2 유치원 19년 서울의 유치원은 개소밖에 없었으며, 유치원에 다니는 아동 수도 총 3,581명이었다. 그러나 7년대에 들어 유치원 수가 증가하기 시작하여 1971년 141 개소로 년 이후 1년간 2.4배로 늘어났다. 서울시 교육위원회는 1976년 처음으로 공립 유치원을 개교하고 공교육으로 인정하기 시작하였다. 유치원 수가 가 장 많이 증가한 것은 년대로, 1983년 한 해 동안 238개의 유치원이 늘어났고, 이후 1989년까지 매해 개 이상씩 늘어났다. 1994년 유치원 수는 1,391개로 최고를 기록한 후 점차 감소하여 11년 현재 857개의 유치원이 있다. 유치원 수의 증가에 따라 유치원 교사 수도 현저히 증가하였다. 년 명을 조금 넘던 유치원 교사는 19년 1,명을 넘어섰고, 11년 현재 5,755명으 로 증가하였다. 4.1 KINDERGARTENS In 19, there were only 69 kindergartens in Seoul, teaching 3,581 children. 3 초등학교 초등학교 의무교육은 공식적으로 195년 6월 1일 채택되었으나, 시설과 교원의 부족으로 실질적으로는 1953년 이후 단계적으로 추진되었다. 서울의 초등학교 수 는 년 94개에서 지속적으로 증가하여 11년 591개로 6.3배로 증가하였다. 11년 현재 약 53만 명이 초등학교에 재학하고 있고, 이들을 담당하는 교원은 29,639명에 이르고 있다. 교원 1인당 학생 수와 학급당 학생 수는 지속적으로 감소하여 서울의 초등학교 교육여건은 지속적으로 개선되어 왔다. 학급당 학생 수 수준을 살펴보면, 취학 학생의 증가로 년 학급당 학생 수가 76.6명이었으며, 년 85.1명으로 최고점에 달한 이후 감소하였다. 그러나 여전 히 년대 말까지는 학급당 학생 수가 약 명 수준이었고, 7년대에 들어서며 명 이하로 감소하였으나, 11년 현재 교실당 학생 수는 26.8명 수준으로 떨어 졌다. 교원당 학생 수는 년 65.3명, 9년 45명, 년 3.1명, 11년 현재 18.1명으로 크게 개선되었다. 그림 4-3. 구별 초등학교 학급당 학생 수 1 Figure 4-3. 4 중학교 중학교 시설은 한국 전쟁 이후 지속적으로 증가하여 년 97개에서 11년 377개로 3.9배로 증가하였다. 학교 수의 확충에 따라 교원 수도 년 1,886명 에서 11년 18,652명으로 약 1배로 증가하였다. 학교당 학급 수는 년 1.4개에서 1982년 34.4개로 증가했다가, 19년대 후반 이후 점차 줄기 시작하 여 11년 현재 26.7개이다. 학급당 학생 수는 1983년 69.5명으로 최고치를 기록한 이후 감소하기 시작하여 11년 현재 32.8명이다. 교원당 학생 수는 1978년 45.2명에서 11년 현재 17.7명 수준으로 감소하였다. 4.3 MIDDLE SCHOOLS The number of middle schools rose consistently after the Korean War, from 97 schools in to 377 schools in 11, growing by a factor of 3.9. 5 고등학교 고등학교 시설은 년 72개에서 11년 314개로 4.4배 증가하였다. 고등학교 교원 수도 년 1,476명에서 11년 현재 23,52명으로 15.6배로 늘어났 다. 학교당 학급 수는 년 7.7개에서 1989년 최대 43.1개까지 늘어났으나, 이후 감소하여 11년 현재 33.6개이다. 지속적인 학교시설 공급에도 불구하고 년대 초까지는 취학 청소년이 더 급속하게 증가하여 학급당 학생 수는 7년대 후반까지 명 내외 수준을 유지하였다. 이 후 년 후반부터는 청소년인구의 감소로 감소추이를 보여 11년 현재 33.6명이다. 전문 교원이 절대적으로 부족하던 19년도와 1986~1993년에 교원당 학생 수는 평균 명 선을 넘었었다. 하지만 이후 청소년인구의 감소로 교원당 학생 수가 감소하였으며, 11년 교원당 학생 수는 15.3명의 수준을 보이고 있다. 그림 4-7. 구별 고등학교 학급당 학생 수 1 Figure 4-7. 6 81 4. 교육및정보화실태 4.5 대학교 년당시서울에있었던대학은총 13개였다. 서울의대학은 ~1962년 1년간 1개소가늘어나고, 1964~년사이에다시 17개가늘어나 년 39개가된후큰변화가없다. 이는 197년대시행된수도권인구분산시책에따라대학의신 증설이억제되었기때문이다. 11년현재서울에는 37개의대학교가있다. 대학에진학한학생수는 1987년 31만명이었으며, 이후지속적으로증가하여 11년현재대학생수는 471,648명이다. 대학교 1개교당학생수는 195년대말평균 3,~4,명수준이었으나 년대에들어서는 1,명을넘었다. 대학교원의수도지속적으로증가하여 11년현재 12,명을넘어섰으며, 교원 1인당학생수는 3명수준이다. 4.5 UNIVERSITIES In, there were a total of 13 universities in Seoul. 7 교육및정보화실태 4.6 정보화실태 4.6 COMPUTER AND INTERNET USAGE 12년서울시의인터넷이용률은 78.4% 이고, 가구당컴퓨터보유율은 82.3% 이다. 년대초반급격한증가이후증가세가둔화되었지만여전히지속적으로증가하고있다. 서울시의인터넷하루평균사용시간은 11년 서울서베이 결과를기준으로 1.94시간이다. 성별로는남성, 연령별로는 대의인터넷사용시간이더길게나타나고있다. 2시간이상의이용률을보인자치구는, 서대문구,,,,,,,, 로나타난다. 이동전화가입자수는 년에 26,816,398명에서 11년현재 52,14,18명으로지속적으로증가하고있다. 이중 53% 인 27,686,473명이수도권가입자수이다. 통신산업의발달로인해향후이동전화의수요는꾸준히증가할것으로예상된다.
