토크를전달하는마그네틱기어에는토크리플저감이크게중요하다. 따라서토크리플을줄이는방법으로주요인자를 Fig. 6와같이철심의각도와두께로설정하였다. Table 3은마그네틱기어의주요인자설계변수값을보여준다. 철심각도는기어비에따라철심의개수가다르기때문에극수별로다르며철심두께는동일하게설정하였다. 따라서 2개의인자를이용하여경향성분석을통해요구토크는만족하고토크리플을줄이는연구를수행하였다. Fig. 8은 8p 48p의주요인자에따른토크리플을보여주며, 철심각도 8.3, 두께 14mm에서토크리플이가장작다. 또한, 10p 60p은 Fig. 9에보듯이철심각도 6.2, 두께 14mm에서토크리플이가장적은경향성을보이며, 극수별각모델마다토크리플이최소가되는주요인자설계값은 Table 4에서볼수가있다.

Table 4의토크리플최소주요인자설계값에대해 FEM을통한해석결과이며, Fig. 2, Fig. 4와비교해보면토크리플이현저히줄어든토크파형을확인할수가있다. 또한, 극수별로 6p 36p는약 Nm, 8p 48p는약 Nm, 10p 60p는약 Nm으로 Table 2의요구토크에만족하는것을볼수가있다. 따라서, 토크파형에큰영향을미치는주요인자, 철심각도, 철심두께를주요인자로설정하고, 경향성분석을수행한결과로본논문의타당성을입증하였다.

7 (a) 6p 36p model (b) 8p 48p model (c) 10p 60p model Fig. 10 Model reduced torque ripple 3. 결론본논문은무가선트램용마그네틱기어설계및경향성분석을통한토크리플저감에관한연구논문이다. 현재적용되어있는무가선트램용견인전동기의설계사양에기존기어비를적용하여마그네틱기어의요구사양을도출하였다. 도출된요구사양에적합한극수에따른모델을설계하였고, FEM 을이용하여전자계특성분석을수행하였다. 또한, 민감도분석을통해토크파형에큰영향을미치는주요인자를설정하고, 경향성분석을통해토크리플을저감시키는연구를수행하였다. 결론적으로극수별모델모두토크리플을줄일수있었고, 주요인자의경향성분석을통해본논문의타당성을입증하였다. 향후, 고온에취약한네오디움영구자석의감자해석을통해불가역감자를예측할것이고, 상세설계를통해출력밀도를향상시키는연구를수행할것이다. 참고문헌 [1] Chan-Ho kim, Yong-Jae Kim (2015) Power Density Characteristics Analysis and Design of Magnetic Gear according to Speed for Drive Train of 10MW Offshore Wind Turbine, The Transactions of the Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers, Vol. 64, No. 12, pp [2] L.
