도봉구 상징물 도봉구의 마크 휘장(상징마크) 무궁한 발전과 번영을 기약하고 쾌적한 자연과 도시가 함께 숨쉬는 희망찬 도봉구의 소망을 상징. 상단 맑은 물, 맑은 공기를 나타내며 자연과 도시가 함께 숨쉬는 희망찬 도봉구를 상징. 중앙 서울의 명산인 도봉산 중 선인봉, 자운봉, 만장봉을 나타내며 늘 살아 움직여 번영하는 도봉구를 상징. 하단 청결한 지구표면을 나타내며 무궁한 발전을 기약하는 도시와 도봉구(민)의 집결되고 탄탄한 기반을 상징. 상징물(꽃, 나무, 새) 구꽃(區花) / 꽃창포 - 꽃창포는 서울창포원 조성 이후 구민정서에 더욱 친근하게 다가온 꽃으로, 도봉구의 아름다운 자연환경과 우수한 생활환경을 나타냄. - 꽃창포의 꽃말 : 좋은 소식, 심부름, 우아한 마음 - 서울창포원(도봉동 소재)은 130여종의 꽃창포, 붓꽃류를 감상할 수 있는 특수식물원이다. 구나무(區木) / 은행나무 - 은행나무는 외양이 아름답고, 도시 공해 및 병충해에도 강한 나무로, 시련속에서도 거목으로 성장하는 은행나무의 모습은 도봉구의 무한한 발전 가능성과 더불어 행복한 삶을 살아가는 도봉구민의 조화로움을 나타냄. - 방학동 은행나무(방학동 546번지 소재)는 생장상태가 양호하고 수형이 아름다워 서울특별시 기념물(제33호, 2013. 3. 28.)로 지정. 구새(區鳥) / 학(두루미) - 고고한 기품과 선비적 기상, 장수의 상징으로 예로부터 우리 민족의 한결같은 사랑을 받고 있는 새로, 유구한 역사 속에서 문화적 차별성과 탁월한 경쟁력으로 번영하는 도봉구의 미래를 나타냄. - 방학동(放學洞)의 지명, 도봉서원에서 강론을 듣는 선비의 모습 등 우리구의 고유한 역사, 문화와 깊은 연관이 있음.
