2. SFETY 2.1. Safety and responsibility This Somfy product must be installed by a professional motorisation and home automation installer, for whom these instructions are intended. efore installation, check that this product is compatible with the associated equipment and accessories. These instructions describe how to install, commission and use this product. Moreover, the installer must comply with current standards and legislation in the country in which the product is being installed, and inform his customers of the operating and maintenance conditions for the product. failure to comply with the instructions given herein will invalidate the warranty, and Somfy refuses to accept liability. In addition to the safety instructions described in this guide, be sure to also observe the instructions set out in the attached document "Safety instructions to follow and keep". 1) Switch off the mains supply of the shade before performing any service operation in the vicinity. 1 OFF 2 To avoid damaging the product: 2) Never immerse it in liquid! 3. INSTLLTION 3.1. Motor preparation 1) Fit the crown (a) and drive wheel (b) to the motor. 2) Measure the length (L) between the end of the drive wheel and the head end. 1 a b 2 3.2. Tube preparation 1) ut the tube to the required length. 2) Deburr the tube and remove the debris. 3) For smooth roller tubes, cut a notch with the following measurements: e = 4 mm / 0.16 In h = 28 mm / 1.1 In 1 2 Ø > 47 3 e h 3.3. Motor/tube assembly 1) Slide the motor into the tube. For smooth roller tubes, position the notch previously cut on the crown. 2) Fix the tube to the drive whell with 4 self-tapping screws with a diameter of 5 mm or 4 steel pop rivets with a diameter of 4.8 mm located at L - 15 mm ± 3 mm. Warning: The screws or pop rivets must only be attached to the drive wheel and not to the motor. 1 2 EN 3.4. Mounting the motorized tube on the brackets If necessary, screw the bracket interface on the motor head. 1) Mount the motorized tube on the end bracket (c). 2) Mount the motorized tube on the motor bracket (d). If necessary adjust the Up position, using the UP or DOWN buttons. 2) Press the MY and DOWN buttons simultaneously and release them once the shade begins to move. The up limit is memorized. 3) Press the MY button when it reaches the desired Down position. If necessary adjust the down position, using the UP or DOWN buttons. 4) Press the MY and UP buttons simultaneously and release them when the shade begins to move. The Down limit is memorized. Operating with a Somfy sun sensor To activate this function, you need a Telis Soliris transmitter. y default, the Sun function is not active. 1) To activate the Sun function, press the SELET button on the Telis Soliris transmitter until the shade jogs. 2) To disactivate the Sun function, press the SELET button on the Telis Soliris transmitter until the shade jogs. off on 1 2 off off on on OK EN When the intensity of the daylight exceeds the threshold set by the Sunis sensor RTS, an order is sent to the shade after 2 min. The shade goes to the MY position or to its down limit if no MY position has been memorised. When the intensity of the daylight falls below the threshold set by the Sunis sensor RTS, the shade goes to its Up limit after a delay of 15 to 30 minutes. 6.2.2. Operating with a Somfy wind sensor Reaction of the screen to the wind rising. When the wind rises, the screen will start to move up to the upper end limit. It is impossible to prevent the screen from closing, or to lower it while the wind is still blowing. Reaction of the screen to the wind dropping. When the wind has dropped, a manual down order may be issued via the RTS control point after 30 seconds. However, all automated systems will remain locked for 11 mins. We suggest not to pair a wind sensor to the motor when used to motorize interior window coverings. Modifying the motor rotation direction Move the shade away from the end limits. 1) Press the UP and DOWN buttons simultaneously until the shade jogs. 2) Press the MY button until the shade jogs to reverse the rotation direction. 3) Press the UP button to check the new rotation direction. The motor rotation direction is reversed. 1 2 3 7.4. Replacement of a lost remote control This reset deletes all transmitters programmed, but end-limits, intermediate position and sensors are retained. 7.6. dding/deleting RTS sensors Find an RTS transmitter programmed in the motor. Press and hold the programmed RTS transmitter () PROG button until the shade jogs: the motor is in programming mode. or delete this sensor: the shade jogs and the RTS sensor is programmed or deleted from the motor. + - 7.7. Erase the memory of the motor This reset deletes all RTS transmitters,rts sensors, end-limits and intermediate position programmed.
