Development of Parts Database and Utility for Publication of Standard Parts The purpose of this study is to build a 3D CAD database (washer, key, pin etc.) of the standard parts. After development, it will be offered to the developer from each group of military, ADD, company and relevant departments. By doing so, this result of study try to avoid redundancy components and expanded use standard. Use substantial standardization existing studies is quite difficult. Because the sharing of information is not carried out smoothly and not easy to search by that composed of image information in the form of existing. Further, every developer, each manufacturer designs the parts to be used repeatedly separately. Loss of the enormous time and expense associated with this occurs. In addition, the developer has not a smooth access to information of defense standard existing parts and this is a problem caused. Standardization in munitions, standardization of equipment is also important. However, standardization of parts in the unit is important for the practical standardization. In the past, standardization of parts it is difficult to share information between companies is not performed. So the number of parts were steadily increasing. By taking advantage of the sharing of DB of standard parts, which is built in this study, it is possible to share information about the standard parts on military and civilian both easily. So, it follows that to reduce the design repetitive tasks, resulting in cost savings - iii -
and economic efficiency of operations. In addition, it reduces the number of species, standardization of these parts, provides a reduction in inventory costs. It not only incidental effects, such as prevention of end parts sales are also excellent.
