A design of effective fire safety facilities in long railway tunnel - Case study in Daegwallyeong railway tunnel (L=21,755m) There is very little probability that a train fire accident is occurred in tunnel, but In case of a fire in tunnel, There is very heavy probability that train fire accident spreads the large accidents. especially, In case of a fire accident about long railway tunnel, risk is increased because movable distance of passengers is lengthen. So, MLTM (Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs) published Rules about the Safety Standard of Railroad and The Detailed Safety Standard of Railroad. Accoriding to those, installation of effective fire safety facilities was presented. Therefore, This paper introduces the economic fire safety facilities plan which are satisfied with the newest edition of rule and standard about the safety.
