International Applicants who meet requirements1) or 2) before or upon university enrollment are eligible to apply. However, unusual cases and an applicant s individual circumstances will be given consideration by the admissions committee. A. Undergraduate Freshman Applicants 1) Students who will have graduated high school prior to university enrollment and whose parents are both foreign nationals 2) Students of Korean origin who have received their entire primary and secondary (elementary, junior high and high school) education outside of Korea. B. Undergraduate Transfer Applicants 1) Students whose parents are both foreign nationals and who have completed at least two years of a degree program at a four-year university (or another Bachelor s degree program). 2) Students of Korean origin who have received their entire elementary, middle school, high school, and at least two years of university education at a four-year university (or another Bachelor's degree program) outside of Korea. Students must have completed at least 50% of their previous program s credits to qualify as a transfer student. C. Master s Program Applicants 1) Students whose parents are both foreign nationals and who hold a Bachelor s degree, or who are considered by the admission committee to have an acceptable intellectual competence at the level of someone holding an equivalent or higher degree 2) Students of Korean origin who have received their entire elementary, junior high, high school, and undergraduate education outside of Korea at an equivalent level institution. D. Doctoral Program Applicants 1) Students whose parents are both foreign nationals and who hold a Master s 2

Conditional admission may be permitted, for students who have not yet achieved a qualifying test score, as long as they complete Language Courses at the SEOULTECH Language Center and receive TOPIK Level 3 or above. Majoring in Creative writing requires TOPIK Level 6. 4. Submitting Your Application A. Application 1) Application is available at (http://admission.seoultech.ac.kr). 2) The deadline for Online applications is 17:00 KST(Korean Standard Time), November 30, 2012. Applications are only processed after application fees are paid in full. 3) Applicants whose forms and supporting documents are incomplete or unsatisfactory will be disqualified from the admissions process. B. Submission of Documents 1) Please arrange the application materials in the order listed below. 3
Official certificates (transcripts, diplomas, etc) issued by schools abroad should be verified via Apostille agent or certified either by the Korean Embassy or the foreign government of the country. Original documents should be submitted. Should they be unavailable, however, copies must be authorized by the originating institution before they are submitted. Documents that are not in Korean or English must be accompanied by a notarized Korean translation. Please submit the original document as well. 2) Send your application packet via post or visit in person by November 30, 2012, along with the required documents to the following address. Whether documents have arrived or not can be checked via e-mail. An enclosed letter of recommendation in the packet is permissible. Important Notes for All Applicants Important Notes about APOSTILLE Requirements For newly admitted students Since July 14, 2007, the Republic of Korea has been part of the 1961 Hague Convention establishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents. The Convention provides for the simplified certification or public (including notarized) documents to be used in countries that have joined the convention. The Apostille ensures that public documents issued in one signatory country will be recognized as valid in another signatory country. 1) SeoulTech does not generally acknowledge international schools located in Korea as foreign schools. 2) All documents should be in English or Korean. Documents in another language should be accompanied by a notarized English or Korean translation. 3) Should original documents be unavailable, copies must be authorized by the originating institution before they are submitted. 4) A letter of recommendation must be sealed in an envelope signed on the rear flap by the recommender. 5) Students whose graduations were pending at other institutions during the time of application should submit their Graduation Certificates and the Certificates of their degrees to their departments within 15 days after their enrollment at SeoulTech.
