ENGLISH Introduction Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to Philips! To fully benefit from the support that Philips offers, register your product at www.philips.com/welcome. Important Important safety instructions Read this important information carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future reference. Danger To avoid a hazard, do not move the appliance over its own mains cord or the mains cords of other appliances. To prevent electric shocks, never immerse nozzle or the body of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor rinse it under the tap. To prevent electric shocks, never move the appliance over floor sockets. Warning The plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance. To avoid a hazard, do not let the appliance pick up sharp objects. To avoid a hazard, do not let the appliance pick up flammable or combustible liquids and do not put flammable or combustible liquids in the clean water tank. To prevent damage, never put ethereal oils or similar substances in the clean water tank or let the appliance pick them up. To avoid a hazard, do not let the appliance pick up hot ashes. Do not lift or tilt nozzle during use, as water may spray out of nozzle. To prevent injury or damage to the motor, check if the voltage indicated on the appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance. Regularly check the mains cord and the appliance for damage. Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or the appliance itself is damaged. If the mains cord is damaged, you must have it replaced by Philips, a service centre authorised by Philips or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Keep objects, clothing, hairs, fingers and other body parts away from the moving parts and openings in nozzle. This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Care must be taken to ensure that children do not play with the appliance. Never store the appliance at a temperature lower than 0 C. Caution This appliance is intended for indoor household use only. Always unplug the appliance before you remove one of the water tanks or open nozzle. Do not plug in, unplug or operate the appliance with wet hands. As this appliance uses water to clean, the floor may remain wet and slippery for a while (Fig. 1). To prevent leakage, never tilt the upper body of the appliance too far backwards or put the appliance on its side when the dirty water tank contains wastewater. Do not block the ventilation openings of the appliance. Do not let the appliance pick up foreign objects other than dirt or liquid to prevent the active protection system from being activated. Never put acetic acid (vinegar) or a descaler in the clean water tank or let the appliance pick them up to prevent damage. This appliance does not require descaling. To prevent damage, never put wax, oil, floor maintenance products or liquid floor cleaners that are not water-dilutable in the clean water tank. Do not mix different types of liquid floor cleaner. When you have used one liquid floor cleaner, first empty and rinse the clean water tank before you add another liquid floor cleaner to the water in the clean water tank. To prevent damage, do not use liquid floor cleaners that are not transparent or even milky. Never exceed the maximum quantities mentioned on the bottle when you use a liquid floor cleaner. Do not add more than a few drops to the water in the clean water tank, as this tank has a capacity of 700ml. Do not let the appliance operate in the same spot too long, as this may damage the floor. Do not move the appliance over sand on the floor when it is switched off, as sand particles may cause scratches on your hard floor. Do not clean brushes with a sharp object, as this may damage the brush hairs and reduce the cleaning performance of the mopping brushes. Clean brushes according to the instructions. The mopping brushes are not dishwasher-proof or washing machine-proof. Only replace brushes with original mopping brushes from Philips. For ordering new mopping brushes, see chapter Ordering accessories. Compliance with standards This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and regulations regarding exposure to electromagnetic fields. Floor cleaning This appliance is intended for regular cleaning of hard floors. Always follow the cleaning instructions for your hard floor when you use this appliance. If you want to add a liquid floor cleaner to the water in the clean water tank, make sure that you use a low-foaming or non-foaming liquid floor cleaner that can be diluted in water. As the clean water tank has a capacity of 700ml, you only have to add a few drops of liquid floor cleaner to the water. Usage restrictions Only use this appliance on hard floors with a water-resistant top coat (such as linoleum, enamelled tiles and varnished parquet) or stone floors (such as marble). If your floor has not been treated to make it water-resistant, check with the manufacturer if you can use water to clean it. Do not use this appliance on hard floors of which the waterresistant top coat is damaged. Only use this appliance on linoleum floors that are properly affixed to prevent linoleum from being drawn into nozzle. Do not use this appliance to clean carpets. If you move the appliance over a carpet or a rug when it is switched on, the active protection system is activated. If you move the appliance over carpet or a rug when it is switched off, wastewater droplets may end up on your carpet or rug. Do not push the appliance over the floor grilles of convector heaters. As the appliance cannot pick up water that comes out of the nozzle when you move it over the grille, water ends up at the bottom of the convector pit. Do not move nozzle sideways, as this leaves water traces. Only move nozzle forwards and backwards. Active protection system This appliance is equipped with an active protection system. This active protection system has been designed to recognise when a foreign object other than dirt or liquid is picked up from the floor. When the system is activated, the appliance switches off and the red mopping brushes light lights up continuously. The active protection system is also activated when the mopping brushes are too wet, when you move the appliance over a carpet or a rug, or when you move it over flooring that is not properly affixed. Tips and other important information You can move the appliance just as quickly as a vacuum cleaner. To remove difficult stains, move the appliance slowly over the stain. Switch off the appliance before you pull it over a threshold to prevent water traces on the floor or water from splashing out of nozzle. After you switch off the appliance, move it forwards and backwards a few times to remove the liquid that is present between the two mopping brushes. If you fail to do this, the appliance leaves a trace of water on the floor when you lift it up. When you have filled the clean water tank, lock the lever properly. If the lever is not locked properly, the clean water tank may fall out when you release the appliance from its parking position. Troubleshooting This chapter summarises the most common problems you could encounter with the appliance. If you are unable to solve the problem with the information below, visit www.philips.com/support for a list of frequently asked questions or contact the Consumer Care Centre in your country. Problem Possible cause Solution does not work when I push the on/off button. The upper body wobbles and is not stable when I use the appliance. stopped working and the blue tank light flashes. stopped working and the blue tank light lights up continuously. stopped working. Make sure that you press the lid until it locks with a click. Press the upper body onto the lower body with some force and tighten the screw with a coin or a screwdriver. Fill the clean water tank. Make sure that you place the clean water tank properly and that the lever is locked. Empty the dirty water tank. Make sure that you place the dirty water tank properly and that the lever is locked. If the blue tank light flashes, the clean empty and needs to be filled. If the blue tank light lights up continuously, the dirty water tank is full and needs to be emptied. Problem Possible cause Solution I cannot close the mopping nozzle lid. leaves water traces on the floor. switched off and the red mopping brushes light lights up continuously. The ventilation openings are blocked. The red mopping brushes light flashes because brush cover is not present or is not placed properly. You have moved the appliance sideways. You have moved the appliance across a threshold while it was switched on. You have moved the appliance with its nozzle touching the floor while it was switched off. You lifted the appliance up from the floor immediately after you switched it off. The wheels are blocked. The mopping brushes are worn. The active protection system may have been activated for three reasons: (1) the appliance picked up a foreign object, (2) brushes are too wet or (3) you have moved the appliance over a carpet or a rug. Check all ventilation openings for any objects that block the ventilation openings. If necessary, remove these objects. Let the appliance cool down before you continue cleaning. Make sure that brushes are assembled correctly. Place brush cover into nozzle properly and then close nozzle lid. Only move the appliance forwards and backwards (see chapter Important, section Usage restrictions ). Make sure that brushes stay in contact with the floor. Switch off the appliance before you pull it over a threshold to prevent water traces on the floor or to prevent water from splashing from nozzle. If you want to avoid water traces on the floor, move the appliance by carrying it by its carrying handle or by tilting it so that it rests on its wheels for easy transport. After you switch off the appliance, move it forwards and backwards a few times to remove the liquid that is present between the two mopping brushes. If you fail to do this, the appliance leaves a trace of water on the floor when you lift it up. Check the condition of the wheels. Remove the dirt that blocks the wheels. Replace brushes. Release the power-on button to switch off the appliance. Put the appliance upright in parking position ( click ) and pull the plug out of the wall socket. Open the mopping nozzle lid, remove the mopping brush cover and remove the object. Reinsert brush cover, close nozzle lid, put the plug in the wall socket and switch on the appliance again. If you find no object, the active protection system may have been activated because the mopping brushes are too wet (see next cause and solution) or because you moved the appliance over a carpet or a rug. Pull the plug out of the wall socket, open and close nozzle lid, put the plug in the wall socket again, switch on the appliance and start cleaning again.

Problem Possible cause Solution I have just filled the clean water tank, but the blue tank light keeps flashing when I switch on the appliance. Water drips out of the appliance. I cannot remove brushes. I cannot tilt the appliance backwards without the nozzle coming off the floor. does not take up water when I flush nozzle and the red mopping brushes light lights up continuously I cannot move the appliance forwards or backwards. 한국어 The blue tank light may flash a few times when you switch on the appliance after you have filled the clean water tank. If the blue tank light continues to flash after filling, the clean not placed or locked properly. Water leaks from the dirty water tank because you tilted the upper body too far backwards or because you put the appliance on its side. This caused wastewater to flow out of the dirty water tank. You probably tried to remove them by pulling at the wrong side. is locked in parking position. You poured too much water into the flushing tray or you poured it in too fast. This causes brushes to become too wet. When the brushes are too wet, the active protection system is activated. One or more wheels are blocked by a small object. This happens because it takes a few seconds for the water to reach nozzle. Release the power-on button. Then press the power-on button to switch on the appliance again. Make sure that you place the clean water tank properly and make sure that the lever is locked. Do not tilt the upper body of the appliance too far backwards, for instance when you clean under a low table. Do not put the appliance on its side when there is wastewater in the dirty water tank (see chapter Important, section Caution ). Grab the lime green grips of the brushes and pull the brushes up a little. Then you should be able to slide them off the projection on the other side. Press the nozzle with your foot and release the appliance from parking position. Switch off the appliance, put the appliance upright in parking position ( click ), and pull the plug out of the wall socket. Remove brushes from the mopping nozzle and remove excess water from brushes by squeezing them over a sink. Then you can reinsert the mopping brushes, reinsert the mopping brush cover, close the mopping nozzle lid and switch on the appliance again. If this does not work, let brushes dry. Switch off and unplug the appliance and then put it on its side. Make sure that the dirty empty when you put the appliance on its side, otherwise wastewater may leak out of the dirty water tank.
