Mt. Taishan Discourses in China and Taishan Culture in Korea* Choi, Won Suk Abstract : This paper studied on Mt. Taishan discourses in China and Taishan culture in Korea. I searched for the effects of the Chinese Taishan and Taishan discourses to Korea, and searched for the accepting way on the formation of Korean Taishan culture. Chinese Taishan discourses are as follows, the emperor s rite on Taishan, the five mountains and Taishan, the argument of the Taishan s mountain range originate from Mt. Janbak( ), Taishan of folk belief. Korean Taishan culture strongly showed the aspects of the people s linguistic and folk belief, which through the mediums or connections of the linguistic spatial image, the intellectual s famous mountain culture, the geographical knowledge and information like a map, Confucian ideology and Confucius, the folk Buddhism and indigenous belief.
