Journal of Educational Innovation Research 2018, Vol. 28, No. 4, pp.535-555 DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.21024/pnuedi.28.4.201812.535 - - Analysis of Narrative Comic Book as an Educational Media - Focusing on Let Me Eat Your Pancreas - Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine whether a narrative comic, Let Me Eat Your Pancreas qualifies as an educational medium. To do so, examining whether the contents of the comic include educational elements, narrative strategies and expressions to express fun and emotion was necessary. Method: The comic Let Me Eat Your Pancreas was analyzed thoroughly and found educational elements. Narrative strategy and expression method were analyzed based on six elements of story composition method and comic composition used in analyzing literary works. Results: In this book, two educational elements were found: social attention and understanding of the lonely and happiness of death. It has a narrative strategy based on tension and relaxation, solving mystery, and human warmth. It also provided fun and inspiration by using frames, speech bubbles, typography, characters, background pictures and motion lines appropriately. Conclusion: Through this study, Let Me Eat Your Pancreas was qualified as educational medium. In addition, as shown in this comic, if comics of education, narrative strategy, and expression system are satisfied, general comics can be used educationally. 교육매체로서의 서사 만화의 분석 - 너의 췌장을 먹고 싶어 를 중심으로 - 찬가지로 인물을 중심으로 배경을 그리고 있지만, 배경 그 자체만 그린 면도 간간히 보인다. 배 경만 그린 그림은 거의 직선을 사용하고 각진 모습을 하고 있다. 하지만, 인물과 배경은 마치 실제로 존재하는 것과 같이 매우 사실적으로 묘사하고 있으며, 인물의 감정이나 행위에 맞게 배 경 화면을 그리고 있다. 만화의 캐릭터들은 일본 만화에 나오는 인물의 전형적인 모습을 보인다. 눈을 동그랗고 크게 그리며, 볼은 둥글고 턱 선은 뾰쪽한 편이다. 남녀 주인공을 비롯한 모든 캐릭터들이 머리 길이 와 헤어스타일 등으로 구분할 수 있을 뿐이다. 인물 묘사는 감정의 변화를 명확하게 나타날 필요가 있을 때는 클로저업으로, 그렇지 않을 경 우에는 롱샷을 잡고 있다. 주인공이나 여주인공의 감정 상태를 매우 섬세하게 표현하기 위하여 눈의 동공 크기와 모양, 눈가에 맺힌 이슬, 눈썹 모양, 입의 모양, 이마에서 귀밑으로 흘러내리 는 식은 땀, 얼굴 위를 덥고 있는 검은 색의 가는 실선 등으로 감정을 표현하고 있다. <그림 Ⅳ-8> 만화 내의 클로저업. 양윤옥 역, (2017). 하권 p.94 <그림 Ⅳ-9> 만화 내의 클로저업. 양윤옥 역, (2017).하권 p.95 그림 Ⅳ-8>과 <그림 Ⅳ-9>에서와 같이 주인공이 여주인공에게 죽지 않았으면 좋겠다 하는 내심을 엉겹결에 밝히고, 이에 대하여 주인공이 겸연쩍어 하는 모습과 여주인공의 놀란 표정과 뒤이어 흐뭇하게 주인공을 바라보는 모습을 매우 사실적으로 그리고 있다. <그림 Ⅳ-10>에서 롱샷은 인물의 전신을 보여주며, 실제 장면에서 일어나는 일을 얼굴 표정 < - 549 -
