Journal of Educational Innovation Research 2018, Vol. 28, No. 4, pp.213-237 DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.21024/pnuedi.28.4.201812.213 (Problem-Based Learning) * Analysis on the Impact Factors of Overall Satisfaction in Problem-Based Learning in University Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze on the impact factors of overall satisfaction at Problem-Based Learning(PBL) classes. Method: To this end, we analysed overall satisfaction rates and the problems that they were aware of about PBL. I collected responses from 404 students of 14 classes with the survey at the end of last semester. Results: The results will be useful for designing more sustainable PBL classes. I found that the level of authenticity of the problem solving and understanding of contents were the most influential factors on the overall satisfaction. The level of difficulty of task and that of professor s intervention are also very important. The responses for open questions about their learning experiences showed that the characteristics of PBL were attractive itself for them. They also reported they felt difficult to get used to this new way of learning. Conclusion: I suggested that the problem and learning activities should be well designed in the real contexts, and the introductory guides of PBL be offered to professors and students. And well designed facilitating supports in the level of university, professors, and students will raise the level of overall satisfaction rate on PBL and allow PBL classes continually offered and developed in higher education.
