May Kia Motors _ Woo-Sung Lee, manager Product marketing team Hyundai Mobis _ Jung-Soo Choi, deputy director Green vehicle parts production team Merchandising Parts Going slow to protect the planet Spending time with nature Woo-Sung Lee has been a member of the Soul EV product marketing team for the past two years. He has been involved in the project from conceptualization all the way to mass production. And by coincidence, Mr. Lee s daughter s name is Soul which is identical to the car s name. Mr. Lee has recently thought more about his own personal environmental impact. He has tried to reduce food wastes and turn the light off in the office at lunchtime. He believes that many small changes add up to make a big difference for the planet. Jung-Soo Choi has been in charge of developing parts for 10 green vehicle models, starting with the AvanteForte hybrid. He is currently responsible for the production of the battery unit, the motor and the control unit for hybrid cars, electric cars and fuel cell electric vehicles. Whilst working at the Uiwang plant, he became more interested in environmental protection. He spent time biking around the area with one of his Hyundai Mobis colleagues who he was mentoring. The experience makes him realize the beauty of nature and also helped him to become fit, losing 10 kilograms. He believes that you can learn to care more about the environment when you spend time in nature. Eco-Friendly Car SOUL EV Way to live as a nice earthman In May Spring is in her prime, represented by the variety of lush green colors. However, the general trend around us is grey with countless tall buildings and few green spots. Nevertheless, we should not be depressed; there are people out there who care about the environment and are doing something about it. The Soul EV was created by Hyundai Autron _ Jae-Uk Lee, researcher Hardware platform team Parts Taking pride in generating less trash Jae-Uk Lee is responsible for the development of the motor control unit for electric and hybrid vehicles. He is involved at all stages of development from the initial design to confirmation of the final design for mass production. He defines the Soul EV as a car that makes a big splash without the thunder, because it is a revolutionary car which runs quietly without any engine at all. For his green action, he choose to stop littering. He says processing trash can be 3D work(dirty, dangerous and difficult) but avoiding littering is 3ND(not dirty, not dangerous and not difficult). Mr. Lee has a lot of similarities with the Soul EV. these people. Here is the story of the people who are leading a life as green as the Soul EV. 006

PROVENCE Provence is a region in the southeast of France where you can enjoy a slow paced lifestyle in the traditional countryside. Most of the Provence region except the left bank of the Rhone river and the wetland in the Carmargue region are surrounded by mountains, creating a wonderfully serene atmosphere. Everywhere you look, the picturesque scenery make you fall in love with Provence. I travelled around the region to take in the art and culture that the region has inspired. Provence, a place where all your worries disappear 030 031
Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Arles A place teeming with art 02 01 03 04 It would be a huge mistake to miss Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and Arles when travelling in Provence because these cities have served as the source of inspiration for some of the greatest artwork produced by some of the most renowned artists in history. Marseille is the backdrop for <The Count of Monte Cristo>, a popular novel by Alexandre Dumas. The city also has a number of museums that boast ancient Egyptian relics and African art pieces. The Basilique Notre-Dame-de la Garde and the Calenque cliff made of limestone are popular tourist attractions. Aix-en-Provence is the place Paul Cezanne opened a new door to the radically different world of art in the 20 th century. You can drop by the birthplace of Cezanne whilst strolling from the Place du General-de-Gaulle to the Cours Mirabeau with its magnificent plane trees. Arles is where Vincent van Gogh found the inspiration for some of his best works such as the Langlois Bridge at Arles with Women Washing, cafe la nuit (The Night Cafe) and the Espace van Gogh. The Frederic Mistral, a poet who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1904 and the novelist, Alphonse Daudet who wrote <The Last Lesson> were both born in Arles. You can also find the remains of a naval base, a round stadium and the Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano where the Great Constantine is buried. 01 02 03 04 032 033
01 02 03 Avignon, Luberon, Lsle sur la sorgue: Some other great places in Provence 04 05 01 02 03 04 05 06 The cities of Provence offer a lot to see but its countryside such as Avignon, Luberon and Lsle sur la sorgue offer even more. Designated as a world heritage site in 1995, Avignon is a city of great historical significance where seven successive popes have resided. Many of the old buildings were burnt down and disappeared after the French Revolution however some of the most beautiful architecture including Pont Saint-Benezet, which is often referred to as Pont d Avignon (the bridge of Avignon) still remains. Luberon offers one of the most scenic driving routes. The near-by town of Gordes is beautiful towns which you can pick to visit and Roussillon full of its redbrick houses has some of the most historic and interesting alleys where you can take a relaxing stroll around. The Lsle sur la sorgue is highly recommended for antique collectors. The town is famous for having one of the largest antique shops in Europe and therefore antique collectors from all over the world can be found here. Flea markets and farmers markets also open every Sunday. The town has the nick name as the Venezia of the Provence, and it s where you can take some of the best photos for your album. 06 034 035
