Electrical devices could be damaged by transient voltage such as a lightning surge. Therefore the measures to protect the equipments from transient, such as a lightning are required. The ground system is important in this respect. The representative parameter of grounding system performance is earth ground resistance. Precise prediction of earth resistance is required, because it is difficult to modify and change after the completion of the grounding system construction. Numerical modeling is often used in numerical analysis to identify the electrical characteristics of the grounding system. However complex systems are difficult to predict grounding characteristics by numerical analysis. If the total electric field of the earth in general is similar to the antenna model, in that the incident electric field and expressed as a sum of the scattering field. In this study, the electromagnetic field simulation tool ANSYS HFSS module containing the antenna model was used to analyze performance of ground system. Both the simple and complex grounding system were analyzed by simulation tool and experimental method. As a result simulation method is effective to predict performance of a complex ground system. Key Words : grounding system, electromagnetic simulation, soil parameters, earthing electrode 1. 서론 정보통신기술의발전과스마트기기들의보급에따라전기 전자기기의내전압특성이낮아지면서낙뢰, 서지등의이상전압에의한설비의피해사고가증가하고있다 1). 국내낙뢰발생빈도는세계적인기상이변과더불어최근 5 년간과거에비하여약 3 배정도증가된것으로보고되고있다. 이로인하여기기의오동작이나소손사고도증가하고있어이상전압으로부터기기를보호할수있는대책이요구된다. 국내에서는자연재해대책법발효와더불어낙뢰도자연재해중하나로규정하고있으며관련사고를예방하기위한조치를공공기관에서부터수행해야만하는상황이다. 이러한피뢰시스템관련국제규격으로는 IEC62305 표준이대표적인규격이다 2). 피뢰시스템중접지시스템은뇌격발생시유입되는뇌격전류를효과적으로대지에방류시켜인체의안전을확보하고대지전위상승을억제함으로써기기의고장과파손을방지하는역할을한다. 또다른접지의목적은접지시스템전위를균등하게하며, 안정된기준점전위를제공하여전기설비의안정과기능의향상을위한것이다 3,4). 전기설비에서접지시스템은인체의안전과기기를보호하기위한필수적인요소로건축구조물의설계와시공에있어서접지저항의해석과측정을통한특성평가가선행되어야한다. 접지시스템의성능을평가하는방법으로는접지저항을측정하는방법과접촉전압이나보폭전압등을측정하는방법등이있다. 접지저항의측정은접지시스템의시공이완료된후 Corresponding Author : Young Jin Kim, Tel : , karis870@naver.com Dept. of Control & Instrumentation Engineering, Changwon National University, 20 Changwondae-ro Uichang-gu Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do 51140, Korea 48

2 에시행되므로측정결과에따른수정및보완이어려울수있으므로사전에설계의타당성을수치해석적인방법에의해검증하는것이효과적이다. 이러한접지시스템의수치해석방법으로는회로이론, 전송선로이론및전자계이론등이주로사용된다. 최근에는전자계이론중접지시스템에주로사용되는이론은안테나모델과모멘트법을기본으로하고있다 5). 이방법은손실대지내부나근처에위치한헤르츠다이폴 (Hertzian dipole) 에대한전자계의완전한해를구하는것이다 6). 일반적인경우대지속에서전체전계는입사전계와산란전계의합으로표현된다는점에서안테나모델과유사하다 7). 접지시스템은설치되는전극의형태에따라수직형 ( 접지봉 ), 수평형 ( 매설지선 ), 메시형상등으로구분할수있다. 수직, 수평, 메시형접지극의경우각각에대한해석기법관련연구가많이수행됐으며이를이용하여접지시스템의예측이가능하다. 그러나접지봉과메시형태를공유하고있는복합적인접지시스템의경우형상이복합적이어서기존에연구되어있는접지시스템해석기법으로분석이어려워진다. 본연구에서는안테나모델을포함한전자계해석도구인 ANSYS HFSS 모듈을이용하여기본형상에대한시뮬레이션을수행하였으며이를수치해석기법과비교하였다. 추가로실증시험장에동일한접지시스템을구축하여실제측정값과비교하여시뮬레이션의타당성을검토하였다. 동일한과정으로복합형상에대한접지시스템해석을수행하였다. 이를이용하여고가의접지해석프로그램없이상대적으로보급이많이되어있는상용프로그램을사용하여해석이가능함을확인하였다. ANSYS HFSS 의경우모델링된모델을등가회로로의변환이가능하다. 이를 PSPICE 같은전자해석툴을사용하여특정입력에대한해석이가능하다. 2. 접저저항해석기법 접지시스템의여러가지방법중매설지선을이용한접지는가장많이사용되고있는접지시스템중하나이다. 또한그형상이단순하여해석에대한신뢰도가높다. 지표면에서충분히깊게매설된매설지선의접지저항은편장회전타원체공식으로부터다음과같이정의된다 8). (1) 여기서, 은매설지선의길이, 은매설지선의반경이다. 지표면에서 d[] 깊이에매설된매설지선의접지저항 R 은제 2 의지선 ( 영상 ) 의영향을받아다음과같이된다 8). (2) 여기에실제현장에설치된접지시스템의데이터인접지저항률 =126, 매설지선길이 =10, 매설지선의반경 r= , 매설깊이 d=0.75 를대입하면접지저항 R 은 19 이도출된다. 다수의매설지선을서로격자상으로접속하여대규모접지전극을구성한것이메시 ( 망상 ) 접지전극으로낮은접지저항을필요로하는발전소나변전소에서주로사용된다. 메시접지전극은형상이복잡하기때문에그접지저항을정밀하게예측한다는것은어려우며일반적으로접지극이차지하는최대면적으로간소화하여계산한다. 메시접지극이외부도체에의해둘러싸인면적 A[] 를이와동일한면적인원과같다고하였을때원의반경을 r[] 로한다면다음식과같다 8). 위식에의해계산된 r 을메시접지극의등가반경이라가정한다. 지표면아래로 d[] 깊이에메시접지극이지표면과평행하게매설되었다고가정하였을때접지저항은다음과같다 8). 1 인경우 : 메시접지극이매설된깊이가지표면에매우가까울경우접지극의아랫면에대한접지효과만이용된다. 2 인경우 : 메시접지극이매설된깊이가등가반경 r[] 과같은경우접지극의하단은접지효과가충분한반면상단은충분한접지효과를얻기힘들다. 3 김영진 김재형 김성주 (6) 메시접지극의최대면적이동일할지라도형상의변화에의해접지저항의변화가일어나므로, 이러한변화를반영하기위해서는메시계수 M 의파악이중요하고다음과같이얻을수있다 8). (7) 여기서, 은메시전극의등가반경, 는사용도체의반경이다. 메시접지극의등가접지저항과메시계수 M 을이용하여다음과같이표현할수있다 8). (8) 메쉬계시수가 일때의판상전극의접지저항 IEEE Standard 에서제안된 Sverak 의정의에따르면아래와같은수식을얻을수도있다 9). Complex ground system. 위에서볼수있듯이메시접지전극의경우간소화방법에따라계산결과의차이가크고정확한예측이어렵다. 실제현장에서는설치경비와성능면에서매설지선과수직접지극을복합적으로사용한다. 그예를 Fig. 1 에나타내었다. 이경우접지저항을예측한다는것은매우어렵다. 때문에일반적인규모로설치후접지저항을측정하고접지저항이설계목표치보다높을시추가로시공을하거나접지저감제등을사용하여접지저항을낮추는방법을이용하고있다. 3.1 다층대지모델 3. 접지저항시뮬레이션 접지저항해석을위해서는대지모델이필요하다. 대지모델은향후실증시험과비교하기위하여실증시험장의대지저항률측정값을기반으로모델링하였다. Table 1 은실증실험장의전극의거리에따른대지저항률의측정치를나타낸것이며, 측정은 CHAUVIN ARNOUX 사의접지저항계 ( 모델 CA6472) 를이용하여 Wenner 의 4 전극법으로측정하였다. Table 1. 4 Fig. 2. Multi-layer soil model. 대지저항률은실증실험장과의동일한조건으로모의하기위해실제측정을통하여선정하였으며측정결과는측정거리에따라 Table 1과같다. Fig. 4의접지시스템을전자계해석도구를이용하여시뮬레이션하였다. 전자계해석도구의경우시뮬레이션하는범위의제한이필요하므로해석하는대지의범위를 로하였다. Fig. 2에서구축한 3층대지모델을이용하여 10 의지선을 0.75 의깊이에매설한경우의접지저항을 3D EM Simulator 는 Ansys HFSS 를이용하여해석하였다. Fig. 5는정의된접지모델과지표면의전계분포를나타낸것이며, Fig. 6은전류밀도의단면을나타내는것으로검지전류의침투깊이를확인할수있다. 전류보조극과수직으로배치된전위보조극과접지전극의연장선을따라 a와 b지점간의전계 ( ) 와거리 ( ) 를적분하면수식 (14) 와같이접지전극의전위를계산할수있다. (14) Fig. 3. Multi-layer soil model. 실측대지저항률과 3 층대지모델을적용하여모델링하였으며결정된값은레이어별로대푯값을선정하여실측치와비교하는방법으로수행하였다. 1 층은 12, 70, 2 층은 18, 400, 3 층은 50, 1000 로결정하였다. 인가신호의전압은 50 Vrms 이며주파수는 110 Hz, 토양의유전율은 1, 투자율은 10 으로설정하였다. 접지극의재질은동이며, 저항률은 Siemens/m, 유전율은 1, 투자율은 로설정하였다. Fig. 2 는레이어별대지저항률을나타낸것이며 Fig. 3 에대지저항률의실측치와시뮬레이션결과의비교를나타내었다. Fig. 5. Magnitude of electric field distribution at the grounding surface. 3.2 매설지선의 3D EM(Electro Magnetic) 해석 매설지선의접지저항해석을위해 Fig. 4 와같이설 치하였다. 매설지선의길이는 10, 단면적 50, 깊이는 0.75 로하였다. Fig. 4. Fig. 7은 3D EM HGSS를 이용하여 계산한 매설지선 주위의 전계분포와 전위 상승 값을 나타낸 것이다. 전 류 보조극을 통해 인가되는 전류는 0.24 A이며, 이 때 의 지선의 최대전위는 V이다. 따라서 접지저항 은 V / 0.24 A = 18.2 이다. 접지극의 전위는 V, 접지저항은 6.84 이다. 3.3 복합형상 접지전극의 3D EM 해석 복합 형상 접지전극의 접지저항 해석을 위해 Fig. 1 과 같이 메시 전극과 수직 접지봉이 혼합된 접지 시스 템을 설치하였다. 이때 접지 시스템의 크기는 이며 5 간격으로 그리드를 설치하였으며 각 접 합 점에는 길이 1, 지름 14 mm의 접지봉을 설치하 였다. 대지 모델은 매설지선의 대지 모델과 동일하게 설정하였으며 Fig. 8에 복합 형상의 접지 시스템의 지 표면의 전계 강도 분포를 나타내었다. Fig. 9는 복합형상 전극 주위의 전계분포와 전위 상 승 값을 나타낸 것이다. 주입된 전류는 A이며 3.4 접지저항 측정 및 비교 시뮬레이션 분석 결과와 실제 접지저항 측정값을 비 교하기 위하여 Fig. 1과 Fig. 4의 접지 시스템을 구축하 였으며 Fig. 10에 설치 장면을 나타내었다. Comparing the measured and calculated values, and simulation Horizontal electrodes ground system[ ] Mesh ground system[ ] Complex ground system[ ] Calculated Simulation Measures 접지저항측정법은측정전류를인가하기위하여사용되는보조전극에따라 2 전극법, 3 전극법, 전위강하법으로분류된다. 전위강하법은주로대규모시스템에서접지저항의정확한측정에적합하며, 현재가장널리사용되는방법이다. 따라서본논문에서는전위강하법을이용하여시뮬레이션과측정을수행하였다. 전위강하법은무한원점에대한전위상승을기준으로하며, 현실적으로유한구간의전위상승을택하고있다. 유한구간을정하는데있어서보조전극의위치선정이중요한데전위강하법은보조전극접지저항의영향이작아소규모접지전극뿐만아니라대규모접지시스템과같이낮은접지저항을가지는접지시스템에도적합한방법이다. 접지저항측정은시뮬레이션과동일하게수정된전위강하법으로 CHAUBIN ARNOUX 사의 CA6472 를이용하여측정하였다. Table 2 는측정된결과와계산결과및시뮬레이션결과를비교한것이다. 비교측정결과수평지선의경우 Table 2 와같이전통적인계산방법에의한결과값과시뮬레이션에의한결과가거의동일함을확인하였으며이를통해시뮬레이션기법의유효성을확인하였다. 실제측정값과는약간의차이를나타내고있으나이는실제시공상의물리형상적인요인과토양의불균일성에기인하는것으로판단된다. 접지봉과메시전극이혼합된접지시스템에대해서는계산적인방법으로는분석이불가능하였으며시뮬레이션과실제측정값을비교하였다. 분석결과두결과값은각각 5.3 와 4.7 으로근사한특성을나타내었다. 접지시스템은접지구조물의형상이복잡할경우에정확한예측이어렵지만본시뮬레이션기법을이용하여접지전극을실제와유사하게모의함으로써기존의복잡한해석툴에의존하지않고측정값에좀더가까운결과를예측할수있음을확인하였다. 4. 고찰및결론 접지시스템은기기의안정적인유지및인명피해를위해매우중요하다. 실제접지시스템의시공은설치의용이성과경제성을고려하여복합형상으로설치되는것 이일반적이다. 복합형상의경우접지시스템의해석이어려우며매우고가의해외분석툴을이용하고있는실정이다. 접지시스템의전기적현상은전자계현상과유사하기때문에관련된접지시스템해석에많은연구가진행되어있다. 본논문에서는전자계해석도구를이용하여복합형상의접지시스템을해석하였다. 해석방법의신뢰성을확인하기위해계산적해석이가능한접지시스템인매설지선과메시접지시스템을대상으로수치해석을수행하였으며, 이를전자계해석도구를이용하여해석된결과와비교하고실제접지시스템을구축하여비교분석하여그유효성을확인하였다. 동일한기법으로복합형상의접지시스템에대한해석결과와실제시공된접지시스템의측정값과비교하여그결과를비교하였다. 이를통하여복합형상의접지시스템에대한해석이가능한방법을확인하였으며이는향후복합형상에대한접지시스템해석방법으로사용이가능하다.
