SECULAR ORDER OF DISCALCED CARMELITES The Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites are men and women in the Church who are called to a deeper life of prayer in the footsteps of St. Teresa of Avila, St. John of the Cross, and St. Therese of the Child Jesus. Under the protection of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we make a commitment as Secular Order members to seek God for the good of the Church and for the world through prayer and works of charity that are the fruit of prayer. Secular Carmelites are married or single and from all walks of life. If you would like further information or are interested in joining please contact: Missi at 307-235-1407 What are Mass Intentions? One of the greatest acts of charity is to pray for the living and the dead, and the greatest and most powerful prayer we have is the Mass, since the fruits of the Mass are the very fruits of Jesus redemption. Fro that reason, all are encouraged to have Mass offered for loved ones who have died, or even for the living who have some need. This is an ancient Christian practice, and all are encouraged to take it up. Guidelines for Mass Intentions. A mass intention may be set for: 1. A deceased loved on (also called a memorial) 2. A living person who is sick or suffering 3. A living person who is celebrating a birthday, anniversary or other special moment in their life 4. In thanksgiving to God (including the Lord Jesus or the Holy Spirit) 5. In thanksgiving for a prayer from a Blessed or a Saint 6. For a prayer intention (so long as the intention doe not contradict Church teaching) If you are interested in having a Mass said or have questions please stop by the parish office or call 307-235-5535. 2

On December 5, 1989, Seton House was opened in Casper, Wyoming. It has grown from only three apartments used for emergency shelter to now 30 apartments, a learning center for children services, and a donation center. Today our mission is to provide transitional housing and support services to parents and their children who are homeless and facilitate independence towards selfsufficiency.
