Bible In A Year: Creation & God s Characters : Genesis 1:1-31 Pastor Ken Wytsma [ ] Discussion Questions: 1. Pastor Ken spoke on the overall value of tackling this Bible In A Year series. Or use the App s family discussion plan for each week s sermon to make it a family affair) Today, Pastor Ken kicks off our new year-long series that will take us through the entire Bible (focusing on select highlights, of course). After explaining what the purpose and value of this Bible In A Year series is for our community, we will start off with Genesis 1, and how the creation account reveals much about God s characters to us. The key characteristics we will see from this account are that, (1) God is communal 2. Pastor Ken discussed three key characteristics the creation account reveals about God. Please summarize as a group what exactly was meant by each of these three, and how Ken saw them in the creation narrative. (2) God is creative (3) God is communicative We ll further consider the implications for our own character that ours is a God like that. 3. What is the significance for us that God can be described in these ways?
