Young Concert Artists is an artist management in New York City, for soloists between the ages of 16 and 26 who want to begin professional performing careers. YCA presents Winners in important debut recitals in New York and Washington DC at the Kennedy Center, and in debut concerto appearances. YCA promotes careers and arranges concerts primarily in the United States. The Young Concert Artists Auditions Young Concert Artists ( YCA ) chooses artists for its roster, through annual Young Concert Artists International Auditions - which are not a competition. Artists compete against a standard of excellence on a wide range of instruments, and any instrument or number of First Prize Winners can be selected by the jury of distinguished musicians based on virtuosity, artistic excellence, originality and the potential for an important career. In 2014 the first two rounds will be held in Seoul, Korea, Paris, France and New York city, USA. First Prize Winners in Seoul will be awarded round-trip air tickets to New York and private housing while they compete in the Final two rounds of the Young Concert Artists International Auditions in New York. YCA contracts concert engagements with professional fees, makes travel arrangements, housing, provides educational outreach training and experience and does everything possible to launch an artist s career at no cost to the artists. The concerts give you the chance to perform recitals and concertos with orchestra, to play new repertoire, and to become comfortable with the demands of a performing career. YCA offers personal career guidance, advice on repertoire, working with conductors, composers, presenters and donors at no cost to the artists.

As a non-profit organization, YCA s mission is to launch the careers of exceptional but unknown young artists by providing opportunities at no cost to the artists. Commercial managements derive income from concert fees, and therefore prefer to work for well-known artists; they therefore have limited interest in unknown young artists who do not have experience. YCA arranges for the appropriate visa for an artist to enter the U.S. and play the concerts contracted. The visa-related fees are paid by the artist. Work visas are valid for the period during which contracted performances take place. For most artists living outside the U.S., this means that YCA will arrange a tour with performances over two or three weeks - usually one or two tours each year. If a foreign artist wishes to live in the U.S., they should consider enrolling in a music school. YCA can assist with identifying appropriate schools and help with the application process. Winners of the Seoul Auditions receive a free plane ticket to come to New York in November for the International Auditions Semi-Finals, and free housing with a host family while in New York.
