The hydrate was prepared frm a mixture f waste yster shell and industrial aluminium hydrxide by heating t 100 C, grinding and mixing with water. The hydrate was cmpsed f amrphus aluminium hydrxide and C AH 6 (H:H O) frmed by reslutin-precipitatin mechanism f the system C-A-H. By heating the hydrate, nearly pure and prus calcium mnaluminate clinker was frmed at 1400 C which is fairly lwer temperature than that f its melting pint. The frmatin f calcium mnaluminate was perfrmed mainly by the reactin between amrphus alumina and C 1 A 7 caused by the decmpsitin f C AH 6. The immediate and earlier frmatin f C 1 A 7 seemed t be accelerated by nt nly high surface area and instability f the thermally decmpsed hydrate but als the catalytic effect f water decmpsed frm the hydrate. The final calcium mnaluminate clinker was very prus because f the influence f highly prus shape f the thermally decmpsed hydrate. Fig.. 40 SEM micrphtgraph f clinker prepared frm raw material by nrmal clinkering methd at 100 C. 광물인 CA의 생성량이 증대되어가는 과정이라고 할 수 있으며 이러한 결과로부터 생원료의 조합으로는 1400 C 의 온도에서 순수한 CA를 합성할 수 없음을 보여준다. 또한 이 온도 범위에서는 반복소성으로도 순수한 CA 클 링커를 얻을 수가 없었다... 클링커 소성용 수화물의 특성 본 연구의 핵심은 CA 클링커 소성용 출발물질로서 CaO/ Al O 몰 비가 1인 수화물을 사용하는 것이다. 따라서 생 원료의 조합물은 수화반응성이 없으므로 수화반응성을 부 여하기 위하여 여러 가지 온도까지 가열하여 gibbsite의 탈수, calcite의 탈탄산 그리고 이들 간의 반응에 의한 알 루민산칼슘계 광물의 적절한 생성이 순차적으로 일어나 도록 하였는데 이를 위한 열처리는 앞에서 실시한 생원 료 조합물의 소성과 동일하게 실시하였다. 수화 실험 결 과, 소성 온도가 900 C부터 1100 C까지인 시료는 Ca(OH) 를 생성하면서 급격히 소화하여 경화체가 형성되지 않았 으므로 클링커 소성용 출발물질로 부적합하였다. 이는 앞 의 Fig. 에서 볼 수 있듯이 시료가 유리(遊離) CaO를 주 광물로 하고 있어 CaO 본연의 수화거동을 나타내었기 때 문이며, 약간의 CA 가 생성되어 있던 1100 C 시료로도 CA 의 느린 수화 반응성 으로 인해 적합한 경화체를 얻 을 수가 없었다. 그러나 가열 온도 100 C부터는 모든 시 료가 수화 반응 후 경화체를 형성하였는데, 이는 Fig. 에서와 같이 시료에 생성된 C-A계 광물의 수화에 기인함 을 알 수 있다. 왜냐하면 모든 C A, C A, CA 및 CA 는 모두 똑같은 용해-석출 반응에 의해 5 C 이상에서 C AH 로 직접 수화하며 이때 C A 이외의 광물은 몰 비 에 따라 다른 양의 Al(OH) 가 함께 수화물로 공존하게 된 다는 것은 잘 알려진 사실이기 때문이다. 이를 확인하기 위하여 100 C 가열시료의 미세구조와 이를 40 C에서 수 9) Fig. 4. SEM micrphtgraphs f clinkers prepared by hydrate-burning methd at varius temperatures. 는 존재하지 않음으로서 앞에서 생원료 조합물을 소성할 때보다(Fig. 참조) 알루민산칼슘계 광물의 생성반응이 많이 이루어져 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 온도가 점차 높 아짐에 따라 C A 의 양이 줄어들고 CA의 생성량이 증 가하므로 CA는 주로 C A 과 비정질 알루미나의 반응으 로 생성되는 것으로 고찰된다. 이와 같은 과정으로 클링 커 생성반응이 생원료 조합물을 소성할 때보다 촉진된 결 과 1400 C에서는 원래의 조합비인 CA가 거의 순수한 상 태로 합성되었음을 알 수 있다. 기존의 방법대로 생원료 조합물을 1600 C 이상의 온도 에서 용융, 급랭하여 합성한 CA 클링커는 매우 치밀하며 분쇄가 어려운 상태로 얻어진다. 그러나 본 연구에서 수 화물을 출발물질로 하여 합성한 CA 클링커는 원료인 수 화물 경화체의 열분해에 의하여 저온에서 다공성인 상태 를 거쳐서 고상반응으로 합성되므로 클링커의 미세구조 가 다를 것이 예상된다. Fig. 8은 100 C부터 100 C 간격 으로 1400 C까지 소성한 세 가지 클링커 시료의 전자현 미경 사진을 나타낸 것이다. 이에 따르면 100 C의 시료 에서는 약 100nm 크기의 무수한 연결 기공을 가진 덩어 리들이 수 µm 크기로 분할되어 있음을 알 수 있다. 이러 한 형태는 당연히 수화물 경화체가 열분해되어 형성된 다 공체의 형태로부터 기인된 형해구조(形骸構造)라고 고찰 할 수 있다. 클링커 소성 온도가 올라가고 고상반응이 진 행됨에 따라 점차 기공의 크기가 커지고 slid 부분이 두 터워지는 slid agglmeratin 이 진행되나, 이러한 구조 는 CA의 생성이 완료된 1400 C까지 상당량 잔존함을 알 수 있다. 이 결과 본 연구에서 얻은 CA 클링커는 매우 분쇄가 용이하였으며 같은 입도로 분쇄한 일반적인 치밀 11) 제 47 권 제 5호(010)
