85 A BS T RA CT A S tudy on the Reality of Employment and problems of the De af and Dumb Kim, S ung Ha Departm ent of the social w ork Graduate School of Kangnam University T he m ost basic the right to live for human being is a w orking life. As w ell as it can contribute to a person' s support through a job activity, enjoy a civilized life. It is the most of productive policy that provide equal employm ent opportunities to the deaf and dumb as normal person. T his thesis launches study for employm ent of the deaf and dumb w ith special interesting. According to the experience of field, these results show that are engaged in limited, poor kind of occupation, change of occupation superficially w ith respect of the contrary. After enacting em ployment prom otion law for the disabled has been accom plis hed study in field of the em ploym ent. In addition, the study in field of education for the handicapped is short, focus on the subject of children the deaf and dum b' w ay. T he sys tem, service for activated employment w ill be improved. T he purpose of this study is to investigate the difficulties w ith the s pecial focus of employm ent situation, and the ultimate purpos e furnish data to establis h of more chance of em ployment. T he subordinate objects are follow s F irst, grasp the employm ent situation for the deaf and dumb S econd, gras p the em ployment situation for training of occupation. T hird, s ystem atically analyze difficulties, find out the suggestions in

For this thesis, it w as inquired the existing data, statistical research and refer to education for the handicapped, to a personnel m anager in sm all and medium enterprises, to Korea Em ploym ent Promotion Agency for the disabled on the w ork of employment. T he results are follow s T he percentage of em ploym ent doesn' t reach 40%, and absolutely em ployed in field of agriculture, forestry, fishing, m ining industry, m anufacturing, clothing, printing business, the rubber industry, plas tic manufacturing, the metalw orking industry. so they has employed productive labor, w orker and a s mall- scale businessm an. T he deaf and dumb are distributed the s imple prim ary industries concentrately contem porary w ith dulling the percentage of complicated industries. T he suggestion for tendency show s First, be short of disabled man w ho train for specialized expert, w anted by the enterprise. T hey don' t get ready com petition so s how to distribution the simple primary industries. S econd, be s hort of training center for disablem an, find out limited kind of occupation and don' t really help for em ploym ent. T hird, be short of system on a certificate of qualification, practice counterplan and inquire a practical use. T his study concludes that give full play their ability for specialized program, training, enforce a system, and improve that. F or the thes e, m us t carry out s tudy on the employment situation the deaf and the dumb or the desire of job, and w e suggest to be necessary the practical use of effective m ethod of teaching, expansion continually
