Tongyeong Concert Hall Job Opening: Chief Executive Officer, Tongyeong Concert Hall April 11, 2013 / Tongyeong City Public Announcement No. 2013-421 Tongyeong City and Tongyeong Interntional Music Festival Foundation seeks highly committed and capable Chief Executive Officer of the Tongyeong Concert Hall, Tongyeong, the Republic of Korea, who has creative planning skills, management experience, and global acumen and leadership. Tongyeong City, situated at the southernmost part of the Republic of Korea, is known as scenic spot which attracts 1 million visitors each year. It boasts the longest cable car ride in Korea and is also a leading center for marine produce. More importantly, it is the birthplace of composer Isang Yun, and the home of the annual Tongyeong International Music Festival. Tongyeong International Music Festival, TIMF, is Korea s decade-experienced music festival, within a scope of contemporary music and creative performing arts. With a view to commemorating Isang Yun, TIMF has presented annual music festival in spring, along with international music competition and educational academy programs. The City is currently served by Tongyeong Arts Center comprising 2 venues of 880 seats and 290 seats, and Isang Yun Memorial with a hall for 100 seats. This fast growing and dynamic city has embarked on building a new Concert Hall, comprising a concert hall of 1,300 seats, and a multiuse fully flexible black-box theater for up to 300 seats, with ample backstage workspace, and rehearsal facilities as well as generous public spaces. Tongyeong Concert Hall <1> Job Title and Description Job Title: Chief Executive Officer, Tongyeong Concert Hall Stationed Organization: Tongyeong Concert Hall Duty Station: Donam 1, Tongyeong, Gyeongnam, the Republic of Korea Contract Period: 3 years from January 2014, renewable thereafter by mutual agreement Application Due: June 30, 2013 Reviewing Application and Interview: July, 2013 (1) Responsibilities of the CEO of the Tongyeong Concert Hall - The CEO oversees all aspects of operations and management of the concert hall. - The CEO sets rigorous management standards of planning, and oversees best quality performance within means of given budget. - The CEO provides leadership for personnel and creates efficient and productive workplace environments. - The CEO plans creative profit-generating business within the boundaries of laws to optimize revenues of the concert hall. - The CEO sets global standards in management and connects the concert hall with international networks, under guidance of the International Committee. - The CEO provides all necessary supports for Tongyeong International Music Festival, ISANGYUN Competition, TIMF Academy and Ensemble TIMF.
