2013 Kore Kültürü Tanıtım Yılı programları çerçevesinde planlanan TOTEMLER KAPADOKYA DA sergisinin İstanbul daki sanatseverlerle buluşmasından son derece mutluluk duyuyorum. Bu sergi, Koreli çömlek ustası Kim Yong Moon un eserleri Türkiye nin ünlü fotoğraf sanatçısı Ahmet Özyurt un Kapadokya yı fon alarak çektiği fotoğraflarla birlikte sergilendiği için daha anlamlı oldu. Kim Yong Moon 2010 Eylül ayından beri Türkiye de davetli profesör olarak geldiği Hacettepe Üniversitesi nde geleneksel Kore odun fırını kurup, genç öğrencilere Kore Maksabali öğretmesinin yanı sıra, Türkiye nin her bölgesinde Maksabal Sergisi ve Sempozyumu düzenlemek gibi Kore Kültürünün tanıtılması konusunda çok çalışmaktadır. Kore Büyükelçiliği Kültür Merkezi olarak Kore Kültürünü Türk Halkına tanıtabilmek için çeşitli etkinlikler düzenlemeye devam ediyoruz. Bu yılın özelliği; 31 Ağustos 22 Eylül tarihleri arasında İstanbul da düzenlenecek olan 2013 İstanbul Gyeongju Dünya Kültür EXPO nun da aralarında bulunduğu Kore nin tüm renklerini keşfedebilmeniz için sizlere bir fırsat yaratmaktır. İlişkileri çok eski zamanlara dayanan iki ülke vatandaşlarının karşılıklı kültürel anlayışının daha da gelişmesi için düzenlenen bu Türk Kore ortak sergisini beğenmenizi umarım. Totemler Kapadokya da Koreli Seramik sanatçısı Kim Yong Moon un seramiklerinden ve fotoğraf sanatçısı Ahmet Özyurt un fotoğraflarından oluşan sergi, Kore Kültür Merkezi nin Ankara daki galerisinde izleyicilerle buluştu. Kim Yong Moon, seramik üzerine olan hayallerinin peşine düşerken, yaşamını neredeyse seramik üretmeye ve bu seramiklerini pişireceği fırınları inşa etmeye adamış bir sanatçı. Hacettepe Üniversitesi GSF Seramik Bölümü nde çalışmakta olup, son üç yıla birçok sergi, Macsabal Fırını ve 3 ülkede organizasyonunu yaptığı Macsabal Festivallerini sığdırdı. Tüm bu çalışmalarına ilave olarak bu kez karşımıza totemleriyle çıkıyor. Kore de uzun yıllar önce çalışmış olduğu totemleri, yeni yorumlar katarak Türk izleyicilerle tekrar buluşturuyor. Kim Yong Moon un Ahmet Özyurt ile tanışması üzerine fotoğraf çekimi için Ankara dan Kapadokya ya taşınan totemler, Özyurt un fotoğraf yorumlarıyla artık Kapadokyalı olmuşlar. Farklı bir coğrafya ve kültüre ait bu totemler, bambaşka bir coğrafyada adeta evlerine kavuşmuş gibiler. Fotoğraflarda Kapadokya nın doğal dokusu ve totemler uyum içinde görülüyor. Bu totemler; elle şekillendirilmiş, yüksek boyutlu seramiklerdir ve Kim Yong Moon un Hacettepe Üniversitesi Güzel Sanatlar Fakültesi Seramik Bölümü ne kazandırdığı kendi fırınında, 1300 0C de pişmişlerdir. Totems in Cappadocia The exhibition comprising ceramic ware of Korean Fine Artist Kim Yong Moon and photography artist Ahmet Özyurt met viewers at Korean Culture Center s gallery in Ankara. While Kim Yong Moon pursued his dreams on ceramics, he is a fine artist who dedicated his life almost to producing ceramics and building the kilns in which he would fire such ceramic ware. He is with Hacettepe University Faculty of Fine Arts Ceramic Department, managing to fit numerous exhibitions, macsabal kilns and macsabal festivals he organized in three countries into the last three years. In addition to all this, he now appears before us with his totems. He reintroduces the totems he worked on many years ago in Korea to Turkish viewers, adding new interpretations. The totems carried from Ankara to Cappadocia for photo shoots when Kim Yong Moon met Ahmet Özyurt, now became Cappadocians with the photographic interpretations of Özyurt. These totems from a different geography and culture have almost found a home in a total and different geography. Cappodocia s natural texture and the totems seem to be in harmony in the photos. These totems are handcrafted, large sized ceramic ware and were fired at 1300 0C in Kim Yong Moon s own kiln he built for Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts Ceramics Department.
