Relationship between Adolescents Relational Aggression and SNS Addition Proneness: Mediating Effects of SNS Usage Motivation Segyeong Highschool Korea University The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of SNS usage motivation in the relationship between relational aggression and SNS addiction proneness among teenagers. Specifically, this study intended to examine the differential effects of the subscales of SNS usage motivation (seeking social relationships, information-seeking, pursuit of self-status and entertainment). In order to achieve this purpose, the data has collected from middle and high school students and has analyzed with multiple mediation analysis, applying a bootstrapping technique. The results of this study indicated that relational aggression was significantly related to SNS usage motivation. Two subscales of SNS usage motivation, pursuit of self-status and entertainment partially mediated the relationship between relational aggression and SNS addiction proneness. The limitations and implications of this research were also discussed. key words: SNS addiction proneness, relational aggression, SNS usage motivation
