This paper aims to examine the formation and listedness of nonce words on the point of microscopic and macroscopic view, and to discuss the synchronic and diachronic aspects of each level as well as actuality issues. The findings in this paper are as follows. First, nonce words which are formed synchronically by the language competence are the significant subject of study to examine the word formation and listedness. Second, the words formed from syntactic construction are constructed by restructuring such as word-creating rule(d&w 1987). Third, the formation of words and sentences is synchronic. There are the differences between morphology and syntax because of the degree of listedness. The listedness is basically diachronic. Fourth, the oppositive terms such as individual words - societal words and possible words - listed words can systematize the process of word formation and listedness. Fifth, the nonce words exist dynamically on synchrony. : (nonce words), (word formation), (listedness), (restructuring), (institutionalization) 1.,. * 182 (2011.4.16, )..,.
