In this work, CdSe/ZnS QDs nanobeads were prepared by the incorporation of CdSe/ZnS QDs with mesoporous silica to use as the optical probe for detecting toxic and bio- materials with high sensitivity, CdSe/ZnS core/shell QDs were synthesized from the precursors such as CdO and zinc stearate with the lower toxicity than pyrotic precursors. The QD-nanobeads were characterized by transmission electron microscopy, FL microscopy, UV-Vis and PL spectroscopy, respectively. TEM micrographs of CdSe(a) and CdSe/ZnS core/ shell(b) quantum dots. 조의 CdSe/ZnS 양자점의 광특성, 입자 형태 및 크기를 조 사하기 위하여 각각 UV-vis absorption 스펙트럼, 형광 스 펙트럼, TEM 분석을 실시하였다. Fig. 1의 UV-vis 흡수 스펙트럼과 형광 스펙트럼에서 관찰되는 것처럼, CdSe/ ZnS 나노입자의 흡수 피크와 발광 피크가 CdSe 나노입 자의 것과 비교하여 볼 때, 발광스펙트럼의 피크의 중심 파장이 547 nm에서 550 nm로 중심파장이 3 nm 정도 redshift하는 것을 볼 수 있다. 이러한 현상은 CdSe core위에 ZnS가 shell의 형성으로 입자크기가 증가하였다는 것을 의 미한다. 그리고 Fig. 2에서의 TEM 사진을 통하여 입 자 크기를 대략적으로 비교해 본 결과 CdSe/ZnS 나노입 자가 CdSe 나노입자보다 더 크며, 이러한 결과 또한 CdSe/ ZnS core/shell 형태의 양자점이 잘 형성되었다는 것을 간 접적으로 제시해준다. 이렇게 제조된 CdSe/ZnS 양자점의 형광 양자 수율을 기준물질로 odamine 6G를 이용하여 구하였다. Fig. 3은 제조된 양자점과 odamine 6G의 UVvis absorption 스펙트럼과 형광 스펙트럼을 측정한 후에 얻은 흡광도와 형광스펙트럼의 면적 값으로부터 구한 기 울기 값을 보여주는 것이다. 이로부터CdSe/ZnS core/shell 나노입자의 형광 양자 수율은 다음 식 (1)로부터 얻을 수 있다. 10,11) camera, a broad band UV source, and a long pass interference filter)를 사용하여 관찰하였으며, 유기물질 및 반응 분석을 위해 UV-vis spectrometer 및 I spectrometer 를 사용하였다. 3. 결과 및 고찰 3.1. CdSe/ZnS core/shell 양자점의 형상 및 광특성 CdSe와 CdSe/ZnS core/shell 나노입자를 비교 분석하기 위해 쉘 성분인 ZnS가 3-monolayer를 갖는 CdSe/ZnS core/shell 형태의 양자점을 제조하였다. 합성한 코어-쉘 구 Fig. 3. Q = Q (m/m )(n /n ) 2 2 (1) 여기서, Q는 형광양자 수율, m은 UV-vis spectrometer의 흡광 강도 대비 PL spectrometer로부터 얻은 형광 스펙트 럼의 면적에 대한 기울기 값, n은 용매의 굴절율이고, 아 래첨자 은 reference 물질을 나타낸다. 이로부터 기준물 질로 사용 되어진 odamine 6G (형광수율: 0.95)와 양자 점 나노입자의 흡광도 대비 형광강도의 기울기인 m과 m 을 구한 후, 양자점 나노입자의 양자수율을 계산하면 약 40%가 됨을 알 수 있다. 기준 물질인 odamine 6G는 에 탄올 (굴절율 n : ) 용액을 이용하였고 양자점은 톨 루엔 (굴절율 : )에 분산하여 형광수율을 측정하였다. 구형의 메조포러스 실리카의 합성 메조기공을 가지는 입자는 촉매, 약물 방출용 모재, 센 서, 분리용 충진제, photonic 크리스탈 등의 모재로서 다 양하게 이용되고 있어 많은 관심을 받고 연구가 수행 되 고 있다. Mobile사의 연구진들이 메조포러스 입자에 대한 연구결과를 발표한 이래, 규칙적으로 배열된 이러한 입자 를 제조하기 위한 다양한 방법들이 연구되어 왔고, 그 중 에 가장 많이 이용되는 것이 액상에서 자기조립구조의 계 한국세라믹학회지 3.2. 면활성제 템플레이트를 사용하여 제조하는 방법이다. 메 조포러스 물질의 합성에서 계면활성제의 집합체인 미셀 (micelle)을 템플레이트 물질로 사용하고, 이러한 계면활 성제 미셀과 실리카 프리커서의 정전기적 인력 및 분자 사이의 분산력으로 분자집합체를 통해 합성한다. 일반적으로 구형의 메조포러스 실리카 안에 다량의 양 자점을 고밀도화하기 용이하도록 하기 위해서는 입자 크 기, morphology, 기공 크기를 제어하기 위해, 반응물의 조 성(계면활성제 종류 및 소수성 사슬의 길이, 팽윤제 등), 반응조건(온도, 반응시간, 교반조건 등) 및 표면 처리 등 에 대한 최적화가 필요하다. 이를 통해 다량의 양자점이 용이하게 고밀도화 될 수 있는 3~5 µm의 구형 메조포러 스 실리카의 제조가 가능하다. 특히, 양자점 고밀도화가 용이하도록 양자점 평균 직경보다 4배 이상 큰 20~30 nm 의 기공크기를 갖는 구형의 메조포러스 실리카 합성을 목 표로 다양한 합성이 시도되었다. Fig. 4에서 보는 것처럼, i) 팽윤제 및 템플레이트 투입량의 비가 1 이상이고, ii) 입 자형성 시 입자 간의 응집이 일어나지 못하도록 강력한 교반, iii) 실리카 프리커서인 TEOS 반응이 천천히 일어나 도록 유도하기 위해 산 촉매인 HCl 양의 감소, 반응 온 12-14)
