Abstract Due to the large-scale TV display, the convergence of broadcasting and broadband, and the advancement of signal compression and transmission technology, terrestrial digital broadcasting has evolved into UHD broadcasting capable of providing simultaneous broadcasting of fixed UHD and mobile HD. The Korean standard for terrestrial UHDTV broadcasting is based on ATSC 3.0, the broadcasting standard of North America. The terrestrial UHDTV broadcasting standard chose that as a new AV codec standard, HEVC video codec which can compress with higher efficiency compared to AVC, and MPEG-H 3D audio codec for realistic audio. Also, DASH and MMT are adopted as transmission format instead of MPEG-2 TS to support broadband as well as broadcasting network, and in order to provide 4K UHD/mobile HD service simultaneously ROUTE multiplexing technology is applied. In this paper, we propose an audio/video encoder, which is required to provide HDR/WCG supported high quality video service, 10.2 channel/4 object supporting stereo sound service, fixed UHD and mobile HD simultaneous broadcasting service based on ATSC3.0, also we implemented the ATSC 3.0 LDM system for ROUTE/DASH packager, multiplexing system and physical layer transmission/reception, and verified the service ability by applying it to real time broadcast environment. HEVC 부호화기(Encoder) : HEVC 부호화기는 병렬 부 호화 처리를 위해 VCA 카드를 장착한 1U 서버 2대로 구성되며 4K YUV 420 데이터를 입력 받아 이를 HEVC 슬라이스 병렬 부호화 처리하고 그 결과를 MPEG-2 TS로 생성하여 UDP 프로토콜을 이용하여 ROUTE/DASH 패키저로 출력한다.

ROUTE/DASH 패키저(Packager) : ROUTE/DASH 패 키저는 Intel I7 프로세서 기반의 시스템으로 구성되며 부호화 된 AV MPEG-2 TS를 UDP 패킷으로 각각 입력 받아 DASH 세그먼트로 실시간 변환하고, 전송을 위해 ROUTE 패킷타이징 하여 이를 ROUTE MUX로 UDP 프로토콜을 이용하여 출력한다. ROUTE MUX : ROUTE MUX는 Intel I7 프로세서 기 반의 시스템으로 구성되며 UHD ROUTE 패킷을 입력 받아 미리 저장된 HD DASH 콘텐츠와 ROUTE 패킷으 로 다중화 하여 ATSC 3.0 송신기로 UDP 프로토콜을 이용하여 출력한다. ATSC 3.0 송신기(Modulator) : ATSC 3.0 송신기는 ROUTE MUX로부터 다중화 된 UHD/HD ROUTE 패 킷을 입력 받아 ATSC 3.0 물리계층 규격에 맞춰 RF 신 호로 출력한다. ATSC 3.0 송신기는 각 콘텐츠에 대하여 독립적으로 채널 코딩 및 변조 기술을 적용하고, LDM 방식으로 결합한다. 2. ATSC 3.0 UHDTV 실험방송 수신시스템 환경 현재 시장에 DASH/ROUTE 및 HDR/WCG와 MPEG-H 3D 오디오를 지원하는 ATSC 3.0 상용 단말이 존재 하지 않기 때문에, 본 연구에서는 송신시스템과 더불어 수신검 증 시스템을 개발하였다. PHY 망으로 전송되는 방송신호 는 ATSC 3.0 물리계층 수신기(Demodulator)에서 수신되 어 LLS를 추출하고 이를 파싱하여 LLS에 기록된 ROUTE 멀티캐스트 주소에 접속하고 해당 주소로부터 주기적으로 송신되는 SLS 를 획득한다. SLS는 전송 세션 정보 및 콘텐 표 5.
