Based on Social and economic conditions, examine the potential for use of KS K 0051(2009) standard sizing system for female adult's garments are needed. Through which, it was intended to suggestion for the revision of standard sizing system for female adult s garments which can facilitate communication among consumer, producer and sellers. The improvement point was discussed through review of the current KS K 0051 (2009) and abroad standard sizing system for female adult s garments, ISO 3637(1977), ISO 4416(1981), BS EN (2002), BS EN (2004), JIS L 4005(2001) and GB/T (2008). Also, the revision of standard sizing system for female adult s garments was suggested using data of 6th Size Korea. As a result of this study, in the revision, formal wear, casual wear, training wear and under wear were separated to simplify the classification and the classification of body type were excluded. Also, it is possible that size designation was simplified through optional notation and letter code based on bust girth could be marked together in casual wear. Key words : female adult s garment( 성인여성복 ), revision standard sizing system( 치수표준개정 ), size designation( 호칭표기 ), KS K 0051(KS K 0051) 1. 서론 KS K 0051(2009) 성인여성복치수표준은 1990년에제정되어 1994년, 1999년, 2004년, 2009년에개정되었다. 1~3개부위의신체치수조합으로이루어진현행성인여성복치수호칭표기는소비자가본인의신체치수를사용하여의복사이즈를선택할수있다는점에서소비자인지의편이성을높였다고할수있다. 그러나최근수입의류가많이유통되면서한가지숫자로이루어진미국이나유럽의치수호칭을자주접하게되어단순한호칭표기에대한선호가높아짐에따라국내치수호칭에대한불만족이자주표출되고있다. 의류생산및유통구조의변화에따라서도호칭표기개정의필요성이등장하고있는데, 의류제품이다품종소량생산되고온라인쇼핑몰의활성화및대 Corresponding author; JeongYim Lee Tel , Fax ljyim@pcu.ac.kr 형마트의증가등유통구조가다변화됨에따라유통의편의성을제공하기위한간단하면서도정확한의류치수표준의필요성이대두되고있다 (Jung et al., 2014). 치수호칭은기성복사이즈에대한정보를제공하지만, 치수호칭이같다고해서의복의제품치수가모두같은것은아니다. 예를들어동일한 의호칭표기가되어있는재킷이라도브랜드에따라타이트하거나또는약간여유있거나하는데, 이것은각의류브랜드의목표집단및디자인특성과관계가있음에도불구하고, 일부소비자들에게치수호칭표기에대한불만족을갖게하는원인이되기도한다. 사람의체형과크기가다른만큼치수호칭에대한선호도매우다양하게나타난다고할수있다. 치수표준은의류업체의기성복사이즈전개시기준이되므로소비자의인체치수분포와연계되어야하며, 또한소비자가의복을구매할때사이즈선택의기준이되므로소비자가쉽게인지할수있는단순성이중요시된다. 다양한브랜드와의복아이템이존재하는상황에서실질적인치수정보를제공하 776

2 성인여성복의 KS 치수표준개정을위한제안연구 777 는수치로이루어지면서도간단하고소비자가쉽게인지할수의류치수표준이마련되는것은매우중요하며, 또한의류수출이증대하고있는시점에서국내외에서널리활용할수있는치수표준이필요하다. 그러나치수표준의개정은의류업체가시간적, 경제적비용을부담해야하고소비자에게혼란을야기시킬수있으므로신중한검토가필요하며, 획기적인변화보다는현행치수표준의틀을유지하면서업체에서생산및유통환경의변화에따라융통성있게적용할수있도록개정이이루어져야한다. 이와같은사회적, 경제적상황을근거로현시점에서 KS K 0051(2009) 성인여성복치수표준의내용과활용성에대해검토하는것이필요하며, 이를통해한국인의인체치수에기본을두고소비자, 생산자및판매자간소통을원활하게할수있는성인여성복치수표준개정안을마련하고자하였다. 이에따라본연구에서는현행 KS K 0051(2009) 의내용에대한검토와국외성인여성복치수표준에대해고찰을통해개선점을도출하고, 제6차사이즈코리아의성인여성인체치수측정결과를활용하여성인여성복치수표준의개정안을제안하였다. 2. 연구방법 2.1. KS K 0051(2009) 검토및국외성인여성복치수표준과비교 KS K 0051(2009) 성인여성복의치수표준을검토하고, 국제여성복치수표준 ISO 3637(1977) 과 ISO 4416(1981), 영국및유럽의여성복치수표준 BS EN (2002) 와 BS EN (2004), 일본의여성복치수표준 JIS L 4005 (2001), 중국의여성복치수표준 GB/T (2008) 를비교, 분석하여개선점을도출하였다. 또한 KS K 0051(2009) 은파운데이션이나스타킹등의아이템을포함하지않지만국외표준에서는포함되어있는등표준이포함하는아이템에차이가있으므로, 국외표준과비교시 KS K 0051(2009) 에포함된아이템을대상으로하였다 성인여성의치수분포분석및치수표준개정제안 2010년측정된제6차사이즈코리아의성인여성인체치수측정결과를활용하여성인여성의가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키의분포를분석하고, 국내외치수표준분석에따른개선점을반영하여성인여성복치수표준개정안을제안하였다. 자료분석을위해 SPSS v.18을사용하여빈도분석을실시하였다. 3. 결과및논의 3.1. KS K 0051(2009) 검토및국외성인여성복치수표준과비교 KS K 0051(2009) 의내용을검토하고 ISO 및 BS EN, JIS, GB/T 치수표준과비교하였으며, Table 1에결과를제시하였다. 먼저각표준이대상으로하는성인여성의연령대에서차이가나타났는데, KS와 GB/T는대상연령이 18세이상 59세까지로동일하였고, JIS는 16세이상부터 79세까지여성을대상으로하였다. ISO와 BS EN은성인여성을키성장이완료된여성으로정의하고구체적인연령을수치로제시하지않았다. 최근우리나라노년여성중에서도중년의체형을갖는경우가점차증가하고있으므로성인여성의연령범위를조정하는것이필요하다고생각된다. 다음으로체형분류에대해비교해보면, KS는상의용체형을엉덩이둘레와가슴둘레차에따라 N, A, H 체형으로구분하고, 하의용체형을엉덩이둘레와허리둘레차에따라보통체형, 허리가가는체형, 허리가굵은체형으로구분하였으며, 키에따라 P, R, T로구분하였다. ISO3637(1977) 과 ISO 4416 (1981) 에서는체형분류를포함하고있지않지만, ISO/TC 133 기술위원회 (Technical Committee) 에서제안된 ISO/TR (1991) 에서는엉덩이둘레와가슴둘레차에따라 A, M, H 체형으로, 키에따라 S, R, L로체형을구분하였다. JIS에서는엉덩이둘레와가슴둘레차에따라 A, Y, AB, B체형으로, 키에따라 R, P, PP, T로구분하였으며, GB/T에서는가슴둘레와허리둘레차에따라 Y, A, B, C체형으로구분하였다. BS EN은체형을구분하지않고있으며, JIS와 GB/T에서만호칭표기에체형을함께표기하고있음을알수있다. 치수호칭표기에사용되는기본인체치수항목을살펴보면, KS에서는가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키를치수호칭표기에사용하고있고, ISO에서는가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키, 다리길이를사용하며, BS EN에서는가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키, 다리안쪽길이, 밑가슴둘레 ( 수영복 ) 를사용하고있다. JIS에서는가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키, 다리안쪽길이를치수호칭표기에사용하고있으며, GB/T에서는가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 키를사용하고있다. 의복종류의구분은 KS를제외한 4개국외표준에서의복아이템에따라구분하고있는데, KS에서는상의, 하의구분과아이템별구분이혼용되어있어의복종류구분의기준을개선하는것이필요하다. 치수호칭에사용되는기본인체치수항목의치수간격을비교해보면, KS에서는피트성이필요한의복과피트성이필요하지않은의복의경우로나누어치수간격을제시하고있다. 피트성이필요한경우가슴둘레와허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레의치수간격은 3cm, 키의치수간격은 5cm를사용하고있으며, 피트성이필요하지않은경우는가슴둘레와허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키모두 5cm의치수간격을사용하고있다. ISO 기본인체치수항목의치수간격은 ISO/TR (1991) 에제시되어있는데, 가슴둘레 4 cm(104 cm 이상 6cm), 허리둘레와엉덩이둘레 4cm, 키 8cm 간격을사용하고있다. BS EN에서는키 4cm 또는 8cm, 가슴둘레 4 cm(104 cm 이

5 780 한국의류산업학회지제 16 권제 5 호, 2014 년 상 6 cm), 허리둘레 4 cm(88 cm 이상 6cm), 엉덩이둘레 4cm (112 cm 이상 5cm) 의간격으로치수호칭이전개되며, 키호칭의경우나라와브랜드에따라 4cm 또는 8cm 간격을사용하도록하고있다. JIS는 KS와마찬가지로피트성이필요한의복과필요하지않은의복의경우로구분하여치수간격을제시하고있는데, 피트성이필요한경우에는가슴둘레와허리둘레 3cm, 엉덩이둘레 2cm, 키 8cm이며, 피트성이필요하지않은경우는기본인체치수를단수표시하거나또는범위호칭표기를사용하도록되어있다. GB/T에서는키 5cm, 가슴둘레 4cm, 허리둘레 2cm 또는 4cm의간격으로치수가전개된다. KS와 JIS에서만가슴둘레와허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레편차 3cm를사용하고있었는데, 의류업체에서그레이딩편차로 4cm를많이사용하는것과 JIS를제외한국외표준의편차가 4cm인것을고려할때 4cm 편차로수정하는것이타당할것으로판단된다. 범위호칭또는문자호칭은 KS와 BS EN, JIS에제시되어있는데, 가슴둘레또는키의범위를구분하여범위호칭또는문자호칭으로표기할수있게되어있다. BS EN의문자호칭은가슴둘레치수간격인 4cm의 2배인 8cm를치수범위로정하고있는데, KS 범위호칭의가슴둘레치수간격 (7~11 cm) 이치수호칭의치수간격 (3 cm 또는 5cm) 과연계되지않는데비해 BS EN의경우치수호칭과문자호칭의연계가가능하다는장점이있다. 국내외표준의치수호칭표기를비교해보면, KS의경우기본인체치수를나열하도록되어있고, ISO는픽토그램을사용하거나기본인체치수를제시하고있다. BS EN은픽토그램을사용하며, JIS와 GB/T는체형과인체치수의조합으로표기하고있다. 이상과같이 KS와 ISO, BS EN, JIS, GB/T의성인여성복치수표준을비교한결과로부터 KS K 0051(2009) 의개선점을도출하였다. 첫째, 현행 KS K 0051(2009) 에서 59세까지로되어있는대상연령의범위를확대하는것이필요하며, 둘째, 의복종류의구분을개선하여아이템별의복구분을하는것이필요하다. 셋째, 치수호칭에사용하는가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레치수의간격을현재의 3cm에서 ISO와 BS EN, GB/T 와같이 4cm 간격으로개선함으로써국제표준과의부합가능성을높이고기성복업체에서주로사용하는그레이딩편차 4cm와연계시키는것이바람직하며, 넷째, KS 범위호칭의치수간격을 BS EN의문자호칭과같이치수호칭의치수간격과연계하는것이필요하다 KS K 0051 성인여성복치수표준의개정제안 KS K 0051(2009) 에대한검토및국외성인여성복표준에대한분석, 제6차사이즈코리아의성인여성인체측정자료분석결과를통해개정이필요하다고판단된내용을반영하여 KS K 0051(2009) 성인여성복치수표준의개정안을제안하였다. KS K 0051(2009) 과제안된개정안을비교한결과는 Table 2와같다 대상연령현행 KS K 0051은 18세에서 59세를대상으로하며, 60세이상의노년여성을위한여성복치수표준 KS K 0055 (2009) 가따로제정되어있다. 그러나 60세이상여성중정신적, 신체적으로중년층에가깝고노년층으로보기어려운여성의비율이점차증가하고있다. 따라서본연구에서는 Table 2 에서와같이표준의적용대상을 18세이상 69세이하성인여성으로제안하였다 의복종류의구분과호칭표기현행치수표준에서는상의, 하의, 상하연결의, 운동복, 작업복, 내의류, 잠옷으로의복을구분하였으며, 다시피트성이필요한경우와피트성이필요하지않은경우로구분하여호칭표기방법을달리하고있다. 피트성이있는의복의예로정장을, 피트성이필요하지않는의복의예로캐주얼재킷과니트를제시하고있으며, 피트성이있는의복의경우에는 가슴둘레-엉덩이둘레-키, 허리둘레-엉덩이둘레 와같이 2~3개수치를나열하여호칭표기하고, 피트성이필요하지않은의복의경우에는단독수치를사용하거나 S, M, L, XL와같은문자호칭으로표기하도록되어있다. 그러나최근에는캐주얼웨어도타이트핏으로입는경우가대부분이어서, 정장을피트성이있는의복으로보거나캐주얼을피트성이필요하지않은의복으로정하는것은타당하지않으며, 다양한의복아이템에대해융통성있게적용할수있는호칭표기방안이필요하다. 이에따라의복아이템별호칭표기방법의개정안을제안하여 Table 3에제시하였다. Table 3의개정안에서는의복종류의구분을보다단순화하여정장, 캐주얼, 운동복, 내의 ( 잠옷포함 ) 로구분하였다. 호칭표기방법은선택표기가가능하게하였는데, 정장재킷의경우현행치수표준처럼 가슴둘레 -엉덩이둘레-키 의조합으로표기하거나 가슴둘레 -키 의조합으로표기가가능하다. 캐주얼의경우현행치수표준에서는재킷과드레스의치수호칭에서만 가슴둘레-키 의두가지치수항목의나열방법을사용하고그외의의복아이템에대해서는한가지치수항목만으로표기하였다. 그러나최근에는앞에서언급한것처럼정장이냐캐주얼이냐에따라의복의피트성이정해져있지않으므로캐주얼의치수호칭도정장과마찬가지로핏에따라 2~3개인체치수항목을나열하는호칭표기를선택하여사용할수있도록하였다. 운동복이나수영복, 내의의경우도아이템에따라호칭표기를지정하지않고다양한호칭의선택표기가가능하게하였다. 이와같은선택적호칭표기를통해업체에서는자율적으로의복의치수에관한정보를구체적또는간소화하여표기하는것이가능하다.

Covering the whole body B-Height Covering the upper body B-Height * B Covering the lower body H-Height * H 체형분류현행치수표준에서는 Table 1과같이드롭에따라상의용체형과하의용체형을구분하여호칭표기에체형특성이반영되도록되어있다. 그러나실제로기성복치수호칭표기에활용되고있지는않으며업체의생산효율성을고려할때체형분류가의복제작에반영되기어려운상황이므로, 개정안에서는의복제작에반영되고있지않은체형분류를제외하였다 치수간격현행여성복치수표준의의복종류별치수간격을살펴보면, 정장의경우가슴둘레와허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레호칭치수 간격을 3cm, 키는 5cm를사용하고있으며, 캐주얼웨어와운동복, 내의의경우는가슴둘레와허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키모두 5cm 간격을사용하고있다. 그러나의류업체에서그레이딩시가슴과허리, 엉덩이둘레 4cm 편차를사용하는경우가많고, JIS를제외한 ISO, EN, GB/T 등주요국가의여성복표준에서가슴둘레 4cm 편차를적용하고있는점을고려할때 (Table 1), 가슴둘레호칭의치수간격은 4cm를적용하는것이적합하다고판단된다. 허리둘레와엉덩이둘레치수호칭도가슴둘레와동일하게 4cm 편차를사용하는경우가많은데, 허리둘레와엉덩이둘레는하의에도적용되는치수항목이므로치수간격을 2cm로하여 2cm 또는 4cm 치수간격을모두활용

Range of the hip girth for formal wear (interval: 2 cm or 4 cm) (Unit: cm) Hip girth ~ 81 81~ 83 83~ 85 85~ 87 87~ 89 89~ 91 91~ 93 Rate(%) ~ 95 95~ 97 97~ 99 99~ ~ ~ ~ ~ 118 할수있도록제안하였다. 따라서개정안에서제시하는정장의치수간격은키 5cm, 가슴둘레 4cm, 허리둘레 2cm, 엉덩이둘레 2cm이다. 단분포가낮아지는가슴둘레 100 cm 이상의구간에서는 6cm 간격을사용하고, 허리둘레 88 cm 이상과엉덩이둘레 100 cm 이상의구간에서는 4cm 간격을사용하도록하였다. 이와같은치수간격을기준으로호칭에사용되는기본인체치수항목별치수를전개하고각치수에해당되는최대최소범위와분포를 Table 4~Table 7에제시하였다. 개정안에서캐주얼웨어와운동복, 내의의치수간격은현행표준과마찬가지로키 5cm, 가슴둘레 5cm, 허리둘레 5cm, 엉덩이둘레 5cm이다. 캐주얼웨어와운동복, 내의호칭에사용되는기본인체치수항목별치수를전개하고각치수에해당되는최대최소범위및분포를 Table 8~11에제시하였다 문자호칭현행치수표준에서는체격호칭을 S( 가슴둘레 72 cm 이상 ~82 cm 미만 ), M(82 cm 이상 ~89 cm 미만 ), L(89 cm 이상 ~98 cm 미만 ), XL(98 cm 이상 ~109 cm 미만 ) 로구분하고키표시호칭을 P(155 cm 미만 ), R(155 cm 이상 ~165 cm 미만 ), T(165 cm 이상 ) 로구분하여범위호칭을제시하였다. 그러나범위호칭이커버하는가슴둘레의범위가너무크고 3cm 간격으로전개되는가슴둘레치수호칭의전개와연계되지않는것을알수있다. 또한브랜드마다 M에대한정의가달라지는경우가많아소비자에게혼란을주는것으로나타났다. 실제로온라인쇼핑몰에제시된문자호칭사용실태를조사한결과, 각문자호칭에대해가슴둘레범위를제시한경우에서로다른가슴둘레범위를사용하고있거나 ( fila.co.kr/2010/eshop/eshop.main.html, 문자호칭을가슴둘레치수호칭과연계하지않고제품치수와연계하여제시하고있어 ( 문자호칭의정의를명확히하는것이필요하다. 이에따라개정안에서는 Table 12와같이캐주얼웨어및운동복, 내의에대해가슴둘레 5cm 치수간격을적용하여여성

Letter code for casual wear, training wear and underwear (Unit: cm) Letter code 3XS XXS XS S M L XL XXL 3XL 4XL Bust girth / /125 복문자호칭을전개하였다. 가슴둘레 90 cm를 M(medium) 으로하여 3XS부터 4XL까지로전개하였으며, 가슴둘레 110 cm 이상의구간에서는 10 cm 치수간격을적용하여가슴둘레치수호칭 110과 115는 3XL에해당되며, 가슴둘레치수호칭 120 과 125는 4XL에해당된다. 4. 결론한국성인여성의인체치수에기본을두고소비자, 생산자및판매자간소통이원활하면서, 의류산업의국제경쟁력을확보할수있는국내의류치수체계를마련하기위해성인여성복치수표준의개정안을제안하였다. 성인여성복치수표준개정안은 18세이상 69세이하성인여성을대상으로하며, 치수호칭에사용되는기본인체치수항목은가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키의 4개항목이다. 개정안에서는의복종류를정장, 캐주얼, 운동복, 내의 ( 잠옷포 함 ) 로구분하여분류를간소화하였으며, 의복제작에반영되지않고있는체형분류를제외하였다. 개정안의호칭표기는현행표준과같이기본인체치수항목을나열하는방식이지만선택표기가가능하도록하여호칭표기의간소화가가능하도록하였고, 캐주얼의류에서는가슴둘레치수항목을기준으로설정한문자호칭을병용표기할수있도록하였다. 치수간격은정장의경우가슴둘레 4cm, 허리둘레 2cm, 엉덩이둘레 2cm, 키 5cm를사용하며, 가슴둘레 100 cm 이상은 6cm, 그리고허리둘레 88 cm 이상과엉덩이둘레 100 cm 이상은 4cm 간격을사용하도록변경하였다. 캐주얼과운동복, 내의에서는가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레, 키에서모두 5cm 간격을사용하도록하였다. 개정안에서대상연령의범위를확대한것과아이템별의복구분으로수정한점, 치수호칭에사용하는가슴둘레, 허리둘레, 엉덩이둘레치수의간격을 4cm 간격으로개선한점은국

9 784 한국의류산업학회지제 16 권제 5 호, 2014 년 제규격과의연계를높였다고판단된다. 그러나국제표준에서키의간격으로 8cm를적용하고있는데비해개정안에서는한국인여성의키분포를고려하고의류업체의의견수렴을통해현행 5cm를유지하였는데, 추후키간격의적합성에대한지속적검토가필요하다고생각된다. 대상연령이 69세로확대됨에따라노년여성을위한치수표준에대한추가적인검토와 논의도필요하다. 성인여성복의의류치수표준개정안에서는보다정확하고간소화된호칭표기가가능하도록하여의류산업에서보다융통성있게활용될수있도록하였으며, 이를통해국내의류산업의발전과소비자만족도향상에기여할수있을것으로기대한다. 감사의글 본연구는 2012년도산업통상자원부국가기술표준원학술연구용역사업비의지원으로수행되었으며, 연구결과는실제 KS 치수표준의개정과다를수있습니다.
