2 THE KOREAN LITURGY The Korean liturgy, after many years of study and preparation was finally approved by the Synod of the Diocese of Korea on the 6th May 1938, and became the sole use of the diocese by the bishop's order as from the 1st February No English version of the definitive form of the Korean liturgy has ever been published, though it has long been desired for students of Anglican liturgy as well as for visitors to the diocese. This authorized English version is based on the 1960 edition of the Book of Common Prayer of the Anglican Church in Korea. It does not contain the rubrics concerning the manual acts of the celebrant during the Prayer of Consecration which were published in the altar missal of 한국 미사 대한 성공회 미사 예전은 여러 해 동안의 연 구와 준비로 마침내 한국 교구 의회가 1938년 5월 6일에 찬성한 후에 당시 주교의 지시에 의하여 1939년 2원 1일부터 대한 성공회의 유일한 미사 예문으로 사용하게 되었다. 성공회 예전을 연구하는 학자들과 한국 교구 를 방문하는 이들이 오래 동안 대한 성공회 미사 예문의 결정적인 본문의 영역을 희구하 여 왔지만, 아직껏 발표하지 못하였었다. 이제 주교의 인가로 발표하는 영역은 대한 성 공회 공도문 1960년 판을 기준으로 삼고 출판 하는 것이다. 사제가 축성경 중에 손을 사용하 는 방법에 대한 해설은 '1939년 판 제대용 경 본에 기재되었지만, 본 책에서 실리지 않았다. This English form of the Korean liturgy may be used for celebrations of the Holy Eucharist in the churches of the diocese where there are English-speaking congregations. The priest, standing before the altar with the assistants, says; 예비 기도 중에 찬미나 성시를 사용할 수 있 음. 사제가 제단 앞에 서서 복사와 같이 말하 되: (Priest) In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen. I will go unto the altar of God. (Assistants) Even unto the God of my joy and gladness. (사제) + 성부와 성자와 성신의 이름으로 하나이다. 아멘. 내가 천주의 제단에 이르매, (복사) 나의 극락이신 천주께 나아가리이다. In masses of the dead, and from Passion Sunday to Holy Saturday, the following psalm and the repetition of the antiphon are omitted. Therefore I beg blessed Mary, all the saints, and thee, father, to pray to God for me. (Priest) Almighty God, have mercy upon you, forgive you all your sins, and bring you to everlasting life. (Assistants) Amen. (They become erect) (Priest) The almighty and merciful God grant us pardon, absolution and remission of all our sins. (Assistants) Amen. If incense is used, the priest now blesses it, saying: Lord, bless this incense which is offered for the honour of thy name. 유향이 있으면, 이제 사제가 축복하며 말하기 를: 주의 이름을 공경하기 위하여 드리는 이 유향을 + 축복하소서. When the English language is used tha priest may here say: Hear what our Lord Jesus Christ saith: Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the Law and the prophets. GLORIA IN EXELELSIS 영광송 Except for the Sundays of Advent and all the Sundays from Septuagesima to Palm Sunday inclusive, the Gloria is said on all Sundays and feasts. It is also said daily from Christmas Day to the 13th January inclusive, and from the first mass of Easter until the Feast of the Holy Trinity (except in the Rogation masses). 장림절에 있는 모든 주일과 칠순 주일부터 성 지 주일까지의 모든 주일 외에는, 모든 주일과 첨례에 외움. 또는 성탄부터 1월 13일까지와 부활 첫 미사부터 성삼 주일까지(공도재 미사 제외하고) 외움. Thou that takest away the sins of the world, receive our prayer. Thou that sittest at the right hand of God the Father, have mercy upon us. For thou only art Holy. Thou only art the Lord. Thou only, O Christ, with the Holy Ghost, art most high in the glory of God the Father. Amen. PREPARATION FOR THE GOSPEL After the epistle a psalm or hymn may be sung. If incense is used, the priest now blesses it as before. (or: Almighty God, who did cleanse the lip., of the prophet Isaiah with a live coal, cleanse thy heart and thy lips, that thou mayest worthily proclaim his holy Gospel.) THE NICENE CREED The Creed is said on all Sundays and red-letter feasts, during greater octaves, and on all feasts of doctors of the Church. Amen. 한 성세로 죄 사함을 얻는 줄을 알며, 죽은 자 다시 살기를 바라며, 후세 + 영생을 바라나이 다. 아멘. 3 THE EUCHARISTIC OFFERING 3 감사의 제사 THE OFFERTORY Before the offertory the priest stands in the midst of the altar, and turning to the people, says: (Priest) The Lord be with you. (People) And with thy spirit. 봉헌례 봉헌례 전에 사제가 제단 중앙에 서서 회중을 향하여 가로되 (사제) 주 교우와 같이 계시지이다. (회중) 주 또한 사제 마음에 계시지이다. During the offertory a psalm or hymn may be sung. Here the offerings of the people are collected and the bread and wine are prepared. 봉헌례 동안 성시나 찬미를 노래할 수 있음. 이제 봉헌금을 거두고, 면병과 포도주를 예비 함. Offering the bread, the priest says: Receive, O holy Father, almighty and everlasting God, this bread which I thine unworthy servant offer unto thee, the living and true God, for my numberless sins and negligences, for all who stand around, and for the living and departed: that it may avail to us for salvation unto life eternal. Amen. 사제가 면병을 봉헌하며 사사로이 이르되: 전능하시고 무시무종하신 천주 성부여, 나의 무수한 죄와 태만을 위하고. 여기 모인 회중을 위하고, 산 이와 죽은 이를 위하여, 주의 합당 치 않는 종 내가 살아 계신 참 천주께 드리는 이 면병을 받으사, 우리로 하여금 구원과 영생 을 얻게 하소서. 아멘. He blesses the water which is to be mixed with the wine, saying: (In masses of the dead he does not make the sign of the cross) 사제가 물을 포도주에 넣기 전에 축복하며 이 르되: (별세 미사에는 십자를 그리지 아니함) Grant, O God, that by the mystery of this water and wine we may be sharers of his divinity, who vouchsafed to be made partaker of our humanity, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. + 천주여, 이 포도주와 물의 오묘한 것으로 말미암아 우리로 하여금 인성을 취하실 오주 예수 그리스도의 천성에 참예케 하소서. 아멘.

12 Offering the chalice of wine, he says: We offer unto thee, O Lord, the cup of salvation, humbly beseeching thy mercy: that it may ascend before thee as a sweet-smelling savour for our salvation, and for that of the whole world. Amen. 포도주를 넣은 성작을 들며 이르되: 주여, 구원의 잔을 드리오니, 인자하심을 베푸 사, 우리와 온 세상의 구원을 위하여 이 잔이 주 앞에 향기롭게 상달케 하소서. 아멘. Bowing slightly, he says: In a humble spirit, and with a contrite heart, may we be accepted of thee, 0 Lord : and let our sacrifice be pleasing unto thee. Amen. 몸을 굽히고 이르되: 오주 천주여, 이제 우리가 겸손하고 통회하는 마음으로 주 앞에 나 아가게 하시고, 또한 우 리의 제사가 주의 즐기시는 바 되게 하소서. 아멘. Standing erect, he says: Come, O almighty eternal God, the source of holiness: and bless this sacrifice prepared for thy holy name. 몸을 일으키며, 이르되: 전능하시고, 영생하시고, 거룩함의 근원이신 천주여, 임하사, 주의 성명을 위하여 예비한 이 제물을 축복하소서. If incense is used, the priest blesses it saying: Hear, 0 Lord, the intercession of the angels and archangels, and bless this incense, that it may ascend before thee as a sweet-smelling savour. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 유향을 쓰면, 사제가 축복하며 이르되: 주여, 모든 천신과 대천신이 우리를 위하여 기 구함을 들으시고, 이 유향을 축복하사, 주 앞 에 향기롭게 상달케 하소서. 이는 오주 예수 그리스도를 인하여 구하옵나이다. 아멘. While washing his hands, the priest says: (Psalm 26. 6) I will wash my hands in innocency, 0 Lord, and so will I go about thine altar, that I may shew the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all thy wondrous works. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost: as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. (In masses of the dead and during Passiontide Glory be is omitted). 사제가 손 씻으며 이르되: (성시 제 26편 6절) 주여, 내가 손을 씻어, 무죄함을 보이고, 주의 제단에 두루 다니리이다. 내가 감사의 소리를 높이고, 주의 기이한 일을 다 전하리이다. 영광이 성부와 성자와 성신께, 처음과 같이 또 한 이제와 항상 무궁세에 있어지이다. 아멘. 13 Bowing slightly in the midst of the altar, the priest says: Receive, 0 Holy Trinity, this oblation which we offer unto thee in memory of the passion, resurrection, and ascension of our Lord Jesus Christ, and in honour of blessed Mary and all the saints: and may they, whose memory we celebrate on earth, vouchsafe to intercede for Us in heaven. Through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. 사제가 제단 중앙에 돌아가, 몸을 굽히며 이르 되. 거룩하신 삼위일체 천주여, 이제 우리가 오주 예수 그리스도의 수난 하시고 부활하시고 승 천하심을 기념하고, 또한 유복하신 마리아와 모든 성인들을 기념하여 드리는 이 제물을 받 으소서. 또한 우리가 땅에서 제사를 드리며 기 념하는 성인들이 하늘에서 우리를 위하여 기 구하게 하소서. 이는 오주 예수 그리스도를 인 하여 구하옵나이다. 아멘. Almighty and everliving God, who hast taught us to make prayers and supplications and to give thanks for all men: we humbly beseech thee to receive these our prayers which we offer unto thy divine majesty, beseeching thee to inspire continually the universal Church with the spirit of truth, unity, and concord; and grant, that all they that do confess thy holy Name may agree in the truth of thy holy word, and live in unity and godly love. Who with the same Father and the Holy Ghost livest and reignest God world without end.
