In July 2013, I was blessed with an opportunity to meet South Korea s dental technologists in The 17th Asia-Pacific Dental Technologist Federation Conference, and the 5th International Congress of Dental Technology held in the science and technology city of Daejeon. There, I was very much impressed with their passion and serious scholarly attitude for dental technique. Their energy was profound. Since then, organizations of dental technologists in Japan and South Korea have continued to deepen exchanges with each other. In coming October, a variety of events will be held in Fukuoka City, Kyushu region of Japan, which has a long history of relationship with South Korea, including the 60th anniversary ceremony of enactment of the Dental Technologists Act and foundation of Japan Dental Technologists Association, and The 18th Asia-Pacific Dental Technologist Federation Conference. I hope to see a lot of friends from your country visit Fukuoka, Kyushu and enjoy mixing with fellow Japanese dental technologists. On behalf of all my colleagues of the Dental Technology Society of Chinese Stomatological Association, I would like to extend our warmest congratulations and best wishes to the success of the Conference. It has been 17 years since the establishment of the Dental Technology Society of Chinese Stomatological Association and the Society has been achieving rapid development under the leadership of the Chinese Stomatological Association in the past ten years.
