We measure human s emotion quantitatively, analyze evaluation and apply them to various services in life, which are based on human technology. Therefore, we need the education which is related to emotion science to cultivate talented people. The goal of this paper is to suggest the possibility of emotion science education and effective methods through development of the STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) program which can teach emotion science to early elementary school students by applying it to pilot classes. For this study, first, we build a program, The mind made by figure for student of early elementary school. The method of STEAM was used in this program, because it is an effective system to educate the emotion science. We recognize the needs and value of this program development through theory and benchmarking of STEAM related to emotion science. And then the contents of class, activities, course book and kit are designed with elementary school textbook of pertinent grade. Secondly, we analyze the result which is applied in two pilot classes of second grade by satisfaction survey and teacher interview. As a result, the average of satisfaction level was very high (4.40/5), Class participation was especially high. Third, we discuss the ability, value and limits of this program based on the result of analysis. Key words: STEAM, Emotion Science, Education, Elementary School, Mind 요약감성이중요시되고있는시대가발전함에따라미래시대에필요한인재를양성하기위한교육분야에서도감성과학과관련된교육이요구되는시점이다. 본논문은초등학교저학년학생을위한감성과학을학습할수있는융합인재교육프로그램을개발하고수업에적용해봄으로써, 가능성과효과적인방법을제안하고자한다. 이를위하여첫째, 감성과학을교육하기에적합한융합인재교육 (STEAM) 방식을채택하여초등학교 1~2학년을대상으로한 도형으로만드는마음 을개발하였다. 감성과학관련 STEAM의이론적배경과벤치마킹을실시하고, 초등학교해당학년교과서를기반으로한구체적인수업내용과활동및교재와키트등을개발하였다. 둘째, 개발된프로그램을두학급에시범적으로적용하여만족도조사와교사인터뷰등을통해결과를분석하였다. 분석결과는전체만족도평균은매우높게 (4.40/5) 나왔으며특히, 수업참여도 에대한만족도가높은것으로분석되었다. 셋째, 분석결과를바탕으로개발한프로그램에대한가능성과가치, 한계점등을논한다. 본연구결과는과학에대한직접적인이해가어려운초등학교저학년을대상으로감성과학에대해쉽고흥미롭게접근할수있는교육프로그램이라할수있다. 이러한교육을통해감성과학을효과적으로이해하고, 감성중심시대를선도할인재를양성하는데도움이될것으로기대한다. 주제어 : 융합인재교육, 감성과학, 교육, 초등학교, 마음 1. 서론 미래학자다니엘핑크 (Daniel Pink) 가말한컨셉추얼 (Conceptual) 시대가도래함에따라좌뇌중심의이성적인활동보다우뇌를중심으로한감성적개념이더중요한시기가되었다. 의미, 공감, 조화, 스토리, 디자인, 놀이 등이중시되는감성과이와결합된휴먼테크놀로지가대두되고있으며, 앞으로도이와같은추세가지속될것이다. 또한인간의감성을정량적으로측정하고평가분석하여서비스와생활에적용하는감성공학, 감성인식, 인지과학등의분야가각광받고있다. 따라서, 인재양성을위한교육과정에도이와같은감성과학관련융합교육이필요한시점이다. 본연구는이러한관점에서감성과학의기본인감성분류와표현에관련한내용을기반을한융합인재교육 (STEAM) 프로그램을개발하는데목적이있다. 특히, 본연구에서는과학에대한직접적인이해가어려운초등학교저학년을대상으로감성과학에대해쉽고흥미롭게접근할수있는프로그램을개발하는데초점을맞추었다. 예술활동을통해자연스럽게시각적형태와색, 그리고감성어휘등 을결부시켜감성을분류해보고서로표현하며이해하는과정을도입하였다. 본프로그램개발과연구를위해다음과같이세단계의방법으로진행하였다. 첫째, 최근국내뿐만이아니라, 미국과일본등에서미래의인재양성을위해많이사용하고있는 STEAM에대한이론적배경과가치를연구한다. 둘째, 본연구에서개발한 도형으로만드는마음 이라는프로그램에대한개발과정과내용을제시한다. 초등학교 1~2학년을대상으로한구체적인수업목표및과정, 교과관련사항과활동키트까지구체적인개발내용을언급한다. 셋째, 개발된프로그램에대한시범적용을실시한다. 교사와의인터뷰및학생대상설문조사를통해결과를분석하여한계점과추후연구의고려사항을포함한결론을도출한다. 2. 융합인재교육 (STEAM) 과감성과학 STEAM은 과학기술에대한학생의흥미와이해를높이고과학기술의융합적사고력 (STEAM Literacy)

3 초등학교저학년학생을위한감성과학기반융합인재교육 (STEAM) 프로그램개발 81 과실생활문제해결력을배양하는교육 이다. 즉, 과학 (Science), 기술 (Technology), 공학 (Engineering), 예술 (Art), 수학 (Mathematics) 원리를기반으로실생활에서일어나는문제를학생스스로흥미를갖고해결할수있는방법을찾는교육에중점을두고있다 (KOFAC, 2017). 특히, 과학을중심으로타분야와의융합적관점에서 상황제시, 창의적설계, 성공의경험 이라는학습준거틀을기반으로한다. 예를들어초등학생을가르칠때과학이나미술의각전문분야교사가자신의분야를지향하는것보다는 STEAM 영역으로들어와두분야를균형있게수업을하는것이효과적이라할수있다 (Fulton & Simpson-Steele, 2016). 따라서, 본연구에서교육하고자하는감성과학은분야특성상과학과인문, 예술등의영역과의융합을전제로하기때문에이러한 STEAM 교육방식이적합하다고할수있다. 본연구에서초점을맞추고있는초등학교저학년대상프로그램은 STEAM의학습체계와가치를기반으로 예술활동을통해배우는뇌과학 이라는전체주제로초등학교, 중학교대상학년별로개발된총 5개프로그램중하나이다. 최근 4차산업혁명에서대두되고있는인공지능, 로봇기술, 생명과학, 빅데이터의기반이되는뇌과학에대한교육적관심이높아지고있다. 1999년부터미국과영국, 일본이주축이된 학습과학및뇌연구프로젝트 는뇌과학-교육융합연구로 OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development) 내 CERI (Centre for Educational Research and Innovation) 라는교육혁신기구에의해시작되었다. 이프로젝트의목적은교육과학과뇌연구가상호작용하여연구및정책을세우는데도움을주는것에있다. 또한, 뇌과학분야최대규모학자그룹인미국신경과학학회 (SFN) 에서도신경교육 (Neuro-education) 에관한신경과학-교육융합연구를본격화하고있다. 미국, 일본, 유럽등의선진국들은특히 국제마음 두뇌 교육협회 (International Mind, Brain & Education) 를통해협력연구를진행하고있다 (The Science Times, 2017). 이러한대주제아래초등학교저학년대상프로그램은감성과학의내용을기반으로개발하였다. 초등학교저학년교과과정에는 과학 과목이따로분리 되어있지않기때문에뇌과학내용을직접적으로다루는것보다는간접적으로경험하고자연스럽게익힐수있는내용과방법이필요하다. 그렇기때문에과학내용이포함되어있는 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울 교과에있는오감이나마음의내용과연관질수있는감성과학을주제로선정하였다. 3. 초등학교저학년대상 STEAM 프로그램개발 본연구는 예술활동을통해배우는뇌과학 이라는상위개념아래초등학교저학년을대상으로한 도형으로만드는마음 이라는 STEAM 프로그램을개발하였다 개발과정및범위 본 STEAM 프로그램은초등학교 1~2학년을대상으로하고있으며, 2015학년도개정교육과정과연계하는것을전제로하였다. 따라서, 초등학교 1~2학년 수학 교과와과학과미술을포함하고있는 봄, 여름, 가을, 겨울 교과를기반으로개발되었다. 총 3 차시로구성되어있으며, 실제학교에서차시대체로활용할수있도록개발하였다. 감성과학과관련하여뇌의구조나신경학적인직접적인접근보다는초등학교 1~2학년이친근하게느끼며접근하기쉽도록구성하기위해뇌가인지하는감성을 마음 이라는주제로선정하였다. 따라서, 본프로그램은인지력향상, 창의력향상, 정의적능력향상에따른감성과학이해의목표를 Table 1과같이정의한다. 개발과정은총 3단계로진행되었다. 첫번째구축단계에서는감성과학과관련된 STEAM 프로그램을벤치마킹하고현교과서와의연계를위한리서치및현직교사와의심층인터뷰를통해구성틀을마련하였다. 그리고, 각차시별구체적수업내용을개발하고교사용지도안, 학생용교재, 활동키트및수업자료를제작하였다. 두번째적용단계는개발된프로그램을실제초등학교수업에적용해보고학생과

The function and role of right brain and left brain - The person with developed left brain is logical in language, excellent analytical power and ability observation, so they have excellent ability to solve problems. In case of the person with developed right brain, they tend to be intuitive and free to imagine, and is excellent in artistic ability, and is good at identifying the whole part by seeing the part. We determined the horizontal axis as positive (pleasant)-negative (unpleasant), the vertical axis as high awakening state (awakening) - low awakening state (relaxation) to express the relations of 28 vocabularies. 7 초등학교저학년학생을위한감성과학기반융합인재교육 (STEAM) 프로그램개발 차시 : 마음분류하기 1차시는상황제시부분으로초등학교 2학년 수학 교과의 여러가지도형 단원과 분류하기 단원을이용하여감성을분류할수있다는것을학습한다. 에크만의 6가지기본감성을자연스럽게익힐수있도록초등학교저학년의수준에맞추어얼굴의감성을나타내는표정카드를제작하였다. 에크만의 6가지기본감성에따른얼굴표정이미지를보고전문일러스트작가가각감성별 2가지종류총 12가지그림을개발하였다. 제작후현직교사에게에크만이제시한이미지와의일치성및초등학생대상의적절성에대한검증을받았다. 수업시간내활용하는모양판은다양한형태와색감을사용할수있도록제작하였으며, 실제수업시간에는레이저커팅한것을제공하여학생들이쉽게사용할수있도록하였다 차시 : 오감과마음연결하기 2차시는창의적설계로초등학교 2학년 봄 교과의 오감놀이 단원을기반으로오감에따라느껴지는감성에대한이해와표현하기위한감성어휘에대한내용으로구성하였다. 감성어휘는각오감별로시각 13개, 청각 10개, 촉각 11개의후각 11개, 미각 10개의단어를추출하여 2차원축에배치한오감보드를사용하였다. 감성어휘포함한오감보드개발을위하여어휘수집, 오감어휘추출및분석, 오감어휘 2차원모델정의의세단계를진행하였다. 첫째, 어휘수집은한국어기반초등학교저학년의수준에맞는오감어휘로한정하였다. 수집자료는주로국립국어원의연구보고서인 초등학교교과서어휘조사연구-1(Kim, 2009) 를활용하였다. 이자료는 7차교육과정초등학교교과서 13개과목, 18종교과서총 127권의전체텍스트를분석한연구로써, 품사별어휘를분류하고초등학교학년별교과서에각어휘들이출현하는빈도를목록화한것이다. 초등학교 1, 2학년대상오감어휘정의를위해해당보고서의어휘데이터중초등학교 1,2학년교과서에나타난형용사 331개를수집하였다. 또한, 초등학교일기및독서노트자료로부터어휘를수집하였다. 초 등학교 1학년일기 115건, 2학년일기 41건, 2학년독서노트 6건을수집하여이에나타난형용사 95개를추출하였다. 둘째, 국립국어원연구보고서에서수집한 331개형용사중 크다, 작다, 깨끗하다, 예쁘다 등의감각관련형용사 106개를추출하고, 초등학교일기및독서노트의 95개형용사중 연하다, 흐릿하다 등의감각형용사 31개를추출하였다. 추출된총 137개어휘는카드소팅 (Card sorting) 방법을통해시각, 청각, 촉각, 후각, 미각의오감으로분류하였다. 시각, 촉각관련어휘가다수배치된것에비해청각, 후각, 미각어휘는미비하여, 고소하다, 맑다, 상큼하다 등의어휘 34개를추가하였다. 그결과시각 92개, 청각 15 개, 촉각 35개, 후각 11개, 미각 18개로분류되었다. 셋째초등학교저학년을대상으로한오감보드를제시하기위해러셉 (Russell) 의감성어휘 2차원그래프를구성하고자하였다. 이러한어휘 2차원그래프는정의된오감어휘를시각적으로제시할수있을뿐만아니라, 각어휘들의관계성을학습할수있는계기가될수있다. 2차원그래프에배치할각감각별어휘를최종적으로선정하기위해연구자중심의 FGD (Focus Group Discussion) 를실시하였다. 출현빈도가높은어휘, 초등학교교과서및일기, 독서노트에동일하게나타난어휘, 러셀 2차원그래프의긍정적인 ( 쾌 )-부정적인( 불쾌 ) 축과높은각성상태인 ( 각성 )-낮은각성상태인 ( 이완 ) 축에다양한위치로배치될수있는어휘를선별하였다. 최종적으로시각 13 개, 청각 10개, 촉각 11개, 후각 11개, 미각 10개의어휘를 Table 3과같이정의하였다. 각각의어휘들은해당어휘가지닌속성을기반으로, 유사한의미의어휘들은근접배치하고, 반의어또는관계성이낮은어휘들은멀리배치하는방식으로 2차원그래프에배치하였다. 최종 Fig. 2와같이오감보드판을제작하였다. 학생들이오감보드에있는감성어휘를소리내어읽으면서다양한감성표현단어를익힐수있다. 또한, 어휘와동일하게느껴지는감성을시각적형태와색채로연관지으면서공감각적능력을배양하고, 감성어휘모델에대해자연스러운접근이이루어진다.

The frequency analysis of satisfaction Item Q 1 Q_2 Q_3 Q_4 Q_5 Q_6 Q_7 Q_8 Q_9 N Average Lieutenant Item Q_10 Q_11 Q_12 Q_13 Q_14 Q_15 Q_16 Q_17 Q_18 N Average Lieutenant 수업은해당반의담임교사가수업전사전교육을통해프로그램내용에대해충분히숙지한후직접진행하였다. 또한, 키트와활동자료및설문지배포와인터뷰를진행할연구원이수업에참석하였다 적용결과분석 적용결과분석은크게설문통계분석을통한정량분석과인터뷰및에스노그라피를통한정성분석으로이루어졌다. 정량분석은 3차시까지의수업이진행된후학생대상만족도설문조사를실시하였다. 만족도검사지는한국과학창의재단에서제공한설문지를사용했으며, 총 18개문항으로구성되어있다. 전체만족도는 52명대상중결측지를제거하고, 총 47개샘플로빈도분석을실시하였다. 전체평균 4.40에각문항에대한만족도는 Table 4와같이높은결과를얻었다. 구체적인분석을위해설문지문항을기반으로만족도요인을추출하였다. 앞서언급한전체 예술활동을통해배우는뇌과학 이라는주제아래개발된프로그램총 5개에대한시범적용후조사한총 428개의샘플로통계분석하였다. 주성분분석을통해 의신뢰도기반 Table 5와같이총 4개의요인으로분류되었다. 4개의요인은순서대로 수업참여도, 수업내용이해도, 수업흥미도, 관련직업관심도 로명명하였다. STEAM의궁극적인목적인융합교육에대해서도초등학교저학년에감성을과학적으로생각해볼수있는계기를마련하고, 미술활동을통해자연스럽게감성을배울수있는수업이라는피드백을받았다. 감성과학적측면에서는감성어휘에대해이미제시한단어를읽는것이아니라, 학생들이직접단어를생각하고찾아서쓰는활동에대한제안도있었다. 또한, 3차시에서자신의감성을구체적으로설명하는것에대해학생들간에커뮤니케이션하는데어려움이있어자세한매뉴얼보완이필요하다는의견이있었다. 5. 결론및논의 첫째, 감성과학과관련된내용을 STEAM 프로그램으로개발할수있었다. 본연구에서초점을맞춘초등학교저학년학생들에게적합한 마음 이라는주제로감성과학의작용원리와오감인식, 감성분류, 감성어휘, 감성표현등의이론을 STEAM 교육방식에기반하여효과적으로설계되었다. 둘째, 초등학교저학년학생들에게만족도가높고, 특히 수업참여도 부분이높게평가되어융합적교육에효과가좋은프로그램으로평가받았다. 이는실제수업에활용가치가크고, 감성과학을초등학교저학년에까지교육할수있는가능성을보여준다. 셋째, 본프로그램은차시대체를위한 3차시로구성 이되었기때문에수업전과후의효과를측정하거나감성과학에대해깊이있는내용을교육하기에는한계가있었다. 그러나해당학년의교과와연계할수있는감성과학관련내용이다수있기때문에추후더많은차시를개발하거나, 타학년까지확장할수있는가능성을볼수있었다. 본연구에서개발한프로그램이미래를선도할수있는인재를양성하고, 감성과학에대한인식과지식을함양할수있는효과적인교육으로활용될수있을것이다.
