According to the concept analy sis m ethod by W alker & Av ant, the character s of concept "w om en health " w ere analyzed from literature. T he results were as followings : first, it em pha sizes reprodu ctiv e focu sed health care (childbirth - orient ed) an d norm al dev elopm ent proces s reg arded as abnorm al. S econd, it is affected by cultual environm ent. T hird, it is related w ith sex. F orth, it con sider s the hum an, fem inine and m at ern al aspect s. F ifth, it n eed w om an - cent ered nur sin g approach t o prom ote w om an ' s qu ality of life. Sixth, it stresses not only w holistic hum an h ealth prom otion but also th e h arm ony bet w een hum an an d environm ent. S ev enth, it is needed to b e con sidered w om an ' s v ariou s experien ces as im portant an d it approaches ph enom enogically and int erdisciplinary. Eighth, it needed to under st an ds person - situ ation int eraction al aspect. Ninth, it can prom ote th e adapt ation pow er to surroun ding environm ent. Abov e result s can elucidate the concept of "w om en health ", and will be a basis of theory developm ent of "w om en health" In practical nur sing, these results will be a basis for the promotion of w omen health and for the incr ease of life quality.
