UIKOREAN the Place to Learn Korean! * More than 14,000 undergraduate and 1,500 graduate students study at the national University of Incheon, Korea. * The University provides Korean Language Program consisting of four terms (Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter). Other Information Off-Campus Accommodation Health Insurance Club Activities (Buddy Program) Scholarships Cultural Programs Korean language students shall find individual accommodations off-campus. The monthly rent for off-campus accommodation is about 400,000~500,000 krw a month(200,000~250,000krw if shared by two students). Students can share a room with friends to save living expenses. If necessary, assistance, upon request, will be provided to students finding accommodations. - Location : 15 ~ 40 minutes by subway - Type : Small Studio(ONE-ROOM) or Single Studio(Gositel) - Monthly Rent : Small Studio (ONE-ROOM) about 400,000~500,000 krw (200,000~250,000krw if shared by two students). Single Studio (Gositel) about 300,000~400,000 krw per person Starting January 2013, it is mandatory for all international students (D-4 visa) to have health insurance coverage throughout their studies at UIKOREAN. International students must, by UIKOREAN health insurance requirements, show proof of health insurance coverage, prior to attending UIKOREAN classes or sign up for health insurance as soon as he/she receive alien registration card. - Yearly insurance premium rates range 130,000 to 400,000 krw according to one's age. After-school clubs such as a pronunciation club, a K-Pop club, and a conversation club are available for all Korean language students. A program entitled Jak Kung(Buddy) provides the opportunity for students to participate in activities that may help to build friendship with Korean volunteer students. Anyone student may join. A General Scholarship of 300,000 krw (per term) could be awarded to qualified students who have achieved excellent grades (i.e. a score of 90 or above in all areas of study with an attendance rate of 90% or above throughout the term). Other scholarships will be granted to qualified students according to the University policy. Field trips and cultural activities are an integral part of the UIKOREAN Korean Language Program. By adding cultural content, the program further enhances students understanding of Korean culture. 1 or 2 field trips and activity classes per term are included. Each term provides various Korean cultural programs for students.(excursion to Folk Village, royal palaces, and amusement parks, watching performances, craft activities, etc. After Successful Completion of Korean Language Program Obtaining TOPIK, or Test of Proficiency in Korean LEVEL 3 or 4 is required for admission of Korean Universities.
