The instructions described below have been designed to provide the necessary information for the successful operation, daily maintenance and safety for the use of this device. 6 2 Safety information Installation and connection Warning - The adapter should be disconnected from charger before connect the power cable to prevent an electric shock. - Keep away from sources of ignition to avoid fire or explosion. - Protect the handpiece, charger, and battery from any liquid to avoid electric shock or functional error. - Place the charger on a flat and stable surface. Do not drop handpiece and charger to avoid internal defect that may cause overheating or fire. - Do not place the electric cord near a as burner or sources of heat. If the cord catch on fire, replace to new one to avoid short-circuit. Caution - Do not use or leave the unit in areas of high temperature or exposed to direct sunlight. Internal circuit may cause overheat or fire. - Securely connect the power plug to the outlet with dust-free. - Use this device in well ventilated areas. Overheating may cause fire. - Do not touch the terminal areas of charger or battery with fingers or conductive objects such as metal wire or safety-pin. 7 2 Safety information Operation Warning - Do not plug the power cord with wet hands. This may result in an electric shock. - In case of fluid leak from battery or partial discoloration / deformation of the handpiece, immediately stop use. - Place the battery on correct direction when charging. Wrong directed placing may cause malfunction, explosion, or fire. - In case partial discoloration of the charger, immediately disconnected the power plug and repair the charger. - In case battery fluid contacts the eye, immediately flush with copious amount of clean water and get medical attention. - Do not use the device on patients with a history of cataract, retinal damage or allergic reaction to light. - Do not use this device on a person with a pacemaker as it may cause malfunction of pacemaker. - Avoid exposing the light on intraoral soft tissue as it may affect the soft tissue. - Be careful when use the soft lens on the LED part to avoid detach on use. And please use disposable cover on use. - Do not put the battery on the charger upside down. This may cause an explosion or fire. - Use disposable cover when use the device for patient to avoid cross-inpection. Caution - Disconnect the power cord by grasping the power plug. This may cause injuries or burns. - Avoid damage or use of unnecessary force on the power cord. This may cause an electric shock or fire. - Should battery fluid contact the skin or clothes, immediately wash it off with copious amount water to avoid skin damage. - Take the battery out of from handpiece, if it won't use for more than one week. - Do not use this product for any purposes other than dental use. 07

8 2 Safety information Maintenance Warning - Use only the battery supplied to avoid fluid leak or explosion. - Never disassemble or overhaul the product. Unusual performance may cause inuires, electric shock, or fire. - Ensure that charger and battery are always separated from the handpiece, and disconnect adapter cable from electric source prior to cleaning. Caution - If the OLED screen malfunctions, remove the battery from the handpiece and reinsert it. - Careful to avoid missing accessories like soft lens or etc. - User must be in charge of operation, maintenance and check. 08 Master of Dental Light

11 5 Installation Refer to the information supplied on safety precautions during installation and connection. 1. Connection between adapter and charger Securely insert the connector of the adapter into the inlet at the back of the charger The adapter is able to use with a power outlet of 100V ~ 240V When electric power is connected, red and blue light is flashed instantly. It shown the charger works normally. Caution Use only supplied adapter. If the adapter is not supplied one, it may make charger malfunction 2. Inserting head Connect the head with handpiece. Be careful the direction, and do not force much when connect the head Place the head to handpice as upper direction. Spin the head for arrow direction. Mount Anti-glare shield as upper picture. Note The head should be placed upside down to connect it. Reference Other heads are same to attach with the body. 11

12 5 Installation 3. Inserting battery Carefully insert the battery into the handpiece directed by the arrow. Avoid forcing the battery. 4. Charging Insert the handpiece into the vertical slot at the front of the charger. The charger light at the front of the charger will appear. - Red light on: Charging in progress. - Blue light on: Charging process is complete. If the remaining battery is extremely low, red light may flickers while recharging, which is not a malfunction. Note It will take approximately 3~4 hours before the battery will be fully charged. 5. Change the handpiece angle Caution Should use cramp when change the angle. If don t the durability will be weaker. 12 Master of Dental Light

13 5 Installation 6. Trans head installation (Option) Before use trans head, cover disposable cover, and mount trans tip on the trans head. 1 2 Example how to use. 7. WA Kit installation (Option) <Installation> 1 2 Mount silicon cover on the WA head. Mount silicon cover on the WA head. Mount the WA grip to unit-chair, and tighten up a bolt by screwdriver tightly. <WA grip> 13

14 5 Installation <WA Arm> Mount WA arm to WA grip hole, and tighten up the nut tightly. (Put the washer between WA Arm and WA grip, WA grip and nut) <Washer> <Nut> <How to use WA arm> <Cramp> adjustable angle. <Example> Adjustable right & left Adjustable length <Rubber holder> Rotatable - Mount the device on the robber holder. - WA arm is adjustable & left, angle, and length. - Fit the angle, and tighten the WA arm using by cramp. Reference - There are Ortho mode with WA Head. Refer 06. How to use / 3.1 Ortho mode Caution - Read and check contents and manual before installation. - Read and reference this manual. Careless on installation or of injury. - Dropping this unit would lead to injury or device malfunction. - Tighten kinds of bolt or nut surely to avoid accident. - Check the bolt or nut whenever using to avoid accident. - Manufacturer doesn't have any liability cause from misuse or user-careless. 14 Master of Dental Light

Time button - Time setting which set for each mode. - On Power mode it rotate Ortho and Power mode 3. Mode button - Mode selection (High Turbo Soft Pulse Low rotated) 4. Hot key - Go to Power mode with short click - Go to Timer mode with long click 1. FL head & Trans head 1) Operation button - Power on /off - Light irradiation start / stop 2) Time button: Intensity decrease 3) Mode button: Intensity decrease 4) Hot key: Go to timer mode with long click. 2. WA head 1) Operation button - Power on / off - Light irradiation start / stop. 2) Time button: Set the time. (10, 15, 20, 25, 30 Minutes rotated.) 3) Mode button: Click and hold for 3 seconds, it turn to Ortho mode. 4) Hot key: Go to timer mode with long click. 2. Activating handpiece - Insert battery and click operation button. Then OLED screen will turn on with beep sound. Intro display Last selected mode 15

16 6 How to use - OLED screen Show the light irradiation level by visually. 2 Show selected mode. 3 Show set time. 4 Show residual time. 5 Show residual battery electric capacity. Reference When turn on the device, the mode and time are set for last selected one when turn off. 3. Start of exposure Press operation button to start exposure with the selected mode. Reference Press any button if you wish to end the irradiation process. 4. Battery indicator This icon indicates the Power remaining of battery. Recharge or replace the battery pack when "LOW BATTERY" sign appears on the display screen, and turn off the device. 16 Master of Dental Light

17 6 How to use 5. Selection of curing mode - Six curing programs are available in this device. Output mw/cm2 Power mode (3 Sec.) Turbo mode (5, 10 Sec.) High mode (10, 20 Sec.) SoftStart mode (20 Sec. fixed) Low mode (20, 30 Sec.) Time / Sec. Output mw/cm2 2 Sec 1 Sec Ortho mode (2 Sec. x 5 times) 0.1 Sec 0.05 Sec Pulse mode (20, 30 Sec.) Time / Sec. Warning In Power mode, do not expose soft tissue for more than 5 seconds. Power mode exposure time set is fixed for 3 seconds. 17

18 6 How to use 6. Replace the soft lens In case of soft lens get damage or contamination on use, user can replace the soft lens Take off the soft lens with some tool. Put the soft lens on the head. Check the hook of soft lens and hole of head. Caution Be careful when take off the soft lens to avoid damage for the case. To prevent decrease light intensity, be careful from contamination. 7. Reset In case the device seems work abnormally, try to device reset. To reset the device, take off the battery. And re-insert the battery after 5 seconds. 8. Auto display off & Auto power off - In case of no button click for 30 seconds, the display will be turn off to save electric power. To turn on the display, shake the device. - In case the device doesn't operated for 1 hour. The device will power off. To turn on, click operation button. Reference Auto display off or power off function doesn't work during irradiation. 18 Master of Dental Light

19 6 How to use 9. Timer mode This device has timer function. Long click hot key. Then device is turn to timer mode. 1) Operation button - Start timer 2) Time button - Decrease the figure (Min: - 1 minute, Sec seconds) 3) Mode button - Increase the figure (Min: +1 minute, Sec. +10 seconds) 4. Hot key 4) Hot key - Sort click: Select figure (Min. 10 -> Min. 1 -> Sec. -> Min. 10 / rotation) - Long click: Get out to previous mode. Reference Selected figure is shown by blue letter. Minimum setting time is 10 seconds, and maximum setting time is 59 minutes 50 seconds. 1. Set the time with buttons. 2. Click operation button, then the time is reduced till 00:00 from set time. Reference - Press any button if you wish to end the progress. - Beep sound make per every 10 seconds. 3. In case the residual time is reach 00:00. device makes beep sound for 1 minute. Click any button beep sound is stop and turn to timer with set time. 4. To get out the timer mode, long click the hot key. 19

20 6 How to use 10. Option heads 1. FL head 1) When connect FL head OLED screen is show FL mode standby. 2) Click operation button, the light is irradiated. Irradiate time is 1 minute. To stop the irradiation, click any button. 2. Trans head 1) When connect Trans head OLED screen show Trans mode standby. 2) Click operation button, the light is irradiated. Irradiate time is 1 minute. To stop the irradiation, click any button. 20 Master of Dental Light

21 6 How to use 3. WA head 3.1 Ortho mode 1) When connect WAhead OLED screen show Ortho mode standby. 1 Setting time & Residual time 1 2) Set the time with time button. And click operation button for irradiation. 3.2 WA mode Click and hold mode button for 3 seconds, then it turn to WA mode. mode button 1 2 1) When connect WAhead OLED screen show WA mode standby. 1 Setting time 2 Residual time 2) Set the time with time button. And click operation button for irradiation. 21

22 7 Maintenance Cleaning and disinfection - Clean the device gently with clean, soft, lint-free cloth. - Avoid using solvents which contain ethanol or acetone. - Do not use sharp or pointed tools to clean as they may damage or scratch the plastic case. - Do not spill any liquid into the device. It might make device malfunction. - Take off the battery when the device cleaning to avoid electric shock. Maintenance and replacement of the battery - Exposure to high room temperature may shorten the battery life and affect device performance. Use the device in normal temperature. - It is recommended for rechargeable battery to be charged immediately before use to maximize efficiency. - Remove the battery from the handpiece, if not being used for a week. - If the running time declines with a full-charged battery, replace the battery before use. 22 Master of Dental Light

23 8 Trouble shooting If the device is not operating normally, please refer to the following points. Problem Cause and solution Button doesn t work If the buttons are pressed with excess force, it will not work. In such case, press the button gently. Display screen does not work If the battery is completely discharged or connected incorrectly, display will not appear. Recharge the battery or reconnect the battery to reset the device. Power off while in operation If the operation button is pressed for a moment, power will be turned off. Press operation button again. Check the battery connection. If the battery is completely discharged, device can be turned off. Recharge the battery. Not able to charge If the power cord or etc. is not correctly connected, the battery can not be charged. If the battery or handpiece is not properly placed on the charger, the battery can not be charged. If the battery life is finished, it could not be charged. Replace the battery. Light intensity is poor If there is contamination on the soft lens, the light intensity could be poor. Clean or replace the soft lens. User could think the light intensity is poor even the device is normal. Check the material is polymerized well or not. Optional head doesn't recognized In case of wrong connection, the device can not recognize the head. Take off the head and reconnect it. Device works abnormally In case the device works abnormal condition, takes off the battery and reinsert it after 5 seconds for device reset. * If the trouble is not fixed after following solution, please contact your local dealer or manufacturer. 23

36 5 설치 방법 제품의 안전한 설치를 위하여 다음을 참조하여 주십시오. 1. 어댑터와 충전기 연결 어댑터와 전원케이블을 연결 후, 전원케이블을 전원콘센트에 확실하게 연결하고, 어댑터 쪽의 커넥터를 충전기 뒤 쪽에 연결해주십시오. 어댑터는 100V에서 240V전압까지 사용하실 수 있습니다. 전원이 들어오는 경우 붉은빛과 푸른빛이 깜박입니다. 이는 충전기가 정상적으로 작동하고 있다는 표시입니다. 주의 제공되는 어댑터만을 사용하여주시기 바랍니다. 만약 제공되는 어댑터를 사용하지 않는 경우 충전기가 고장 날 수 있습니다. 2. 헤드 연결 헤드를 핸드피스와 연결하십시오. 방향에 주의하시고, 연결 시, 힘을 너무 많이 주지 마십시오 그림과 같이 헤드를 핸드피스에 끼워주십시오. 헤드를 화살표 방향으로 돌려주십시오. 그림과 같이 안티글래어실드를 장착하십시오. 노트 헤드 연결 시, 반대방향으로 해놓고 연결하여야 합니다. 참조 다른 헤드들도 같은 방식으로 연결합니다. 37

42 6 사용방법 6. 소프트 렌즈 교체 사용 중, 소프트 렌즈가 파손되거나 오염되었을 경우, 사용자가 소프트 렌즈를 교체할 수 있습니다. 소프트 렌즈를 기구 등을 이용하여 빼십시오 소프트 렌즈를 헤드에 넣어주십시오. 넣으실 때, 소프트 렌즈의 후크가 헤드의 구멍과 잘 결합이 되어있는지 확인 하십시오. 주의 소프트 렌즈를 뺄 때, 헤드케이스가 손상되지 않도록 주의하십시오. 광조사의 출력이 약해지는 것을 방지하기 위해 소프트 렌즈의 오염에 대해서 주의하십시오. 7. 리셋 제품이 정상적으로 작동하지 않는 경우, 제품 리셋을 하십시오. 제품의 리셋은 배터리를 분리하고 5초 뒤에 다시 배터리를 연결하는 것입니다. 8. 자동화면꺼짐 & 자동 전원꺼짐 - 제품의 버튼을 30초 동안 누르지 않는 경우에는 전력소모를 줄이기 위해 제품의 화면이 자동적으로 꺼집니다. 화면을 다시 켜기 위해서는 제품을 흔들어 주십시오. - 제품을 1시간 동안 조작하지 않는 경우, 제품의 전원이 꺼집니다. 다시 켜기 위해서는 조사버튼을 누르십시오. 참조 광조사가 이루어지고 있는 동안에는 제품의 자동화면꺼짐이나 자동전원꺼짐 기능이 적용되지 않습니다. 43

Trans헤드 1) Trans헤드가 연결되면 OLED화면에 Trans모드로 표시가 되고 대기합니다. 2) 조사버튼을 누르게 되면 광조사가 시작됩니다. 1분 동안 조사가 되며, 버튼을 누르면 중지됩니다. 7 유지보수 청소 및 멸균 - 제품을 청소할 경우 부드러운 천을 이용하여 조심스럽게 청소하여 주십시오. - 에탄올이나 아세톤 등의 포함된 용매는 청소 시, 사용하지 말아주십시오. - 제품의 손상을 방지하기 위해 날카로운 도구를 사용하지 마십시오. - 제품에 액체가 들어가지 않게 주의해주십시오. 제품고장을 일으킬 수 있습니다. - 제품 청소 시, 감전을 방지하기 위해 배터리는 분리하고 청소하여 주십시오. 배터리의 관리 및 교환 - 높은 실내온도는 배터리의 수명과 제품의 성능에 영향을 줄 수 있습니다. 상온에서 사용하십시오. - 배터리는 사용 전에 충전을 하고 사용하는 것을 권장합니다. - 제품을 일주일 이상 사용하지 않는 경우에는 배터리와 핸드피스를 분리하여 보관하여 주십시오. - 완충된 배터리의 사용횟수가 줄어들게 되면 배터리를 교환하여 주십시오. 45

45 8 문제해결 만약 제품이 정상적으로 동작하지 않을 경우 다음을 참조하여 주십시오. 문제 원인 및 해결 버튼이 동작하지 않는 경우 버튼에 강한 힘 등에 눌려서 동작하지 않을 수 있습니다. 버튼을 부드럽게 눌러서 사용하여 주십시오. 화면이 표시되지 않는 경우 배터리가 완전 방전이 된 경우 제품이 동작하지 않을 수 있습니다. 배터리를 충전시키고 사용하여 주십시오. 동작 중 꺼짐 조사버튼을 계속 누르고 있으면 전원종료가 됩니다. 조사버튼을 다시 눌러 주십시오. 배터리의 결합상태를 확인 해주십시오. 배터리가 완전 방전이 된 경우 제품이 동작 중 꺼질 수 있습니다. 배터리를 충전시키고 사용하여 주십시오. 충전이 안됨 전원코드 등이 제대로 꽂혀있지 않은 경우, 충전이 되지 않습니다. 코드 등을 다시 확인하여 주십시오. 배터리나 충전기의 전원단자에 이물질이 있는지 확인하여 주십시오. 광조사량이 떨어지는 경우 소프트 렌즈가 지저분하거나 렌즈에 이물질, 혹은 흠집으로 인해 광량이 떨어질 수 있습니다. 청소를 해주시거나 새 것으로 교환하여 주십시오. 제품이 정상이라도 사용자가 제품의 광조사량이 낮다고 느낄 수 있습니다. 재료를 이용하여 중합이 잘 되는지 확인 해보십시오. 옵션헤드가 인식이 안되는 경우 잘못된 연결 시, 제품에서 헤당 헤드를 인식하지 못할 수 있습니다. 분리 후, 다시 연결 해주십시오. 제품이 정상적으로 동작하지 않는 경우 제품이 비정상적으로 작동을 하는 경우, 리셋을 위해 배터리를 분리한 후, 5초 후에 다시 결합하여 주십시오. * 상기의 조치에도 문제가 해결되지 않는 경우에는 구입처나 (주)굿닥터스로 연락을 주시기 바랍니다. 46 Master of Dental Light
