MODBUS Protocol for GIMAC Series 1. Introduction MODBUS RTU protocol 2. Physical Layer - Communication port : RS485 - Asynchronous format : 한 character는 10 로구성된다. (1 start bit + 8 data bits + (No parity bit) +1 stop bit) - Baud rate : 9600, 19200, 38400 bps - Parity : no parity - Master-Slave 방식으로 Master만이요청 (request) 을할수있고, Slave들은 Master에게요청된데이터를보내주거나질의에서요청되는동작을수행하는응답 (response) 을한다. 3. Data Link Layer Master 가 Slave 에게요청프레임을보내면, Slave 는응답프레임을보낸다. 각프레임들은 dead time 에의해구별된다. 다음은프레임을보내고받는일반적인형식이다. DESCRIPTION SLAVE ADDRESS FUNCTION CODE DATA CRC DEAD TIME SIZE 1 byte 1 byte N byte 2 byte 3.5 bytes transmission time Master Request Response Slave Slave address Device Address Device Address 자신의 Address Slave의 action 정의 Function Code Function Code Echo or MSB=1 Slave가요구받은 action을요청받은데이터또는수행하는데필요한 Data Data Exception code additional information CRC Error check Error check CRC 1) SLAVE ADDRESS - Server address range : 1~247 decimal - Master가 Slave에게요청을하는프레임의 Slave device address 영역이 0인경우는 Master device가모든 Slave에게 broadcasting함을의미한다.(time Sync 요청에만동작함 ) - Master가 Slave에게요청을하는경우에 address field에는해당 Slave address를기입하여전송한다. - Slave가 Master에게응답을하는경우에 address field에는자신의주소를기입하여전송한다. 2) FUNCTION CODE - Valid range : 1~255 (GIMAC에서는 03h, 04h, 05h, 06h, 10h 만사용함.) - Normal : 1~127, Error : 129 ~ 255(normal + 0x80) - Master가 Slave에게요구하는내용을정의한것이다. - Slave는다음과같은정보를기입한다. Normal response의경우 : request의 function code값을그대로 echo Exception response의경우 : request의 function code값의 MSB를 1로 set하여기입한다. 3) DATA - Register address - 요청또는처리할 item의양 - 실제데이터의바이트수
