Text 3B Diary entry 이번 아시아 여행은 정말 재미있겠다. 내 친구들 모두 다 가고 싶어하고 친구들 부모님들도 허락해 줄 텐데. 이번 여행에 대해서 엄마한테 말씀드리면 엄마가 어떻게 반응 할 지 걱정이다. 내 생각에는 아주 재미있을 것 같다. 내 생각을 잘 말해서 엄마를 설득시켜야 되겠다. 나도 정말 가고 싶다. 한국에 할아버지 할머니를 보러 갔지만 그 땐 너무 어려서 기억이 안 난다. 그 이후로는 간 적이 없어서 기억이 안 난다. 할머니 할아버지는 돌아가셨지만 한번도 만나보지 못한 사촌들이 있다. 여행을 간다면 한국어도 늘릴 수 있고 새로운 친구도 만날 수 있는 좋은 기회인데. 요즘은 공부때문에 너무 바빠서 친구들과 어울릴 시간도 없다. 학원을 2 주나 빠지는데 엄마가 허락을 안 해 주실게 당연하니 기대를 많이 안 하는게 좋을 것 같다. 엄마는 내가 학교에서 공부를 잘 하기를 원하시고, 좋은 직업을 갖기를 원하셔서 너무 많은 압력을 주신다. 학원에다 돈도 많이 내신다. 엄마가 언제즈음 내가 학교공부에 관심도 없고 공부도 못하는 걸 이해해주실까? 사실 나는 공부보다는 호텔업종에서 일하고 싶다. 왜냐하면, 흥콩과 일본은 호텔서비스와 음식산업이 세계에서 제일이다. 그래서 이번 여행이 나에게는 좋은 경험이 될 것 같다. 정말 가고 싶지만, 엄마가 내 말을 안들어 주실 것 같다. 이메일을 써서 엄마를 설득시켜야 겠다. Question 4 (9 marks) READ Text 4 and then answer the question that follows. Text 4 Diary entries of a Korean Australian 다음의 글은 한국에서 태어났지만 호주에서 오래 살다가 한국으로 다시 돌아 가서 일을 하는 사람의 일기 중 세개 입니다. 4 월 9 일 목요일 오늘도 부장님은 여전히 반말을 하신다. 회의장에서도 마찬가지시다. 아무리 부장님이 나이가 많다고 해도 일하는 직장은 당연히 직장이니 나이가 어려도 반말은 해서는 안 되는 것 아닌가? 회의 중에는 모두가 존대말을 쓰자고 제안을 했다. 회의 분위기가 조금 이상해졌다. 또한 회의 중에 내가 좋은 아이디어를 냈다. 그런데 나중에 그 아이디어로 부장님이 사장님한테 칭찬을 받았다고 한다. 또한 퇴근은 5 시에 한다고 해서, 그렇게 했다. 부장님과 회사에 남아 있는 동료들이 이상한 눈으로 나를 쳐다 보는 것이었다. 그리고 점심시간에는 난 가끔 햄버거도 혼자가서 먹고 싶은데 왜 다같이 식당에 가자고 하는지, 가면 왜 똑같은 메뉴를 시키라고 강요 하는 건지 모르겠다. 그래도 한국에서는 외식비는 참 싸다. 5 월 1 일 금요일 오늘은 친구랑 영화를 같이 보러 가기로 약속을 했는데, 회식이 있다고 한다. 다같이 고기집에서 밥을 먹는다고 하니 밥만 빨리 먹고 친구를 만나면 되겠다고 생각했다. 그런데 고기집에서 부장님이 술을 권하시는 거다. 난 술도 잘 못 마시는데 다들 마셔야 된다고 해서 마셨더니, 이번엔 과장님이 술을 따라 주시는 거다. 속도 쓰리고 정말 마시기 싫어서 거절했다. 친구랑 약속이 있다고 했는데도 끝까지 같이 2 차를 가야 된다고 하신다. 한국에서는 다들 그렇게 하는 거라고 하신다. 왜 그렇게 해야하지? 6 월 12 일 토요일 다음주 토요일에 친구들하고 등산을 가기로 했다. 그런데 한 동료가 다음주 일요일이 부장님 딸 결혼식이라고 하고 다음주 토요일은 과장님 집들이라고 한다. 다음주 토요일에 다른 약속이 있다고 집들이를 안 간다고 했다. 그런데 그 동료가 집들이도 결혼식도 꼭 가야 되고 집들이로 돈을 5 만원씩 거두기로 했다는 것이다. 결혼식에서도 돈을 줘야 된다고 했다. 내가 내고 싶은면 돈을 내야지 왜 강요를 하는 거지?
