Summary of research 2012-2015년 3년에걸쳐한국어와, 한국문화강좌그리고한국학수료증코스가개설되어발전하고있습니다. 문과대학에아시아학부가없어서한국학이소개되어아시아학발전의토대를마련했습니다. 또한아시아학석사과정은한국학이소개된문과대학에서맡아서하기로대학측에서결정을했고강의개설이곧승인될것입니다. 이석사과정에한국학부분은, 대학교의국제학센터에서지난 3년간한국학씨앗형사업의일환으로한국학수료증코스를개설해운영해온교수진이용이하게강의를담당할수있습니다. 대학교에서는아시아학의지속적인발전을위해씨앗형사업이끝나는시점에서, 한국학강사공개채용공고를냈고, 지원자들중한명이심사위원회를통해선정되었습니다. 그런데, 공개채용의조건에 3년간스페인정부에세금을냈어야하는조건의 4개월이미만되어, 그조건이충족되는 2015년 2월이후에채용하기로결정했습니다. ( 이사항에대해서는문과대학학장님의설명서를첨부합니다 ) 대학에아시아학센터나아시아학과가개설되어있지않은조건에서한국학과가개설되려면아직좀더많은노력과시간이필요합니다. 이러한상황은대학측에서도잘인지하고있고, 한편아시아학발전에큰관심과열성이있어, 부총장님과문과대학학장님이이사안을의논을한결과, 다음학기부터는한국어를문과대학의과목으로만국한하지않고, 모든단과대학학생들이한국어를선택과목으로채택할수있도록하는방법을채택했습니다. 현재는문과대학에서 1학년에한해서한국어 1과 2를제 2 외국어로선택할수있습니다. 이것은여러전공분야의학생들이한국에관심을가질수있게하고, 한국유학을유도할수있는기회가될것입니다. 꼼풀루텐세대학교의씨앗형사업목적이었던한국학강의신설은지난 3년에걸쳐, 그목적을달성했고, 아시아학부개설의필요성을인지시켜대학의아시아학부개설에박차를가할수있도록유도했으며, 그결과장래에한국학과가개설될수있을것입니다. 2. Expected effects 2016-2017년학기부터꼼풀루텐세대학교모든단과대학학생들이한국어를선택과목으로채택할수있게됩니다. 그결과로여러전공과목의학생들이한국대학교들에교환학생으로갈수있고, 유학의기회를폭넓게제공하게됩니다. 대학의아시아학부개설에박차를가하게되고한국학과가생길수있습니다. 국제학센터의한국학수료증코스의발전으로학생, 전문인그리고한국에관심이있는모든사람들이대학에서한국학으로수료증을받을수있습니다. 국제학센터에서는앞으로해마다우수논문들을선정해논문집으로발표하게됩니다. 3. Methods of utilization of the research results 문과대학에지난 3 년에걸쳐학부의일학년과정에한국어 1 과 2 의강의가소개되었습니다. 첫해에문과대학의석사과정에한국문학한과목이소개되었습니다. 그러나학부과정에한국학이없고, 한국어도 1 과 2 밖에없어한국어와한국문화전반에대한지식이부족한상황이어서크게고무된과목이못되었습니다. 그경험을바탕으로, 2,3 년째는학부의비교문학과 2 학년학생들에게한국문화와문학의한과목이필수과목으로선정되어강의를했습니다. 이과목은좋은반응을얻었고계속이어질수있을것입니다. 2

Name Director Abstract of Results Implementation of Korean Studies at the University of Complutense Madrid (UCM) Dámaso López Garcia 1. Summary of research Throughout the years of 2012-2015, Korean language and culture classes and a course of Diploma in Korean Studies have been offered and developed at the UCM. At the Faculty of Philology, where there is neither a center nor a department of Asian Studies, the introduction of Korean studies laid the foundation for the Asian Studies at the UCM. Also, the master s program of Asian Studies initially presented at the Faculty of Political Science moved to Faculty of Philology where Korean and Chinese studies classes are offered (Chinese studies entered one year after the Korean Studies was introduced). The Diploma course in Korean Studies in ICEI (Complutense, part of the Incubation Program of KSPS, is making good progress and once the Master of Asian Studies is approved by the Ministry of Education, part of the Korean program can be smoothly incorporated into it as it is currently operating with nine Korean Studies experts in the country. The University, at the time of the termination of the Incubation Program between UCM and KSPS, opened a job offer for a Korean instructor for the sustainable development in Korean Studies. One of the candidates was chosen through a screening committee, however the applicant lacks 4 months out of 3 years of income tax payments which the Spanish government put as a condition for this position. The university will hire the applicant when the condition is met in February of 2016. (Please, find attached the letter of the Dean of the Faculty of Philology). More time and effort is required for the establishment of Korean Studies in the UCM considering the current situation: that it has not yet established a Center for Asian Studies nor there is any Korean Studies Department. This situation is acknowledges by the university, on the other hand there is great interest and enthusiasm in Asian Studies to be developed therefore, the Vice President and Dean of the Faculty of Philology met and they have decided to offer Korean language courses from the next semester not only in the Faculty of Philology but open to all faculties as an elective subject. In this way, many students from a variety of faculties can have the opportunity to learn Korean, which in turn will increase interests in Korea which will generate more exchange of students between the two countries. Until now, Korean 1 and 2 were offered in the first grade of Philology as a second language. The objective of the Incubation Program, opening the Korean Studies Lecture in UCM, has been accomplished and the university well recognized its need for Asian Studies especially Korean Studies and there is a strong hope that in the near future, students of the UCM can obtain a degree of Korean Studies. 2. Expected effects Starting with the 2016-2017 academic year, students in the UCM will be able to choose the Korean language as an elective subject. Students of different majors can learn Korean and this in turn will provide broad opportunities for studying in Korea. The University has spurred the opening of Asian Studies and is expected to exchange students. In the Diploma course of Korean Studies at the ICEI, numbers of students, professionals and those interested in Korea will increase. On the other hand, counting from this year, the ICEI will publish a working paper from the best papers written by the participants each year. 3. Methods of utilizing the research results The subjects of Korean 1 and 2 in the first grade of the undergraduate was introduced over the last three years. The Korean Literature subject has been introduced in the first year of the Agreement in a Master in Literature course. However, the subject was not received enthusiastically because there was no previous knowledge of Korea in general from the undergraduate studies where only Korean 1 and 2 were offered. Based on this experience, in the 2 nd and 3rd year of the Agreement, the Korean culture and literature subject was offered for 2 nd grade students of a comparative literature studies as a compulsory lecture. Through this subject, students could learn about Korea and Korean literature in general. 4. Key words 3

Ⅱ. Final Report 4 년전마드리드에한국문화원이생기기전에한국문화와한국학보급을위한봉사를하다보니, 8 년전꼼풀루텐세대학교의언어센터에서한국어를가르칠수있는기회가주어졌고, 지난 3 년전, 2012 년에는한국학중앙연구원의해외한국학씨앗형사업일환으로마드리드국립꼼풀루텐세대학에한국학이소개되어그동안한국어와, 한국문화강좌그리고한국학수료증코스를개설해씨앗형사업의목적을단계적으로이루었습니다. 스페인에서가장큰대학이지만그동안아시아학이소개되지못했고씨앗형사업을시작한문과대학에는아시아학부는물론아시아언어수업조차없는상황이었는데한국학이들어가아시아학발전의토대를마련하게되었습니다. 한국어와한국문화과목이개설되자, 그여파로지난 2 년전부터중국어과목의강좌도시작되었고아주빠른속도로발전이되고있습니다. 처음정치학단과대학에서계획했던아시아학석사과정강의개설이무산될시점에한국학이소개된문과대학에서동석사과정강의개설을정부에신청했고곧인가가날상황입니다. 문과대학에아시아학석사과정이개설되면, 대학교의국제학센터에서지난 3 년간한국학중앙연구원씨앗형사업의일환으로한국학수료증코스를개설운영해온경험과, 교수진으로동석사과정의한국학부분은용이하게강의를담당하게될것입니다. 지난 3 년간, 한국학의중요성을인식시키기위해성의껏노력을해왔습니다. 다른단과대학들에서의컨퍼런스및수업그리고대학의많은교수님들과의교류, 문화행사참여, 인터뷰, 그리고논문등을발표했습니다. 올 4 월부로그동안문과대학학장이자프로젝트디렉터로한국학을적극적으로밀어주셨던 Dámaso López Garcia 의임기가만료되어새로운분이문과대학학장직을맡게되었습니다. 다행히새로운문과대학학장님께서한국정부초청으로 1 주일간한국을방문하고돌아오셨는데, 한국에대한아주긍정적이미지와더불어역시한국학을적극적으로옹호하게되셨습니다. 올해, 씨앗형사업이끝나는시점에서한국학중앙연구원의협조에감사하고, 한국학의중요성을인식, 대학교의부총장님과문과대학학장님께서는한국어와한국문화수업을계속발전시키기로결정, 한국어강사채용을공고했고지원자들에대한심사위원회를열었습니다. 그중동대학에서문학박사학위를받은분이채택되었는데, 국립대학공개채용의조건에 3 년간스페인정부에세금을냈어야하는조건의 4 개월이불충분해, 그조건이충족되는 2016 년 2 월이후에채용하기로결정했습니다. 이사안은저와채용결정이된강사가문과대학학장님과의긴밀한협조아래이번봄에제출되는학과목선정리스트와강의시간등을확실히받아내어수업을계속하도록할것입니다. 3 년간의씨앗형사업은이제끝이났지만, 대학의한국학발전에대한정보는공식적인서류가아니더라도계속보내드릴것입니다. ( 현재제가속해있는 Autonomous 대학과 Complutense 대학은스페인마드리드의한국학발전을위해함께노력할것입니다 ) 8
처음에한국학이 Complutense 소개되었을때, 많은중년세대의교수님들이나대학의관리부에서는왜중국학이나일본학도아닌한국학이대학에들어와야하는지의아해했습니다. 특히 complutense 대학은생각보다훨씬크고, 관료적이어서새로운학과목의소개와발전에좀더보수적입니다. 특히대학교에아시아학센터나다른아시아학과가이미신설되어있는상황도아니어서, 한국학보급의시발로아시아학과가신설되는데는좀더많은노력과시간이필요합니다. 다행히이러한조건을부총장님과문과대학학장님께서잘인지하셔서이에대한논의를하셨고, 그회의결정으로, 다음학기부터는한국어를문과대학에국한하지않고, 모든단과대학학생들이한국어를선택과목으로채택할수있도록하는방법을채택했습니다. 그리고한국학은앞으로한국학과가생기기전까지는아랍학부로편입하게될것입니다. 현재는문과대학에서 1 학년에한해서한국어 1 과 2 를제 2 외국어로선택할수있어서학생수에제한이있었는데, 이제모든단과대학학생들에게한국어를선택할수있도록하면좀더많은학생들이한국어를공부할수있게됩니다. 이것은또한여러전공분야의학생들이한국에관심을가질수있고, 한국유학을유도할수있는기회가될것이며대학측에서도아시아학부개설에박차를가할수있고그결과한국학과가개설될수있을것입니다. 대학측에서는처음한국학이소개되자, 어떤방법이가장효율적일것인가를여러방법으로시도를해보았습니다. 이제그실험의결과로한국어가모든학부에소개될것입니다. Complutense 대학교의씨앗형사업목적이었던한국학강의신설은지난 3 년에걸쳐, 한국어와한국문화강의신설그리고한국학수료증코스신설로그목적을달성했고, 꼼풀루텐세대학교에아시아학부개설의필요성을인지시켜그작업을발전해나가도록유도했습니다. 특히국제학센터의한국학수료증코스는해마다발전을거듭해꼼풀루텐세대학교뿐아니라다른대학들에서도수강을신청해그위치를확고히했고, 수업이금요일오후와토요일오전인것을활용해이제는스페인곳곳에서강의를수강하러옵니다. 이강의는 Complutense 대학교의학생들은 6 credit 를받을수있는반면, 일반인들이나타대학학생들은 Complutense 대학교의수료증을받게됩니다. 올해부터는수강이끝나고제출하는졸업논문중가장잘된 10 편의논문을선정해출판할것입니다. 이한국학수료증코스는대학교에개설된한국학수업과병행해아주큰성과를이루고있습니다. 9
